Poison - 'Nothin' But A Good Time'
You'll remember this song! And 'Unskinny Bop' was fun too!
I love un skinny Bop👍
Next Poison: “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”
Yes! Something to believe in and Every rose has its thorn!!
Poison was my favorite band for awhile in my teens. Oddly enough, their real standout songs are mostly ballads. Every Rose Has It's Thorn was the biggest. Something to Believe In was great, too. I won't Forget You was from their first album and is simple, but still pretty good. Of their rockers, the one I'd suggest you check out is Fallen Angel.
He had a show "rock of love" trying to find a girlfriend kinda show...amber you need some hot tea and honey if you can have 🍯. But definitely some good herbal tea. Chicken soup. Sorry it's the mom and grandma in me.
The big rock ballad by them is "Every Rose Has It's Thorn". You have got to listen to it. I think both of you will like it better than this one.
Agreed many good ballads came from the hair & heavy rock bands.
I’d go more obscure and say Life Goes on and Something to believe in.
Bret Michaels sings, and you should really hear another side of Poison. Every Rose Has a Thorn !! You won't be disappointed.
No way! Give me something to believe in.
Both are great songs ! No argument here ! ☺️
Every rose has its thorn" 1st. Then "Fallen Angel" 2nd. Then "Love on the rocks". "Nothin but a good time". "Look but u cant touch". The whole album 'open up and say. aahh'. These r all bangers!!!!
Please listen to Something to Believe In
It's not as big as Every Ride Has its Thorn but it's full on angst.
AGREED ! 100% !!!
The older I get the better that song gets.
Jay and Amber. Check out "Every Rose has it's thorn". Then FRANKENSTEIN by Edgar Winter group (Midnight special) it has keyboards, great guitars, dual drumming and saxophone. Then check out HOCUS POCUS by Focus. Wildest video you will ever see (Shredding guitars, awesome drumming, flute and yodeling all in one song).
You took the words out of my mouth lol.
Definitely need to check out Every rose has a thorn.
Rammstein. DU hast. PARIS. LIVE!
I admire your persistence in requesting Frankenstein by the Edgar Winter group, BTW, I agree.
@@alicesmith7020 I watch it 2 or 3 times a week. I'm always entertained every time.
Poison is one of my favorite bands!
"Every Rose Has Its Thorn", "Your Mama Don't Dance", "Unskinny Bop", "Poor Boy Blues"...all good songs!
Bret Michaels, Lead Singer, is a documented Type 1 Diabetic since age 3. He had to struggle with Diabetes his entire life and it was harder while touring.
As a type 1 later in life. I can just imagine. I was starting to get control of mine when I was hit by a car and now I am a brittle diabetic.
Bret Michaels is the lead singer, On guitar CC DeVille, on bass Bobby Dall, and on drums Rikki Rockett. I love this band. Bret is my only other blonde rocker I had a major crush on. lol
Me too! I liked all the dark haired ones mostly
@@butterflymama0838 Bobby Dall is gorgeous.
I just 💘💘💘 Ricki's hands when he is in the groove. They just fly!
'Something To Believe In' is a great message song.
Love that song. They should definitely take a listen.
Every rose has its thorn is a great song by them
I love Every Rose has it’s Thorn
Something to believe in
Overplayed
@@djcease1996 not at all
This is one of my all time favorite songs!!!
I won't forget you baby and look what the cat dragged in were really great songs from their first album
"Something to believe in." One of the best crafted rock ballads ever. You'll never think of them the same way again. These guys weren't just rockers they had some soulful blues going on.
You need to check out Damn yankees - come again.
It has both rock'n and slow parts the guitar solo is one of the best .
Listen to “wasted time” by skid row it’s a very deep meaning and Sebastians vocals are amazing in this song
A must !!!
Such a great song. Was actually written about the Guns N Roses drummer when he was fired for an uncontrollable drug addiction.
