    I just wanted to say what an absolute lifesaver of a video this is. I have a terrible terrible cowlick at the front of my hair combined with frizzy hair which makes 3/4 of my hair look good and the remaining frizzy spiral look absolutely horrible. Even though it's not a permanent fix, this tutorial is amazing

      @@raeesahmed7283there is not permanent solution although i did find a way to maintain it so try putting ur hair the hair part you struggle with you can put a bunch of gel there and once u do that wear a cap so it can push that hair down but make sure it’s on the certain part start doing that for a week or until it’s stays somewhat and then just keep maintaining it with a bunch of gel on that part

    I'm happy to find this video on how to fix a cowlick at the front. I've asked many hairstylists how to deal with a cowlick at my hairline and at my right side! I have bangs and whenever I dry them, I try to fool the cowlick and confuse it. No matter what I do to it, nothing works. Sometimes my bangs are allover the place!! I put hair product in my hair like gel and hair mousse before I dry my hair. Whenever it's dry I wetting it down sometimes works. In the end I pull back my bangs with a barrette so I don't have to deal with it. Ugh! Right now I'm trying to grow them out. Also I have straight hair and lots of hair for a female. Right now I have my hair at a shoulder length bob with bangs that I tend to pull back. Volume or body of my hair is not a problem but my front cowlick is a problem because of my bangs.

    RULE OF THUMB
    Always part out of the front side/corner of the cowlick. It slightly sits naturally back anyways in the corner and looks more natural. Otherwise, if you part out of the opposite side it looks like it sits back too far on the cowlick sits and doesn't look natural. On your front hairline always follow the way your hair already is going, especially if it's shorter. It's a war that very difficult to win. Haha

  • @Zetsuke4
    @Zetsuke4 5 років тому +9

    I just use an eyebrow razor to just swipe off my hairline in the top front, one two three four quick swoosh and it's a straight hairline without the triangle. I do this every few days, quick and easy maintanence for me I just do it precisely so it doesnt go too far up

    For a woman with straight hair (who wants the hair to go down, not up like that) I’m not sure how I can keep applying heat without causing some damage to my hair (specially baby hairs), all I need is for the very front layers it to go slightly to the center of my face.. so it sits like curtains. I use a tiny flat iron. I had bangs for most of my life but now I have a middle part.
    I’m considering doing some sort of overnight clipped thing.. I’m really frustrated.. :(

      Depends on what way your cowlick is but I basically have one on both sides of my part (which is off center). The 90's curtains look pretty ok with them, not exactly as it's "supposed to" but it's the best I've found.
      Trying to force my hair in any other direction than the cowlicks go has only made my hair look worse.

    Hi TheSalonGuy. I have a question.
    Half of my hair (literally if you part it down the middle), the right side is straight but the left side waves/curls at the end and I wanted to know if theres any way to fix that if I dont have a flat iron? My hair, when pulled down, goes over my eyes, and I have an undercut kinda hair/asian two block haircut. The sides are shaved but the top is long all around and left to be hanging. The hair that falls on the sides touch my ears. How can I make everything straight? I cried once because I was having so much trouble trying to fix it.

    I’ve always had a problem with the side that doesn’t have a cowlick. I like the arch because when my put my hand all the way through my hair, the cow licked side doesn’t go over my face, so I wanna know how to create the arch for the other side

    Sir i have a question, i wanna get a natural middlepart, but i also want it to be.. you know, I don't want it messy because i always go out and whenever strong winds hits my hair, my hairstyle gets messy. So, how do i get that natural middlepart but at the same time, can be fixed by just using my hand, you know? Hehe

    I have distinctive cowlicks on BOTH sides of my part (off center part, you can still see both). I have tried a multitude of techniques but the general consensus is: me + bangs = never gonna happen lol. And I tried SO HARD for a couple years!!!

    • @bratatouille
      @bratatouille Рік тому

      I have that too! Off center part and neither side will budge.
      I insisted on getting bangs as a kid so my parents took me to a hair dresser and my hair just ended up sticking right up in the front 💀
      I also really wanted a side part when they were popular, all I managed to do was move my part like a centimeter to the right. It took way more blow drying and hairspray than it was worth, and it still looked off.
      The past couple years I've gotten compliments on it though, with the 90's curtains kind of haircuts being popular and all that. I've even had people ask me how I got it to stay in a middle part (even though it's off center?), since apparently many people have the opposite problem.
      I think the 90's curtains look weird with it too though, I don't get the front pieces of hair framing my face, they just grow straight up and then to the sides. My silhouette looks like fricking McDonald's goldem arches. 🥲

    also if your hair is long enough, just get some product and embrace the slicked back look. i think around 2015 everyone was shaving the sides and growing the top out and slicking it back
