And this is why the Spice Girls were a phenomenon. They weren’t just a singing group, they were the more iconic and coolest people in this planet. The perfect pop stars 👌🏼
Love that you mentioned their attitude and energy a lot - back in the day they called it 'Girl Power' :)
Lol yes
Loving your hair right now
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Scary spice
Thought the same thing when the video started, ooh look at her hair it's so pretty :) You look so well chicky :)
@@OhMyGoshIndia I gotta jump onboard too...LOVE your natural hair!
I have to add my compliment too-I love your hair!
Mid-90's girl band that was needed at just the right time, India. Every young teen girl aspired to the Girl Power that was Ginger, Baby, Posh, Sporty, and Scary. (I liked a couple of their songs)
Only 2?
Spice Girls are my guilty pleasure. I'm a grown man, and was when they first came out, but their songs are so catchy, and they are all so cute, I just marked out! LOL
You should never feel guilty for having taste.
Their
"guilty pleasure" doesn't exist! If u like it; go for it!!
Man, back then I didnt want ANY one to know I liked the Spice Girls. I had their CD behind another CD. lol
@@Doctor_Kissworthy Thanks. That's really embarassing! Corrected.
Damn you missed out on a whole era. Spice Girls are the top dogs of girlgroups.
Right On! They were actually turned down by Simon Cowell. At that time Girlbands weren't successful after Banarama (Venus). Yet at one time they were the Biggest Girlband in the world. Even Prince Harry was a fan. Geri Halliwell went Solo and to many they like Banarama kicked the door open for the next Generation of Girlbands. If you can check them out, The All Saints, Misteeq, The Sugababes, Little Mix and Girls Aloud. In the UK they create Boybands/Girlbands like Assembly lines. Also check out "Mama" that's a tearjerker.
@@laminage I was a teenager when this was released, to say I was a fan is an understatement!! Good times
@@thomassmith2227 the impulse spray and chuppa chups need to make a comeback! 😢😍
Yup
@@thomassmith2227 same
"Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life" are essentials!
Definitely spice up your life
they’re all essentials
Absolutely!!!! 🙃
spice up your life
SPICE GIRLS es el grupo femenino más grande de la historia del POP. ICONICAS! SPICE GIRLS FOREVER ✌️💕 Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷💖
"Viva Forever" is a stunning song from them. You'd love it! Beautiful harmonies, melody, arrangement and message.
I was in my thirties raising kids when they came out. I was a grown woman but I loved loved loved them, still do. I've never cared what people think of me. These ladies brought it every time! Everyone seemed to have a favorite but I love them all!
Can relate! I saw them in concert with my husband, we couldn’t find 2 seats together, I took section 112 he was up in the nosebleeds with a bunch of kids!
Love the hair
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yes more Spice Girls! You'll love "Stop" and "Holler." Also check out their solo stuff. For some odd reason their solo projects never made it to the usa. Mel C aka Sporty has a cool song with Left Eye called "Never Be The Same Again." And Mel B aka Scary spice has a song with Missy Elliot called "I want you back." Lots of cool solo stuff.
Gotta love The Spice Girls....used to buy my daughter all their gear. It was for me too. Still have the VHS . They just rocked it
Please do more Spice Girls, I was obsessed with them growing up. When they did their US tour, I went all across the country attending concerts!
I bet that was an awesome experience
I bet that was an awesome experience
Please play Wannabe
definitely one of their best songs. 'Goodbye' and 'who do you think you are' two of my favourites.
Yup, that vinyl sound at the beginning is so nostalgic to me, probably because this era marked the start of my teenage years
Momma is good, and When 2 becomes 1 is also a "turn up the radio and sing loud" songs
Hi India! love your diversity! Would you react to the great Swedish tenor Jussi Bjoeling singing Che Gelida Manina? Pavarotti said he was his own favorite! Thanks
More Spice Girls, please! Your reaction is the way all should feel watching the Spice Girls! Love! Do "Spice up your life" Thanks!
i LOVE the Spice Girls - my daughter was into them at the time. Whoever wrote their music did an excellent job! "Who Do You Think You Are?", "Too Much", "Stop", "Viva Forever" - all great tunes!
They wrote their own music...
Stop is so underrated
Doubtful
I like "When Two Become One".
Okay I stand corrected; they needed assistance in writing the songs on their album. I only looked at the 1st one though 🤷♂️
You can't really say Spice Girls without starting with "Wannabe". It's a must. Also, you have to to choose one. It's at tradition. Me, I'm Sporty Spice all the way. She is even the only one that really is still having a career. Even just put out a new album. The "Who I am" video is a real nostalgic trip. Btw, I like your hair natural like this :)
I'm ginger spice lol and u r right. Gotta start with wannabe
Scary on one of them talent shows
Totally agree! Start with "Wannabe" is a must!
And of course, everyone must pick one of them. Personally, I live for Sporty Spice as well!
Sporty was my queen,in the 90's she could kick my ass any day and i let her with a smile.
