Impressed that you kept the AC, i see alot of these D/B turbo and the AC doesnt fit. I wonder if that area, the pipes...etc gets really hot because of the turbo there close to it.
Highly agree!! Tried an autozone distributor, it left me stranded just after 3 months, warranties it out, that one lasted 2 months. After that I returned it and got a used OEM honda.

What clutch do you use on this setup. I had a 6 puck clutch on my ITR DC2 turbo and ended up putting the car back to standard B18C NA engine due to the on/off nature of it. I just couldn't live with the way the clutch drove and the feel of it. Ideally if I was to do a conversion again, I'd want a full single disc that had a pedal lightness and feel like an OEM clutch. As for the distributor issue and the lack of original distributors, how about running a coil on plug setup?
The 5830 is rated at 600hp. Real world, this setup would make mid 500s on E85 and high pressure...but it is a 93 oct car so 400whp is the realistic threshold
Very beautiful build I’m trying to do something similar right now. Uhm May I ask what is considered a turbo muffler? I’m very curious is that a muffler that can create a lot of back pressure? Thanks for any feedback! I have plent more questions lol

I have been having so many issues with after market dizzys.i have gone through 2 in 7weeeks. I had a OE 95 gsr dizzy for a few years no issues then finally went out. Going coil on plug next season. Worst part those aftermarket dizzy are $300! For a paper weight
Yes, had a convo with the silver Civic owner immediately after situating this one. It is going to be COP converted along with possibly any future B series build done here.
Hey greg, i have this kit(non AC version) for my gsr. I want to upgrade to a ramhorn manifold. If i get the ramhorn manifold, downpipe and dumptube combo that you sell is that all i will need? Will the hot side of the inter cooler piping still line up to the new turbo position?
i might need to source out another valve just to get that oil cap vent for a cleaner look in my engine bay. its crazy, because that design is such a no brainer like why havent done this years ago.
They actually did. I've had a Vibrant cap of similar design on my S2K for over 10 years now...The L7 is a nicer version. We also have them in stock on the shelf here.
I have the b16a2 em1 drivetrain but it’s pretty much stock, just I/H/E with hondata s300. Is it realistic to expect similar numbers with this kit? I specifically wanted to keep my a/c system operational.
B series builders rave about the MostPlus distributors believe it or not. They are Taiwan junk! I had one and it acted the same way as the one you pulled off. I went to COP and full fueltech. What a differance👍
It’s just a matter of ventilation. I can’t say there is a “set point”. With this being a freshly built/sleeved block I wanted to be sure to vent the crank case (which is what I try to address first in a setup with a built block). This helps both the motor and the turbocharger. Pairing that with head ventilation just gives all around great pressure “relief” . You can also do well with just venting the head w/ an ample ventilation setup when necessary (ie F/H/K motors). Most importantly, just have some sort of ventilation on a FI Honda motor.
Nice work SiR, I have learned my lesson when it comes to after market distributors.
Thank you. They can definitely be hit or miss

OEM is the way if keeping a distributor on a “high performance” app.

I really like that setup. You were right about how quiet it is, that’s impressive. What kind of power can that turbo make when you turn it up?

Hello, a Turbo muffler will be a high flow and typically straight thru muffler in 2.5-3". We generally use Vibrant mufflers / resonators here

GOAUTOWORKS looks so much cleaner as well. Go with denso plugs.
i had to do the same with my 95 gsr dizzy. it finally went a few years ago and i had to go with a external coil and icm bypass.

We can use a long leg 90 coupler to adapt hot side charge pipe connection

I'm assuming the car has the Go-Auto cast manifold. What turbo is the car using and did you have to notch the block? Thanks
Charles Brown correct, all the details are in the video
Same thing with ignition coils on a ls engine. Always go with stock
