- Out on the canal targeting perch with the lures. This was a hard session but we managed to get a couple of perch and a pike. Also bumped into a fine specimen of a bull.
The canal was pretty coloured and the bright conditions were against us. Although the fishing was a bit slow it was a good day and great fun on the light tackle. Cannot beat a stroll along the canal 👍
Childhood sweets black jacks, cola cubes , cola bottles, the 12p mars bar, caramac bar, yorky bar, milky way, fruit salads, kinder surprise, nice vid as usual gents my favourites tangy haribos
Cheers mate. O wow how could I forgot about cola bottles and tangy haribo 😋. Not seen the cola cubes for ages but they were up there with the best of them 👍
Sport mixture 😁 nice Video Lads ,looks like a proper lovely Day on the cut
Yeah it's always a lovely day on the cut as I'm sure you know. What we lacked in fish we certainly made up for in talking alot of bullocks!
Cracking vid as usual. Is that Tiverton Canal?
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it. This was filmed on the Taunton & Bridgwater canal 👍
@@UltralightLads fantastic keep the vids coming.
Looks like a nice day out on the banks, Lads. Have you ever tried the Eurotackle Hellgrammites in the canals?
It was really good. Birds were singing and the sun was shining. Just a shame the fish weren't that hungry 😂. Not actually heard of those! Just had a look and they look nice 👍
Cough Candy Twists!!
Oh that's a good call!
Do you find the lighter weight jig heads prevent you from getting snagged up on the weeds? My go-to weight for jig heads on the canal are the 0.7 gram jig heads from AGM. I find even if I just go up to 1+ gram, I start getting more snagged up on the weed in the canal
Yeah I couldn't agree more Peter. It's a fine line as I find sometimes that a lighter jighead will stop a lure working properly on the drop but as you said, too much weight amd it dives into the weed....
