Problem was your drag, not the knot. Or you didn't wet it and it weakened the line when you cinched it. This knot is as strong as your line.

Its the Sony ZV-E10. A cracking bit of kit and quite light to carry too. I think its on offer at the moment too. Just try to find a lightweight tripod if you can as thats where the weight is if you like to stay mobile.

Yeah I live locally and fish quite a few of the spots you lads do. I’m trying to think what locations to put some time in over the winter period. Thinking the river or some of the drains. All the best 👍

Oh thats good to know mate. The drains hold some monsters from what im told. The rivers a funny old one as weve had some nice fish from there but as im sure you know it changes so drastically from week to week where as the canal is usually a safe bet! I fancy trying to work out the KSD at some point as that must hold some real lumps!

The river is very hit or miss for perch. Far more blanks than catches for sure! I do think it has the potential for a real big fish though. I haven’t fished the KSD for years! Only been out there a couple of times piking. It used to get hammered and was poached a lot. Hopefully things have improved out there 👌

Hi Brian, Mikey uses the 1 to 10g korum so solid with the Tsurinoya Dark Wolk Ultra BFS reel. And I use the new HTO Tempest Range 11g rod and a Shimano Stradic 1000. Cheers
