Thank you for posting this. I have my first appointment tomorrow and I am feeling more at ease. Still nervous but less now that you explained the process so well. Very much appreciate the walk through for the first appointment!
Just had my first appointment yesterday. The initial appointment was 90 minutes. The first 30-45 minutes was spent answering questions about what I’m experiencing. Then a thorough explanation of the pelvic floor anatomy. That time calms your fears. I left feeling empowered, informed and unashamed. Any women experiencing issues with urine, bowel control or pain should definitely try this therapy. It can help with so many other issues we may not think is caused by pelvic floor issues. Whenever someone says, stop making me laugh before I wet myself should definitely complete this therapy. So many of us women just accept things like this is just the way it will be. Please locate or inquire about pelvic floor physical therapy.
I was super nervous going in the front door of the office, I nearly couldn’t do it. 5 minutes into chatting with my wonderful therapist and I was completely calmed and relaxed, you folks are awesome at what you do.
I went to a Pelvic floor PT and she didn't find any of my pressure points for my entire 6 weeks of therapy. I was devastated, all I wanted was to find relief from my testicle pain, butt pain, leg pain, and urinating too much. She gave me some good exercises and it took some of my leg, hip and butt pain away. But not the testicle pain or the urinating problems. She recommend me the Pelvic Wand and (I bought it). She told me to never use the wand from 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock or from 8 o'clock to 4 o'clock. I recently saw another Pelvic floor PT's video and she said that male trigger points are usually from 1 to 2 o'clock.... basically the areas my PT told me to stay away from. I decided to use the wand and a found the pain that I've been looking for over a year now. It was between 1 and 2 o'clock, I didn't press on it because I was afraid and the pain was bad.... I stayed on that pressure point for about a minute and moved to look for more trigger points. I found another painful point at my 5 o'clock ( very painful). I didn't press on them because I was afraid yesterday. Today I am super sore from inside. Is it normal to be sore? And should I use the wand everyday or should I wait a few days? I'm still doing my stretching everyday , its been about 3 months now. I hope that my internal massage will fix me. My urologist said I have non bacterial prostatitis.
I needed to look this one up to see what was involved because I felt off with one of my appointments. I’ve seen 3 pelvic Floor PT’s and all 3 did completely different appointments. I know what to expect now for sure because only 2 actually did something kind of similar to what you’ve explained. The other one didn’t even come close Now I for sure know that my therapist molested me. This helped me. Thank you
That is terrible- I am so sorry that happened to you. If you have a record of the therapist's name and when you saw them, definitely give their licensing board a call and discuss what happened. If it's not too late to file a police report, you have the right to do that too.
Hi, I thought you should be informed that I tried listening to your video but the volume was way too low to hear it. I hope you can fix it so I can watch & listen to your valuable advice. Thank you & I hope this finds you all well. (John 3:16, a spiritual, physical, eternal life saving verse. 🙏📖⛪)
i have never encountered a single medical office where any of that extensive paperwork is read. i suspect it is done just to placate the lawyers as medical offices today are far more oriented towards law and even law enforcement than they are towards anything medical
In part, that’s true, the CYA factor. A good physical therapist will review what you put down & will ask questions, referring to your answers, to guide your course of care. Most of my doctors reflect what I’ve written when we meet. Even little things like that I take a vitamin regularly.
I just had a first appointment two days ago at a physical therapist office. It was rushed..3-345. I told my story but at this point she had another appointment and that was it. I have another appointment but still don't know what it entails. Is a pet even qualified to do this?
I tried to watch this video but i must just share 3 things. 1. Right out of the open of the Video I cant hear you hardly at all please reshoot and improve your audio. 2. The Exam segment it was shaking and recorded very poorly. No shade or negativity just being honest. and 3. Your lighting is very poor. So the golden rules of filming so ppl will watch and get value you out of what your selling. Lights, Camera, Audio. I think i got the gist from what i was able to kind of hear lol
Most medical people are so busy! If they have a moment between patients, they make an info video. No time for ring light, extensive make-up & arranging that background “just right”. They are the original influencers!!

Same here, Doug. My appointment is coming up.. I dunno?? It's not easy talking to a woman about men concerns..
@@donpitts2388 It will be easier than you probably think it will be. Just remember they talk about and see this stuff all day every day.
Very helpful. I have an up coming appointment and I had no clue.. Appreciate this information very much.
