That's what I was going to suggest. I also suggest Bon Jovi; Bed of Roses and I'll be there for you. Also suggest Creed With Arms Wide Open and Steelheart I'll never let you go.
Lead guitarist is C.C. Deville, Bret Michaels is the lead singer, Rikki Rocket is the drummer and Bobby Dall is the bassist. This was a great reaction to a really fun song. Thanks 🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸🎸🔥🔥🎸🎸
Poison was one of those "guilty pleasures" for most of us that grew up in the Metal Community in the 80s and 90s. not really metal but fun to listen to.
They were never a guilty pleasure for me, I was always proud of growing up on hair bands. A lot of their lyrics are superficial but that doesn’t mean they aren’t talented musicians, just listen to CeCe, or tommy lee. Obviously they are a different sound from heavy metal but that doesn’t make them any less talented. At least that’s my opinion 😂
Amber - Every Rose has It's Thorn will SELL you on Brett Michaels - and Poison. Very awesome ballad. Your Mama Don't Dance is also a MUST. And can you guys pretty PLEASE do Legs by ZZ Top - and We're Not Gonna Take it by Twisted Sister? Both official videos have to be watched to get the full story. And both are hilariously entertaining. Thank you :)
Damn!!! Those were the days!!! Brett Michaels was so HOT! He had that sexual thang going ON! YESSS ZZ TOP "Legs" Every rose has its thorn was a damn good one!!! What I liked most about Poison was they were "NASTY" and for us young girls in the 80's that was what we wanted hahahaha 54 Remember his dating show "Rock Of Love" LOL that was crazy
"Every Rose Has It's Thorn" pretty much legitimized them as more than just a fluff metal glam band. Their other song "Something to Believe In" was a great commentary on societal ills.
Lead Singer’s name, Bret Michaels 💜 love this song and love this group. Gotta react to Fallen Angel, Something to Believe In, Look But You Can’t Touch, and if you haven’t reacted to Talk Dirty to Me, that’s a good one too. 💕 I’m gonna see them next year. I can’t wait! 🤘🏽
For this performance I believe the band members are: Bret Michaels--Lead Vocals, rhythm guitar C.C. DeVille--Lead guitar, backing vocals Bobby Dall--Bass, piano, backing vocals Rikki Rockett--Drums, backing vocals
Total 90’s girl here! Poison was my favorite metal band, my first concert, my first rocker crushes! I had the big hair and everything. I’m so glad you reacted to this song. No one ever does! Poison is just a good time! 💜💜💜
Poison was SO FUN. I saw them in concert and had a blast. They do have a few serious songs, though.... and the one that really gets to me is Something To Believe In. Bret (lead singer) actually broke down during the shooting of the video. Definitely recommend 💙💜
Poison's big hit was the ballad 'Every rose has its thorn'... other great singles - 'I want action'... 'Talk dirty to me' ... 'I won't forget you'... "Your mama don't dance" (Loggins & Messina cover) ... 'Stand' (Ritchie Kotzen on guitar)🔥🔥🔥🤘 I recall an interview w/ Ratt guitarist Robbin Crosby when Poison opened for them in the 80's, they brought in higher ticket sales... but members of Ratt felt like Poison were getting more attention. Ultimately, Poison's 1986 debut album outsold Ratt's later records... and Poison did not have it easy. They had a lot of haters... including their producers, who called them "image over substance". The fact that their old music still
If they didn’t kill 100 people in Rhode Island I wouldn’t feel guilty listening to them. They are a band I loved in the 80s. I was supposed to go to the show that night but My wife had to work unknowingly at the time she saved my life. Because I would of been up at the stage.
Poison has been my favorite band since 1986 when a friend's band opened for them, and he told me I should check them out. Glam metal (hair bands) were all about fun. The songs were about love, hanging out with buddies, partying and sex. They were always so upbeat and happy to be alive. It's what really pulled me into the glam scene and it's what has kept me a glam metal fan all of these years. It's awesome watching young people discover this style and all the amazing bands that made the scene happen. You two are fantastic, keep up the fun reviews!
