This is the nicest boat that you have reviewed (for the price). And I love that the teak decks are NOT SCREWED down. Assuming that there was no core penetration issues from the original decks. I have owned and extensively cruised 2 different center cockpit boats. Loved them both. This, to me, is the preferred lay out for boats mid forty and up. And also loved the fwd cabin/head arrangement. And I think that’s a fair price. Were I in the market, I would snatch this up! The only thing that I wish designers would learn is that you can make water but you can’t make fuel!! The tankage should be reversed. It is 270 water and 150 fuel. That should be reversed. I actually did that on one boat by converting a water tank to fuel. My KP 44 had 150 of water and that was plenty. I did eventually add a water maker (Spectra, loved it). My Cal 2-46 had 270 of fuel and 200 water. That’s the way it should be for a real long range cruiser. Hate darn jugs on deck.
That is a beautiful boat and it has one of the best layouts I've ever seen for that size boat with the large aft masters suite and a real size pullman bed forward instead of a triangular shaped v-berth, along with separate showers in both heads.
I've seen a bunch of boats from you guys and this is one of my absolute favorites ! I love the fittings, layout and storage. I don't know the first thing about sailing being from Colorado. But looking at so many and all the boats you have shared with us, I have to say that I'm getting the bug for sailing ! Thanks much !
If I only had a million bucks, OK I settle for half a mill ..... LOL !! Favorite parts, the fridge, nav station, fwd head ..... and the amount of storage Always did like Tayana's, this one is in LIKE NEW condition ... nice find Jordan
You have a good attitude when it comes to the projects. I laughed out loud when the water started spraying out of the hose. Project done though so it's on to the next one. Enjoyed the video.
Agree with you on this one. Nice layout and well cared for. Older Blue water boat like this one are usually a handful to maintain (lost of complex systems). Most systems are at the end of their life and will need to be upgrade or replace. At that price, you have some room to upgrade. Center cockpit are good when you sail but a bit cramp at anchor. Thank for showing this one. I plan to buy next year and this type of boat are now on my list.
I have noticed in your tours that you don't comment on headroom . I am on the tall side and a lot of boats are just to low. Enjoy the tours, you showcase buetiful boats. Thank you.
Looks like a great boat! Thanks for a most useful video. I would just like to suggest that perhaps you could show us a bit more detail about the headlining of your boats because it can be of importance sometimes? Thank you again for your efforts in making the videos.
Just a suggestion, when doing a tour one of the most critical things is to see the engine room. It is a main system of the vessel and generally showcases much of the onboard systems and their condition.
Very nice boat. I had similar design boat and loved it ( KP 46) this is even nicer. Do like the forward Pullman/head. And thanks for noting that the teak decks (that can be a huge negative) are NOT screwed down but glued. Makes a huge difference. I would rather have no teak decks. Weight and maintenance the reason. But they indeed look beautiful. In most boats over about 42 feet I really prefer center cockpit.
I love Tayana. This is a beautiful one. Though I think I am going to wait in hope (and more likely) that the boat and RV buying frenzy started by COVID will cool off and it’ll be possible to find more available boats and at a realistic price, as it had been for years before. Truly looking forward to it !
Nice boat. still available? Love the rear cabin layout. Used to have a Morgan Out Island 44. Center Cockpit. Great boat. Hmmmm Maybe I am interested...
Ok I love Irwins and Morgan's, but I now have to add this one to my list. I've never seen a forward head like that. She's gorgeous! Honestly how many grandkids do you think I could sleep on here? I have 6 grandkids and 4 miniature Dachshunds! Talk to me goose! Hahaha
This boat checks almost all the boxes. I would like to know what type of keel and rudder arrangement all the boats have. Love the idea of a forward head ...it just makes sense space wise. V berth tends to be a pain.
You like the center cockpit for the same reason that I do. The only thing that I did not care for was having the generator under a berth. Can you imagine trying to sleep while it is running?? I do have a fondness for that style of boat. I do have a question about the common area of all boats. What is the difference between a salon and a saloon?? I have always thought of a salon is a place for the ladies to get their hair worked on. And a saloon is a place for gathering and drinking. Btw congratulations on your new baby girl. 👶
