Are the plugs for the headlight, display and throttle external? Or does the cable go directly into the bike frame? It looked like from the video that the plugs were external, hard to tell.
I want to install a safety system that consists of two cameras mounted on the front and rear of the bike. I think I can pull power from the display cable. I am curious if it’s a Julet 5-pin cable that is running to the handlebar mounted lcd/led display.
Thanks for the how to video, super informative!

Hi there, the cables do end up running through the frame. There are several connections directly below the handlebars / above the forks then they run right into the frame. It does look like a Julet cable, I was unable to separate the plugged connection to look and see how many pins there were for you, It’s a very tight connection, I would hate to break it. You may want to check with heybike for that information. I think a camera system would be very cool, like a car back up cam. Hopefully it wouldn’t drain the battery on you. I’d love to hear how it turns out for you. Best of luck to you, thanks for watching

I just got this bike. Looks great! Did you have any issues with the power? I noticed that while the Pedal Assist kinda of jumps abruptly instead of a smooth transition, while the Throttle was struggling to reach power and was slow to get up to speed, did you experience anything like that? Also the throttle won't engage unless the PAS is on 1-2 or 3. also, The manual says you turn the bike on by powering the middle button and the LCD screen comes on, but they didn't mention what the power button above the battery is for? I turn it on, the light comes on then goes away! hard to tell what it does.

Hi there, I haven’t had any power issues yet, in fact once I got past the initial problems I mentioned in the video with the forks and brake alignment the bike has been pretty solid and reliable. The bike takes a little getting used to once the throttle engages because you pedal three times and then it just kicks in and zooms you up to about 11 mph. I believe it needs to be set at 1, 2 or 3 for the throttle to engage. I agree with your experience with the battery button, I have questioned the battery power button as well because the bike functions without having to press it. The bike gets up to speed pretty quickly as long as I’m pedaling along with it, maybe 5 seconds. In pas 1 it tops out at 11 mph and in 2 it gets to 16 mph and 3 puts me at 23 mph but that’s a little fast for me, does that match your speeds? How long does yours take to get up to speed? Hope that helps

Our front fork came bent too. How did you fix the issue?

Sorry to hear that, maybe it’s a manufacturing error because it doesn’t seem like something that happened in shipping, my box had no damage. Fortunately I was able to bend it enough with arm force, I pushed with one arm and pulled with the other, but you may be able to put one side in a vice if needed and put a large metal tube over the other side and bend it. Hope that helps

If you stop pedaling, can you use the throttle without switching modes?