Saw Ratt and Poison back in the day, they always put on such a show! Still a Brett Michaels fan..he did a concert where I am about 3 years ago outdoors at a biker friendly event along with Grand Funk Railroad. The guy still has it despite a few medical issues.
I've seen them several times and it is always a great time. Met Bret after one show and he is so kind and gracious to fans. You can tell he still loves his job after all these years. I might be a little fanatical because I recognized him on The Masked Singer before he even sang because I know how he moves. Lol
I knew who he was on the Masked singer as well. Bret has had many health issues including Type 1 diabetes and they were 1 of the first band to promote safe sex even installing condom machines on their buses
My favorite Poison song! You've already done "Talk Dirty to Me" (taken down), but you have a lot more to choose from. For your next one, you can do "Nothin' But a Good Time", "Your Mama Don't Dance", "Something to Believe In", or, if you want to see their tender, ballad-y side, their biggest-ever hit is "Every Rose Has Its Thorn". Bret Michaels & Poison have been together nearly 40 years and are STILL GOING! They are set to start The Stadium Tour in 2022, along with Motley Crue, Def Leppard, and Joan Jett! Get your tickets!! The rest of the band is: C.C. DeVille on lead guitar, bassist/pianist Bobby Dall, and drummer Rikki Rockett. P.S. For your next hair band video, please do "Round and Round" by Ratt.
If you like hot sax solo work anything with David Sanborn is always guaranteed to kill. He host Night Music for 2 years check out any of the episodes, there is always a smoking sax solo somewhere.
Bret Michael...be still my heart!! I am 52 and I have loved him since I was 16 (he's my husband, he just doesn't know it 😁). I've seen them in concert 3 times. The 3rd time was about 7 years ago. Front row seats and Bret Michael's reached down and touched my hand. I could've died. It was definitely 16 year old me fan girling! I love Poison so much!! Amber- you guys NEED to do Every Rose Has Its Thorn...Great song!
Such a great song! Actually, the whole album is great. Their first two albums were very, very good, but this album (their third) was a masterpiece, IMO. Right up there with all the other classic rock albums. They kind of got written off as not as good as bands like Motley Crue and Guns N Roses, but they were super talented and had great, catchy songs.
I Won't Forget You, Every Rose Has it's Thorn, and Something to Believe in. Some deeper more serious but beautiful songs. Brett Michaels- lead singer, C.C. DeVille lead guitar, Bobby Dall-Bass, and Rikki Rocket on drums.
These guys always a Blast in concert, lots of fun. Brett Micheals- lead singer, lead guitar- CC Deville, Bobby Dall on Bass and Rickie Rocket on drums.
Always liked these guys. When my son was 3, he would sing their ballad Every Rose has its Thorn... only his version was Every Rose has its Own... he and his 5 year old sister would come to blows over the lyrics. I have a video of them singing it together and ending up in a brawl about it. Now they are grown and have teenagers of their own! My how time flies.
Loved your reactions. I was 18 when this song came out in June of 1990. Lol... I enjoy it, now, but absolutely hated it when it came out. Three months later, Warrant released, Cherry Pie. LOL... Not a good summer for Glam Metal songs. But looking back, I smile. 🤘❤🤘
To answer your questions on band members: Lead singer is Bret Michaels and lead guitar is C.C. DeVille. Bassist Bobby Dall and drummer Rikki Rocket round out the band. Bret Michaels was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 6. Next for Poison, try one of their ballads- Something to Believe In, or Every Rose Has It's Thorn.
If you’re digging the 80’s hair metal bands, definitely check out the band White Lion. They also have a ton of great songs to check out. Little Fighter, when the children cry, & tell me are just a few great mentions
When I was in high school in the early 90's we had an all school assembly. A hypnotist came and preformed. He had a group come up in stage. He had them under and told them to sing a song that described themselves. One girl sang this
All these hair metal band lead singers were born from David Lee Roth. He was the king of showmen for rock bands in this era. But to go back even further Steven Tyler was a ladies favorite.