Loved poison since I was a kid. No one seems to mention " life loves a tragedy". An absolute banger
For Female Friday: Carole King is a must!! Her album Tapestry was in the top charts for over 6 years!!! Try “It’s Too Late” or “I Feel The Earth Move”. Carole co-wrote over 130 top 40 hits in the 60s with her ex husband Gerry Goffin. Her song “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman” is considered one of Aretha Franklin’s greatest hits, and “You’ve Got A Friend” is one of James Taylor’s biggest hits. Both are on Tapestry.
I agree 100%
Isn't Carole King THE Carol from the song Oh! Carol by Neil Sedaka? And the Carole who sung Oh! Neil?
She is a marvellous singer! I like her You've Got a Friend version over James Taylor’s.
@@helindove2237 , you are dead on!
James Taylor would be good to react to!
How this Poison song made it over all their others I'll never know... Somebody must have slipped them a $100 bill in the mail.
Ya I didn't quiet remember this song from the title till they started playing lol !
Definitely not this song but Every Rose has it's Thorn absolutely
This one is just meh IMHO.
Other better picks out there
Yes. I am so confused by this choice. Lol
I thought the same thing. Who suggested the Poison song that I wouldn’t even rank in their top 10?
Suggestions:
Christopher Cross - ‘Sailing,’
Kayne Brown - ‘Worship You,’
Kool and The Gang - ‘Celebration,’
Luther Vandross - ‘Dance With My Father,’
and last but not least ...
Roberta Flack - ‘First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.’
How about some of THE GAP BAND, "YOU DROPPED THE BOMB ON ME" ?? Yeah, baby !!
Fun is Poison’s thing. You recognized it.
Every Rose Has It’s Thorn is one of the quintessential 80’s rock ballads of all time. An amazing song….I think you’ll both love it.
Also Unskinny Bop, I Won’t Forget You, Fallen Angel, Nothing But A Good Time, Look What The Cat Dragged In, Cry Tough, I Want Action. A cool band with a lot of good tunes!
Absolutely love you guys! Keep up the great videos.
One of my favorite Poison songs! LOVE this one
I saw them in concert in 1991... sooo good live
Please listen to Every Rose has its thorn best Poison song ever
Love this song ❤️
Yes! That is my favorite of theirs. I know Amber will love it.
@@eclipsegurl2002 I agree
The perfect Poison tune for Amber.
You will be so surprised hearing Bret Michael in the song Every Rose Has It's Thorn. He did such an amazing job with that particular song. Also the song Something to Believe in.
Luv you Guys!!! Keep it Up!!!
Nice pick of song! Haven't heard this song in a long time, thanks!
Poison, and especially this song, was my favorite band when I was a senior in high school (1990/1991). I'd lay on my bed and listen to this repeatedly. It somehow gave me a lot of hope during a depressing part of my youth.
This is my all-time favorite Poison song. Thanks for reacting to it. :)
You two are great contributors to music, past & present. Thanks for sharing your opinions.
Thank you for reacting to poison again it made my day!!!
Thank you for being here with us every day. We really love you guys!!!!
My favorite musical genre! Please react to Firehouse - Don't Treat Me Bad!
This song gives me goosebumps every time I hear it, such a great song and one of my favorite Poison songs.
If you knew me back in the sixth grade this is one album I'd be blasting my eardrums with in my Walkman headphones.
Thanks for the reaction!
Their hit song “Life Goes On"
has an incredible guitar solo by C.C. DeVille
They are amazing in concert!
100% agree with Every Rose Has it’s Thorn!
More Poison!!@ Nice reaction guys
Every Rose has its thorn and something to believe in are two real hits!
Great reaction!
You two are such a great couple and I love watching y'all react and describe and disagree and agree and just obviously love each other.
I love this song....I always thought of it as an Ode to the Motorcycle. It's the lyrics...I could be wrong but that's what comes to mind for me. Brett Michaels always has his Taxi themed motorcycle in videos and I've seen it again in his reality shows and some old interviews.
It's the first time to see a reaction for this great song. Very good. Talk dirty to me was from 1986, it was the start of the success for this band, Ride the wind was fron 1991 when Poison was a Big succesful band.