I was Posh, the one in the background that was just there to fill out the group haha
Spice Girls were the soundtrack to my childhood. I definitely tried Baby's pigtails and failed miserably lol. I wanted them so badly to come to the us on their reunion tour last year.
Sporty Spice's adlibs at the end 👌🏻
I knew I was gay when I first heard Madonna's Vogue...but this song just crystalized and solidified it...Spice Up Your Life
That video is literally how the Spice girls broke the American music market and got the Spice World movie deal or a very big part of it!
I was a teenager when they were popular. I was ABSOLUTELY NOT a fan. I was all about alternative and indie. With that being said, listening to them now, we had some really good and fun music back then. Top 40 radio/MTV was worth listening to.
They were very popular with young girls at the time. I wasn't that into their music. but they promoted Girl Power to a generation of tweenagers, and I give them full credit for that!
I was an 8 year old boy and best believe guys were celebrating girl power too haha. I loved them so much...everyone my age did. Only the older teens during this time were too cool for them.
@@brandonaldaymachuse6669 My bad. I only knew a lot of girls that liked them, but I know plenty of boys did too, which is awesome.
@@taniaPBear yeah boys loved them too, although Girlpower was their thing and they were marketed towards girls alot. The LGBTQ audience and especially gay men are among their biggest fanbase these days.
Thank you for being real. You make me smile and I look forward to seeing your videos xx
Their song "mama" is my song for my mom who passed away 14 years ago. It's REALLY beautiful 😍
Ginger spice/ Geri ( the red head) was so fine in this video. They conquered the world and had non stop hits in the second half of the 90s. I recommand 2 Become 1 and Viva Forever as ballads from them and Who Do You Think You Are as a real uptempo.
I have watch like 5 reactions today but I loved yours! Spice Girls were all about that, the energy, the craziness. They were different from the rest and that made them icons
Mel C has the best voice of the spice girls
Sporty Spice or the one with the awesome great vox at the outro chours had the talent.
Yes, she has quite a successful solo career too.
No I think Emma has the sweetest voice
Her solo work is amazing
No one thinks Mrs Beckham has the best voice. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Checkout “Never Ever” by All Saints.
one of my favs!!!! (the uk version video is better than the US one.)
Read yours and Erins comments and the first song in my recommended was 'all saints never ever ' UK version. 😁
@@leef8126 lol, right? I mean, the US version is beautiful but does not match to the song at all!
Isn't that really a red hot chilli peppers track?
@@nemosays6337 not this one, "under the bridge" is.
Love that you enjoyed this and this isn't even their biggest hit. You've gotta react to Wannabe , Spice Up Your Life , 2 Become 1 , and Who Do You Think You Are. #GirlPower was their main motto
Your hair looks amazing, India! You'd fit right in with this band. Please check out their song "2 Become 1."
Born in late 2001 and I literally listen to them every day. Spice up your life ✌️💗😉
You definitely have to react to "Who do you think you are", it's one of their best songs. P.S. Love the hair!!
love this reaction. so glad to hear the girls again!
I ADORED this reaction, Ive watched you react to it a couple of times now :) the nostalgia hits me very hard here :)
Yaasss I was obsessed with the Spice Girls since I was a kid. I had a huge crush on Scary Spice! You should react to their other music videos! Specifically “Spice Up your Life” 😄😄
My first pop idols forever... I love them! Plz do more reactions!
You reminded me of my teenage self watching this video back in the 90's lol. There's more where that came from, they were such a phenomenon back in the day for a reason, i guess it's what they called "Girl Power" which was kinda like their "battle cry" and what they were about even tho they were so different from each other. They did their thing in such an entertaining and lightearted way that they were embraced by all kinds of people. Guys wanted them, girls wanted to be them, they were HUGE. Glad you enjoyed :)
India!! I never comment on anything, anywhere but I have to say your reaction videos make me smile and bring me joy. Even your reactions to music I was never into like Spice Girls. There is so much despair in our world and your videos really bless my heart. Thank you and yes... you’re hair looks amazing 😊
Means a lot to me ! More than you know ... ‘made me smile ....thank you 🥰🥰🥰
focusing on Scary Spice dancing in the background, she's so cool...
this video brought me so much joy! I was and still am in love with the spice girls

Love this reaction India! I was such a Spice Girls fan back in the day. If you decide to do more of their vids can I suggest ‘Spice up your life’ it’s a great music video.
The Spice Girls is probably the best thing to come out of the 90s.
hell no hahahaha

Love, love, love your hair! ❤️
I am a 41 year old man and I'm not ashamed to say I've loved the Spice Girls since day one. Love you Sporty.
ONce upon a time,
SPice girls ruled the world.
So much, My in law rented out a Town Hall in San Andreas in Calaveras County and had a SPice Girls Themed Birthday Party.
India you are so great ! LOVE YOU!
Spice Girls spreading vibes since mid 90s❤❤❤❤❤❤
A Spice Girls reaction and your hair looking this amazing?? My eyes popped out, I never clicked a video so fast!