Poison has so many songs to check out. From this album, try Life Loves A Tragedy, Life Goes on and Somethin' To Believe In -- In this song Brett Michaels wrote about some of life's injustices after his bodyguard and close friend passed away. It's a very different song from this one. Other ones include Fallen Angel, Love On The Rocks, I Won't Forget You and Nothing But A Good Time -- if you do this one, you have to find the official video that starts with the guy washing the dishes working at a restaurant.
You need to hear some of the bands from the early 80s. You've heard the kings, Motley Crue, but not much else. Poison is mid to late 80s. In the beginning you had Motley Crue, Ratt (Round and Round for a song), Dokken who you reacted to and W.A.S.P. (check out Love Machine by them). Even with Motley you've heard later 80s songs. Check out the early stuff like Live Wire, Too Fast For Love, Shout at the Devil or Too Young To Fall in Love. For Dokken try Tooth and Nail, Just Got Lucky and When Heaven Comes Down. Other bands in this early time are Great White (Rock Me), Y&T (Mean Streak) and even early Def Leppard (Hello America).
Poison is one of those bands that is just fun to listen to no matter what they do. I've listened to some of their albums all the way through and enjoyed every single song. They also have an entire album of covers that are SO great.
Unskinnybop was everything back in the day. Boy this one brings back memories of cruising the ave on a Friday night. Radio up, hanging out the window screamin singing Unskinny Bop Bop! Drinking wine coolers out of a come back cup. Meeting boys, making friends, late summer nights just livin free and being young. Poison put out some great music! Every Rose Has A Thorn was a great power ballad. Amber your hair is adorable
Omg the 80s were the best for big hair. I always got yelled at because I would get hairspray all over the bathroom walls & it would get all sticky. My mom would have to scrub real hard to get it off. 🤷♀️ Also, when I look at my yearbook, the heigh of everyone’s hair (including mine lol) was insane. Always had to have a few cans of aqua net on hand.😂
Poison is: Bret Michaels (lead vocals), Rikki Rockett (drums, real name Richard Ream), Bobby Dall (bass, real name Robert Kyundall)... C.C. DeVille (guitar, real name Bruce Johansson) Now, guitarist C.C. DeVille was once fired in 1991... Poison got guitarist Ritchie Kotzen in 1993... fired him and used guitarist Blues Saraceno in 1995. But Poison felt the original 4 were the only real band... C.C. had cleaned up his act (mostly 😁) by 1999 and reunited w/ Poison til today.
Poison was all about a good time, no doubt about it, but you should check out a lyric video for Something To Believe In. I always thought it was a great early 90s song from the heart.
my daughter was in her teens and me in my 30's both fell in love with this band and would watch for their videos and start dancing. fun times. smiles and love to you
I'm sorry but .. How are there not more comments about how great Amber looks. DAYUM!! You Rob are a lucky man, you got a Dime Piece. 10/10 or she the Unskinny Bop???
Hair bands were the best! If you really want more..check out Slaughter...Great White...Y&T....and definitely check out Winger! Poison lead singer is Brett Michaels
I love Poison but hate this song. They have so many more songs that are so much better. FALLEN ANGEL, UNTILL YOU SUFFER SOME FIRE AND ICE or RIDE THE WIND
Every Rose has a Thorn is an amazing Ballad but my fav, and still apt today is Something to Believe in. A song really from the heart and him choking up watching the clip of his mate who passed, just wow
I love listening to Poison as well and two of my favorites by them are "Every rose has its thorn" and " Something to believe in". Especially the second one.
The 80s and the music were so much fun. I think back to some great high school dances, and cruising main street with the music turned up on the weekend night. So many great memories.
The names of the 4 members are Bret Michaels on Vocals, CC Deville on Guitar, Bobby Doll on Bass & Rikki Rocket on Drums. One of my best friends is the Drummer in Poison tribute band called Shot Of Poison & the first tribute band endorsed by Poison.
