This is my favorite video by far. I've always been a non vtec dude. I've always been a DA dude. I'm gonna pull mine out of the bushes. I've been inspired.
heroisvillain the torque comes on early compared to vtec. I used to be able to cruise at 35 in the city in 5th gear and no shuttering and could still accelerate in 5th. On the highway though it sucked on fuel economy.
@Aaron Cubitt I think the issue is the head design for the non vtec was for economy. I had a full poet and polish valve job bigger cams in my n/a but like you said turbo makes the difference.
Just a genuine guy.. you could show up with a self bought lambo or a 10 year ebay turbo project and Brent will Respect you just as much. Keep up the work homie!
LOL that was my mindset coming into the video as I hadn't even thought about a LS B series in YEARS. I was like how tf are they powering a B18 with LS parts haha.
Pfi speed. Best tune shop you can find. Nothing but good guys. Love the environment there. In a high stress situation, everyone is having a good time at pfi speed
Makes me miss my old LS turbo Civic. 94 EG coupe, LS swap with GSR trans and a 60-1 made 405whp on 18psi. Motor had piston, rods, block guard and the head had a mild pnp with Crower stage 2 turbo cams and valve train. Was an absolute blast and it took abuse for over 3 yrs before I got rid of it, not one problem.
I just finished a $8000 dollar ls/vtec build. On e85 I should get a solid 650 with room for more. The only reason I didn't do straight ls is do to those dam valve rockers. Had honda built the ls head rocker shaft set up like they did on the vtec heads I would have absolutely went Ls head. The numbers this young man is getting with his Ls is outstanding! I am seriously impressed!!

Blown away. I'm going to get one of my cars tuned by you guys and I'm in PA. The enthusiasm and funny moments will be worth it by itself. Keep it real guys
Brent loves life! His job, which he probably doesn’t call it, and lives to tune and make people happy! You get so excited getting cars to their maximum potential. And beyond sometimes! Let her rip!
The B18 non vtec is a strong motor that's hard to kill. I had the same motor in my 94 Integra and they used that motor for years. I put that car through hell and back with nitrous and many bolt ons with stock internals and it just kept taking all the abuse I threw at it. Such an awesome motor.
I been out the Honda game do to getting shot 3 times but watching your videos inspired me to get back in the game I been recovering for a while and getting my parts together...love ur site keep doing what ur doing peace out
This is pure awesome! This video made me change my mind on swapping in a b18c1 in my 96 LS Integra, im just gonna build the motor i have. Vids are getting better, keep up the hard work Brent!