Your hair looks amazing. I was never a Spice Girls fanboy, but now I think that I need to check them out. Thank you. :)
great reactions loved your facial expressions
FINALLY! THE NATURAL HAIR AND I'M LOVING IT!!!!
first time watching your videos you're so cute! and I love the hair.. Subscribed😊
You always look fab, but LOVING the look! ADORABLE!
My favourite Spice Girls songs are 2 Become 1 from the first album and wistfully beautiful Viva Forever from the second.
Cute song. Love your hair..more airy and light!😁😀😄
I love your hair like this!!
Was that song you heard Wannabe?.Please give it a try anyway. And I wish you would react to Melainie C , from The Spice Girls, singing Northern Star. While i am here, also Emeli Sande and Read All About It.
Girl you better spice up your life!! Lol love your videos I’m a new subscriber and loving it
I love your natural hair! Beautiful!
Don't forget the platform sneakers ! ;P Featuring "Katrina Highkick", "Trixie Firecracker", "Kung Fu Candy", "Midnight Miss Suki" and "Blazin' Bad Zula". The video was inspired by movie "Faster Pussycat Kill ! Kill !" Hard to imagine today but they were a huge impact and groundbreaking group back then with the attitude and spirit.
More more spice girl!!!!😘😘😘
Hair is awesome!! Love it!!
Love your reactions and I Love the Spice Girls.
India we LOVE your hair like this! The braids are nice but this is stunning. You are naturally beautiful...like roll out out bed beautiful. From one woman to another...🤗🥰👍
I love how excited you were to see this!
Loved the hair! 🥰
Spice Girls!! The best always!! And this is my favorite song!! Thank you for react!! ❤❤
This is my first time watching your videos. I love the spice girls, I've been "rediscovering" them for the last week, and I'm utterly obsessed with them (again); it's so cool to see other people discovering them too!!
You should do a reaction video of their Brit awards appearance back in 1997 and a reaction video for the Istanbul concert; I think you will love it!
This was their Follow Up to "Wannabe". At one point they were the Biggest Girlband in The World. They were the second Group after Banarama to make it on US Soil. They came together when an Ad was placed in a UK Newspaper. They also helped usher in "Reality TV". In 1998 Five Little Girls in New Zealand were watching them, and said "Wouldn't It Be Cool If There Was A Group From Our Country, Popular but not LIke" The Spice Girls. The Father of One Of The Girls thought what a cool idea and Popstars was born. It was the First Reality Show of a Musical Genre with 40 Versions all over the world. There was Truebliss (New Zealand), Bardot & Scandalous (Australia) Hear'Say (England), Girls Aloud (England), Sugar Jones (Canada). Geri would later be a Judge on Popstars The Rivals in The UK and one of The Members of Girls Aloud Cheryl Ann Tweedy is one of the UK's Biggest Pop Stars. Besides being in the most successful Group in the History Of Reality TV she's also had Three Number One Albums & Five Number One Solo Hits.
Whenever they came on the radio, I’d dance and sing my heart out❣️ Love these Ladies ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Viva Forever will always be my Spice Girl Song.
The afro look is the best look on you. I hope you keep it. I love your commentary on these songs.
This is one of my favorite songs of all time. Periodt
Love all the PINK Ms. India💗 Soft and Sweet 💗 AWESOME REACTION as ALWAYS 💗💗💗
Yes more spice girls please! Its my childhood music. You should check " viva forever" " goodbye" " spice up your life" " holler" " let love lead the way" " 2 become 1" 🙂
Love your hair!!!
2:02 Killin’ it with those reactions! Great content, keep it up 👍🏻 Thanks!
Love, love your hairstyle India!
Love your hair!
I'm so excited you are now exploring the amazingness that are The Spice Girls!
My sister and I were obsessed with Spice Girls when we were tiny little tots. We would always play make believe and I was Mel B & Emma and she was Mel C & Geri, then we took turns being Victoria (we both liked all 5 of them, but we both also liked Victoria the least - so sorry, Posh!). Now that I'm older I think both Mels were the best!
Anyway, I honestly still listen to their songs every now and then. They were such a big part of my childhood and really, they're legends. I hope you'll react to more of their songs and videos. :)
this was and still is to this very day my fave spice girls song!!! yassssssssss, my queens
Looking beautiful as always
Mel B was the first black woman I saw on tv who rocked her natural hair proudly. It beautiful to see you have the same hair style reacting to them 25 years later.
I was (and still am) into guitar music in the 90s, but I enjoyed hearing the Spice Girls when they came on the radio or on TV. Scary was my favourite at first, then Posh, but I finally settled on Sporty as my favourite-I love her vocals and Scouse accent!
Yeeeessss, Spice Girls! Gotta have a little Two become One every so often. Some really interesting personalities and talents amongst these Women. Mel C. has done some very good solo work too. Mel B. has been on TV alot as well....the resonance in her voice and that British accent as well, are quite lovely indeed. 🙂
