Thank you so much for your videos man! It does really help give insight and adds on to my research. I am planning to apply to the rad tech program in 2025.
I have a topic or questions for you if you don't have a video on it already. I have a brother in law who is currently in an accelerated MRI school with no rad tech degree. He keeps telling me to just go staight into MRI because they pay more so no need to spend 2 years on a rad tech program. But my logic was that rad tech serves as a foundation which opens up more opportunities in the long term from what I found in my research including your videos. I am also from California so I am not sure if its different here or not.
What are the pros and cons of just going straight to a modality like mri instead of doing rad tech first? What are the differences in job economy or pay?

I stuttered I’m a rad tech now don’t worry patients do t care and co workers if they make fun of you they are losers I stutter and now a tech for one year and I constantly stutter aiming for management next :)

Juan! I haven’t started school yet, but I am thinking about it. I previously worked in a stand alone / outpatient facility as a PSR, but we only offered MRI & CT. My question is, would you also need to know how to give IV contrast for X- Ray?

Ok so in General Radiology you won’t have to start any IV’s they might teach you in school just so you have an understanding but when you start working as X-Ray we don’t start IV’s.

Yes, this definitely helped!!! That’s one of the things holding me back with starting the program, starting Iv’s. I mean eventually I want to but that’s on down the line lol

Ok so when you’re in school they teach you the BIG 3 (TIME, SHIELDING & DISTANCE) if you follow those rules you will be fine.

Ok so this is how it goes:
💢1st- YOU MUST BECOME A RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST (Usually takes 2 years )
💢 2nd- YOU CAN GO BACK TO SCHOOL FOR CT or MRI / SOME HOSPITALS CROSS-TRAIN YOU SO THATS ALSO AN OPTION.
