Catch and Cook on the Rocks!! **Why I Cut the Tail of My Fish**

  • You all asked for a catch and cook, so here you go! I cast off a 150 foot cliff with a swimbait, the water was a lot more rough than I thought it would be but still caught fish. Ended up taking out the butter and cooking a nice brown rockfish over charcoal on the rocks where I caught her.

I don't know if you actually read the comments a lot... But something that fascinated me in another video you made was...
GOING FISHING WITH NO BAIT, ROD, GEAR or EQUIPMENT. And you managed to find ALL THOSE on a yeti, and it was really impressive, since you are the only UA-camr (to my knowledge) that has done that without bringing actually anything. Since that video was so rare to see, it would be awesome to do a part 2 about that.

Matt, just a little suggestion if you haven't thought of it before. Leave a note or tell someone before you head out or leave a note with info. like time, place, and approximate return time. Better safe then sorry. Just got back from Don Pedro Lake, my son caught two Bass on the small side, but great fighters. Look forward to the next vid!

Internal Fury middle east is one of the best if not the best places to fish. It beats florida any day. Clam warm waters full of all kinds of fish. From cobia, tuna,do rada, sailfish, Blue/black marlin, sword fish, many kids of grouper and a trevallies including the GT (giant trevally) which is the best sport fish in the world, barracudas. King mackerals, wahoo, roosters, red snappers and many more. It is all down here and people love fishing here unless if they live inland. Fishing is big business and big sport around here in the costal areas.

Woah woah woah now. Florida fishing has always been the PREMIERE fishing site of the U.S.A.... I'm going here in a few hours and I guarantee I will come back with a cooler full of snapper.

What I like most about your videos is you show a definite respect for your viewers by taking the time to frame and edit the content so everyone can see what and why you're doing it. Too many other youtube posters tape one shot and it's a complete waste of the viewer's time cuz the content is out of frame, inaudible, redundant, etc. Another great job!

The only problem with cutting the tail for me, is the tail and the bellyflap are the best bits of the fish! Cheers for the video man! Keep up the good work.

Hi I recently found your channel and was intrigued to watch you. I am also from the bay area, born and raised but now live in Oregon. I like to fish but really don't care to eat it if it's fishy...lol Your charisma and how informative you are makes for great videos. Your truly adventurous and brave to go to some of these places alone and for that alone I commend you. Keep up the good work. Take care and be safe.

I've eaten fish all my life, so recently I come to the conclusion that it's much more satisfying eating fish with chopsticks because one can savor smaller morsels of fish. I feel much more satisfied after my meal. It's something to consider especially if your catch is small.
My chopsticks helped me slow down from eating up my smoked fish to fast.
Anyway your videos are very well made and worth watching. keep up the great work....err great fishing

As a frequent chopsticks user, I do not approve. Picked up 3oz of salmon pretty easily

Formλn Greedλn I pick up grains of uncooked rice as part of my upbringing. Chopsticks have zero taste vs fish bait and dirt. Besides the chopsticks make it easier to pick up small pieces of your meal, 3 ounce pieces are not even a challenge.

I've been well known for Fishing freshwater in CA. Between can't and friends. Everyone knows I catch my limits etc. Getting back into surf/rock fishing with my new girl who is a diehard ocean queen. Your videos have given my motivation to bit the lincod/whatever else lol hard. Although I do not keep nearly as many fish as you and dislike it just a small bit your videos are good. Better than my grammer.