I agree check out "every rose has it's thorn" and also "fallen angel" and "nothin but a good time"
Brett Michaels is such a great guy. He won a humanitarian award for doing free concerts at Armed Forces bases before COVID. He also brought goods to hurricane victims in Puerto. He has had diabetes since he was a child and has a childhoood diabetes charity. I have seen them in concert and it is in your face energy from start to finish. They have so many great songs. A few I haven't seen listed yet are How Life Loves A Tragedy, Fallen Angel and Love On The Rocks
Some of this video was filmed in Louisville Ky, and I was there!! Great show❤️
this filmed in louisville ky !!! so cool i remember this very well so wild that night.. thank you guys..
One of my favourite bands of all time no question!
Ride the wind and Fallen Angel are two of the best of theirs. I have seen them in concert 3 times and its amazing.
I saw them in concert in Greenville SC in 1984. They opened for Ratt. That was a great show
"I FREAKING LOOOOVE THIS SONG!!!!
& some other "POISON" SONGS,F A M !
I just saw Brett yesterday here in his hometown pa....he was absolutely amazing...60 years and still rockin it!!!
THe best decade in music and the best times of my life hearing these takes me back what you were doing who you were hanging with now 55 wow
one of the best song so far!, that CC. Solo and Bridge is really amazing How much I like to play that bridge!
That was awesome
Yes. Awesome solo.
Holy smokes that was such an amazing reaction video I was blown away! ... and then I heard your reference to Tom Sawyer by Rush and that instantly made me click the subscribe button!! Great job guys and keep puttin out this amazing content!
You MUST hear "Every Rose Has It's Thorn", it is a classic Ballad from the 80's
I didn’t get in to the Hair Metal Bands- was just in to different stuff at the time -so I’m enjoying hearing these with you
Something to Believe In And Yes Every Rose Has A Thorn must listen too songs. Good vibes 😎
This cracks me up. I’m 54, happily married father of two and all is great. Somewhere in my parents basement in a box is a drum stick that says Rikki Rocket Poison on it - which I caught near the stage at this show in about 1983ish. These guys opened for Ratt. Those were the days :).
"Something to Believe In" and "Unskinny Bop" are Awesome!!
Every rose has its thorn is their best. And Something to believe in.
One of my all time favorite hair bands! Poison has SO many good songs, and their lead singer Bret Michaels is such a fun dude. I could listen to them all day long, and I have lol
One of my fave 🎵🎶🎵
LET THERE BE ROCK, LIVE AT THE RIVER PLATE!!
Every rise has a thorn and something to believe in ate their two big ballads. This band and it's fun side came out in hits like nothing but a good time, unskinny bop, talk dirty to me, look what the cat dragged in, ride like the wind, fallen angel and rocking horse and others.
I loved this band!! I had a framed picture of Brett Michaels the lead singer on my night table
Poison has so many good fun songs!!
Poison was my first hair band love, my first concert. They have so many great and fun songs! Please do “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn” and “Something To Believe In”. Those are two emotional songs. And for fun, “Nothin’ But a Good Time” and “Unskinny Bop” are two of my favorites!
Every Rose Has Its Thorn , I Won't Forget You, Life Goes On, and Somethung to Believe In are great ballads from Poison
Love poison ,always have...always will. Wish they would make a new album.
Amber you would definitely love every rose has it's thorn. From poison. It's more up your alley
Every rose has it thorn is epic. Fallen angel is a perfect poison song.
I used to be a cycle/spin instructor and created a routine to this song. It was one of my most popular routines, the crowd LOVED this song. One youngster (25 years old, lol) came up to me after class so excited to have heard this song and gushed about how she liked it so much she put it on her own playlist . I'm sure that started her down a similar rabbit hole like you guys are in 😁. I did a lot of classic and hard rock in that class.
Poison is: Bret Michaels-Vocals/Rhythm Guitar; C.C. DeVille-Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals; Bobby Dall-Bass/Backing Vocals; Ricky Rocket-Drums. I saw them in the beginning on Mtv and on their first tour opening for Cinderella in Augusta, GA!
