A quick tip: to avoid screen wash bubbling up through your washer jets and dribbling down your bonnet, you will need to drill a tiny hole in the screw cap lid for the new aluminium washer reservoir. This allows the expanding air inside the reservoir to vent out rather than forcing liquid through the pipes up to the jets.

+Phil Jones I haven’t noticed that problem, but good advice for those that might. Thanks.

I got the same bottle a while back with a eBay special £10 pump. It only worked downhill so I finally copied you and put the stock pump in. Centre punched a tad above the hole so that it wasn't as close to the bottom lip but it now works perfectly! Cheers for the vid mate 👍

U can remove the brace that sticks up for the charcoal canister. 2 bolts I believe 12 mil.

I did remove it in the end.

Thanks for sharing and is a very useful video. Do you know if this would work on an 02 VVT?

Nice vid'. I've done both these engine bay mods on my mk1 Eunos. Makes loads of room. Removing the EGR cannister makes space for a coolant reroute ¦:¬D . I then put in an oil catch can (as I have a turbo) where the washer bottle was, but it's a 1/3 the size so there's still plenty of room. I like the fact that you film things as you go along, including any mistakes or time-out to think about what's next. Much more realistic rather than preparing in advance and only filming your successes! Keep up the good work.

+Phil Jones Thanks for the kind words Phil.
I like to keep it real, because I am no expert, I’m just muddling my way through.

Just put an filter on the camshaft ventilation. Catch can is almost useless if running a turbo. Vacuum gonna be rare. And EGR canishter ??? Egr is exhaust gasses back to the intake. It's a solenoid removal and blinding 2 ports. This cannister 'catches' fuel vapors.

Does anyone have a part number or an eBay link to the "grommet" @ 5:26? I'm having a hard time with what to search to bring it up.

Your alloy washer reservoir looks very cool and that's a neat install. Good job.
Do you have any concerns with the area beneath the new tank filling with debris, leaves and whatnot?
Removing the carbon filter also oooks neater. Nice one👍

+Guy Wilson thanks for the nice words. There’s not much room under the washer bottle so I don’t think much will get under there.

Hi I did the canister delete mod and now first MOT since, no error codes but CO double readings and failed. Could this be the cause? Thanks

Thanks for the vid, so glad i can get rid of the EGR. cant seem to find the same washer tank as yours though! the only one ive found is about £120, you gave a link to someone below to find it, but its a broken link, would you mind pointing me in the right direction so i can complete my quest!

Ah, I think the seller I got mine from is no longer doing it. All I can suggest is searching for alloy washer bottle mx5 and hopefully you’ll come across one.

whatcha gonna do with all the room? No use having it if not going to do something like put a turbo in it's place.

What mafh is that and is there somthing like it for the na6 chissis, i dont have an aftermarket ecu, but would like a cheap and easy way to make it so my aftermarket filter doesn't hit my headers, and possibly make my bay cleaner. Cheap and easy is key, just no zip tie mods, lol.

    • @anicepineapple9067
      @anicepineapple9067 4 роки тому +1

I've looked into it and that one only works with the nb. The Na's sensor has a MAP sensor and it works differently. It won't connect to the ecu unfortunately. I've been looking for something like that too.

I got it from eBay, Davefab do a nice one but it’s expensive, mine was an unbranded one, about £40-50 if I remember right.

My NB don’t look like that... my canister purge valve is connected to similar looking circular thing. Not sure I should assume it’s a charcoal canister.

Ebay, but I don't think they make this exact one anymore, DAVEFAB does one, but it is pricey.

If you park in a garage you'll notice a petrol smell, the fumes coming from the gas tank are just venting into the air rather than being absorbed in the canister.

I assume you don’t ever pass your mot? I’ve done every mod you have on your chanel, steering wheel, Evan delete ect and every one failed in mot. Lack of Evan canister and no air bag is an instant fail. What do u do about this?