I seen Poison all 3 times they came to Tucson. I was lucky to have just hit Jr high and High school when all the hair bands were super popular and doing tons o shows on their tours. I have seen close to 40 bands/ singers.
I found your page and you two make me smile all the music I have loved and seeing your reactions it's awesome Thank you !!! I needed this channel in my life !!!!
Brett Michaels is one of the few 80s rockers that actually looks the same and took care of himself.
Amber....you might be more sold after hearing "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" and especially "Something To Believe In".
Epic!!!!!
She would probably like a few of their other slow songs too...like "I Won't Forget You" or "Life Goes On".
Yes!!! Please Every Rose Has A Thorn!!!!
Or "Fallen Angel."

"Talk Dirty to Me" and "Fallen Angel" are Poison's two best songs.
.....I think you may have spelled "my two *favorite* Poison songs" wrong. Or were you trying to state your personal opinion as fact?
Fallen Angel and Something To Believe in are my faves
Nah. "Something To Believe In" & "Stand" are their two best.
I love how everyone says these are Poisons best. No..they're just your faves, to each his own.

I always thought of them as Motley Crue lite.

Bobby Dall--Bass, piano, backing vocals
Rikki Rockett--Drums, backing vocals

Now, guitarist C.C.
I always thought it was a great early 90s song from the heart.
my daughter was in her teens and me in my 30's both fell in love with this band and would watch for their videos and start dancing. fun times. smiles and love to you
The first 2 Poison CDs were perfection. After that Grunge killed Hair Metal
1st 3…… then CC left.
"No one can destroy the metallll....."
(The metal, by tenacious D!)
Yes! Mark Slaughter had a great voice!
Every rose has its thorn is a great song by them
I love Poison but hate this song. They have so many more songs that are so much better. FALLEN ANGEL, UNTILL YOU SUFFER SOME FIRE AND ICE or RIDE THE WIND
Fallen Angel, Ride The Wind, and Talk Dirty To Me. Brett solo- Raine, All I Ever Needed. Awesome reaction guys.
They're from Pennsy. When they look at their watches it's a way of life here. If you can't be on time, BE EARLY.
Every Rose has a Thorn is an amazing Ballad but my fav, and still apt today is Something to Believe in. A song really from the heart and him choking up watching the clip of his mate who passed, just wow
Havent heard this in quite a bit ! Jammin in my chair ! Thanks ! 😍😍bop bop. Skinny bop bop !
Saw them twice in concert and they put on an awesome show.
CC Deville is in my top 10 guitarists of all time. I think because of the hair band nature of the band, he is very under appreciated
Poison was really energetic and fun to see in concert. Thank you for another great reaction!
Saw Poison 4 times in the 80's and 90's. They were great in concert. Open up and say ahh tour I was 2 rows off the stage. Was fantastic.
The entire band interacts with the crowd during a concert on this song. Such a blast!
Got to do their classic. - I want action, talk dirty to me, every rose, something to believe in
I love listening to Poison as well and two of my favorites by them are "Every rose has its thorn" and " Something to believe in". Especially the second one.
Poison's ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" is an absolute must-do.
Another great song by my fave band. Keep them coming. You gotta do Every Rose Has It's Thorn...sigh. I promise you'll love it!
Lead Singer - Bret Michaels Bass - Bobby Doll - Guitar - CC Deville - and on drums Rikki Rocket
The 80s and the music were so much fun. I think back to some great high school dances, and cruising main street with the music turned up on the weekend night. So many great memories.
The guitarist CC Devil (De-Vill) of Poison, played the lead guitar solo on Warrants Cherry Pie song.
I grew up with headbanger brothers and, because of them, this was my all-time favorite song as a kid 🤘❤
I seen Poison all 3 times they came to Tucson. I was lucky to have just hit Jr high and High school when all the hair bands were super popular and doing tons o shows on their tours. I have seen close to 40 bands/ singers.
Something to believe in, fallen angel, talk dirty to me. Poison is a great 80s hairband
I found your page and you two make me smile all the music I have loved and seeing your reactions it's awesome Thank you !!! I needed this channel in my life !!!!