Their debut album “Look What the Cat Dragged In” is awesome (still!), especially the Title Track and “Cry Tough”, “I Won’t Forget You” and “Let Me Go To the Show”…I also highly recommend “Something To Believe In” and “Look But You Can’t Touch”! #PoisonRocks
@6:40, They were very cool and down to Earth guys!! My friend used to know them and hang out with them and whoever else was playing with them, she went to all of their concerts and everything!! 🤙🎸🎶🌹💯🙏😇💋
Brett Michaels (lead singer) was the center of the MTV show, "Rock of Love."
The band consists of Bret Michael's, lead singer & guitar. C C Deville, lead guitar, Bobby Dahl & Ricki Rocket, drums. I started listening to them in high school & still love 'em. I've seen them twice. They have some really good music.
I love you guys.
For the longest time these guys were my all time band.1986 was my favorite year (released debut album look what the cat dragged in)..also 2 posion tatts
their best know song is "Every Rose has its Thorn"... It was one of the top power ballads for the decade.
Lead singer Brett Michaels had a reality show on MTV for a while where he was trying to find love. The show was called the "Rock of Love". You have got to react to "Every Rose Has It's Thorns". It is probably their biggest hit, and is definitely a rock anthem. It is a slower ballad but it is great!
OMG ❤ MORE POISON PLEASE
The lead singer - Brett Michaels is a very bad type 1 diabetic since he was 6. He checks his blood sugar 8 times and day and is on insulin injections 5 times a day. He suffered a brain hemorrhage in 2010, had a hole in his heart repaired in 2011 and underwent kidney surgery in 2014. He is a road warrior who places about 100 shows a year either with Poison or the Brett Michaels Band. He manages his diabetes with diet and exercise. He rides his exercise bike in his RV when they are touring. He has it bolted to the floor, gets strapped in and watches a movie and rides his bike for 2 hours while someone is driving.
Poison is a great band with a very great singer
Poison started out as a glam band & when they first started the band's name was Paris. Check out their earlier songs
They still on tour ! 2023 seen them in KC 😎
Ride The Wind is about freedom of the soul
MY FAVORITE POISON HIT OF ALL TIME.
1 OF D BEST MOMENTS FOR '80s HAIR METAL. \m/ \m/
Poison is a fun rock band to ride to! People gave them crap for being 'pretty boys' who were 'image over music'... but they missed the whole point! It was about good time rock n roll 🤘🔥
They had a great run in the 80's and early 90's... even today, Poison is getting recignition for their songs...and their ability to entertain live.
Poison is Bret Michaels (vocals), C.C. DeVille (guitar), Bobby Dall (bass) & Rikki Rocket (drums)
Their ballads are: 'Every rose has its thorn'... 'Something to believe in' ... "I won't forget you" ... 'Stand' (w/ Ritchie Kotzen on guitar)
Other Poison rockers - 'Nothing but a good time' ... 'Unskinny bop' ... "Your mama don't dance" (Loggins & Messina cover) ... "(Flesh & blood) Sacrifice"... 🔥🔥🔥🤘
One of my favorites from Poison as well as Fallen Angel and Cry Tough
Every Rose Has It’s Thorn hit soooo hard in high school. Zomg
This is a great song!
Thank you so much for doing this song. It's a little later in their career and one of their lesser-known hits, but it's always been a favorite of mine. Another song from that era that gives me the same vibe is "After the Rain" by Nelson.
Lead is Brett Michaels. Saw them in concert with Lita Ford and Def Leppard at The Rock of Ages tour in Denver.
Poison "Something to Believe in" is a must also
Every rose has its thorn
Man poison “nothing but a good time” ultimate good time party starter
Back in high school it was all about guns and roses, Def Leppard and poison! Loved them all!
Something to Believe in is so touching, Unskinny Bop will get you dancing, and every Rose has its Thorn will make you cry
