Ultralight Canal Fishing With Lures

Join us in this episode as we head to the canal for a bit of lure fishing with the ultralight rods. We catch various species like perch, rudd, and our first ever bream caught on a lure. The conditions were scorching hot, but there was a fair amount of cloud.
As soon as we arrived we could see a lot of bait fish feeding on the surface and we knew that the predators wouldn't be that far behind.

That canal looks a whole lot clearer than my local canal, was this very early in the morning? Most of the time my local canal has the clarity of turd soup 😁

It's a lovely rig to have a play with. Ideal for this time of year when the smaller species are up in the water amd want things presented a bit differently as it has a very slow drop!

Yes, feel very lucky to have this on our doorstep. Thankfully we don't suffer with this issue as it would be a pretty long walk with a trolley, sure it is a different situation in the town itself though. The only thing we have seen recently in the canal was a stormtrooper mask looking back up at us 😂