Curious how well the generator works under the berth? Smells, heat, noise? It does not look sealed, although I’m not familiar with the generator covers.
Hi! We love this boat but we have 2 kids. The Pullman berth would have to be modified. I love how you mentioned that at the end because my husband and I talked about ideas for that most of the video. How would you do it? Bunk above it? Is that possible?
Sorry I m french, i think to listen there is 4 cabines ? i see one back and one in front ? please to confirm to me the nimber of cabine And more, wha's boat type ? and braind ? Boat seem old, but beautiful and confortable. The owner take care this boat a lot I like the big frigo and confortable wasing cabine for Owner
Spectacularly maintained boat! Though I love the boat, that engine access is a real let down. It is one of those things that isn't important until it is, then it is vitally important. I cannot imagine having to crawl around on the floor to do basic maintenance or emergency repairs. Bob designed a lot of greats boats, this one has very few shortcomings, but the one it has is severe.
I guess you haven't been aboard. I was last summer. There was black mold in some of the lockers, the varnish was shot, things were broken and not repaired. the ask was a firm $160k; she sold but for much less. everything about the boat was cheap. the hinges on the lockers, to the framing of the locker doors. who every bought her bought a 50k minimum project.
@@robertgranafei2781 There are no almost 30 year old boats that are not a project, an expensive project. The things you described are the cheap repairs. You sound a little butthurt, did something not go the way you wanted it to?
when do you guys think you will be getting into your next boat I know you hinted and I have a pretty good idea what it is, just asking as I am also interested in that boat, and info more info would be great
@Learning the lines (Jordan & Randy), nice boats you guys find and i been following you guys long time and IF you ever find Suitable price STEEL hull ketch from 70 to 100ft and must have full size master cabin in the aft and pilot house as this will be making big news when we get media contract. thanx guys and same for all of you followers,, let us know as who ever find it what we looking will be rewarded.....and this is NOT urgent call, just now looking and looking and if you like to follow us, you know where to find us
@@richhamel6810 While I don't know if I would go so far as to say that they are "hiding" something, an engine with 5400 hrs. is cause for notice. This channel has never been too in depth on their tours so him just peaking in the engine room doesn't surprise me. Plus, I don't think Jordan has a dog in this hunt so I can't picture him hiding something for the seller. Plus, the broker's site was forthcoming about other issues and the boat doesn't show as a "deferred maintenance" type of owner. Seems like a survey would point out any major issues so, as the saying goes, "trust, but verify". lol.
That is for the kit, which looks really nice. Check out MJ Sailing to watch one being built. They go through the decision process to purchase and, through the logistics of delivery. Great series so far. ua-cam.com/video/rVdn7v-GZgQ/v-deo.html
The layout is absolutely perfect in my opinion. Really comfortable live aboard.
Amazing layout... I think I'm in love with her... I'll be dreaming of her for a long time...
Thanks for posting.
This is the best layout of a boat I've seen!
Love it, basically perfect. Does need that forward cam in the nav station.
Absolutely beautiful boat. This is what I envision my wife and I set out on one day. Thank you, guys.

Yes, thanks. Must have gone on to the next video. I watch your channel as well.
Thank you for what you do you do a great job looking forward Of many episodes to come
LUVly boat - checks so many boxes.
I really enjoy your channel. Believe it or not you are teaching me what to look for in boats. Thank you and keep it up.
Love this layout. Great video. Water maker and laundry?
Beautiful boat.
That style of interior always reminds me of that old move the African Queen. Stunning boat for the price.
Beauty boat. Love those Tayana boats.
I'm pretty sure that that rail bracket at the aft starboard was not for fenders but for jerry cans.
This is my favorite boat!!!

I like the design of this boat very much👍

That boat is so bad ass
Add a washer/dryer combo & your all set. The Hylas 46 center with the pullman set-up is my favorite!
Beautiful lines, Jordan. Appreciate your time on this one.
