- Fishing the Pike anglers club Lancaster canal competition. Had a great day out and the pike fishing was eventful! Met loads of great new people and will definitely be fishing the next. The style of this video is a lot different to the norm but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless! This is because the fishing was very competitive and I was really pushing myself to do the best I could rather than normal where I take things a lot easier and out more time into the filming. Some good action still caught on camera though and some great memories!
Watch to see how I get on!
If you enjoyed this video please don't forget to like and subscribe, it really helps the channel!
I was fishing using the rigged and ready fish rig max coupled with the RR3000 spinning reel. You can get 10% off both of these on the rigged and ready store using code AFUK10 available from: riggedandready.net
Catch you down the road. - Розваги
Great effort in this comp mate! i know Gavin from when i was a member of PAC, i once saw him land an 11 pound pike on really light gear!
really nice guy and great angler!
Thanks mate! yeah he's a nice guy and catches some decent fish 👍
Absolutely class effort! Top 6 out of 25, you should be buzzed man! Good fishing 👍🏻 same to your team member too!!
Thanks mate! Yeah was a good result, shame I didn’t catch that first one or would’ve brought home a few prizes!
That's a great effort mate 6th is very respectable and if you learned something from other anglers about how and where to fish then everything is good well done mate and better luck next time, and if you see a pike hanging from a tyre then you know it's your lure😜😜
Yeah I definitely learned a lot about the canal that's for sure! The lure actually went right into the tyre so its not in the water 😂 The owner of that canal boats in for a treat when they're next on it. Cost me £8 that! Thanks for the comment
@@adventurefishinguk Ohhhhhhhhh now you're just boasting about how you can land a lure in a tyre 🤣🤣 there'll be boat owners all along the canal checking to see if they have your lure on board as a stowaway and it's all your fault #Freethelure 🤣🤣🤣...................I'll get me coat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😉😉
Enjoy the videos getting me back into fishing will have to tackle up
Thanks mate!
Them fox rage realistic perch are savage
Great aren’t they 👍
@@adventurefishinguk ya
Nice one George you did well, the first fish you lost looked a decent size 🙄,I was gutted I couldn't make it,hopefully be on the next one 👍🏼
Yeah it felt like an okay fish, shame it came off it would've been the difference between a few prizes! Hope to see you there next year
Was a great day, nice to finally meet you
You too mate well done on coming second that was a great effort
Cool video man, keep it up 👏😁🐊
Thanks mate I appreciate that!
good guide you had there top lad gav
Yeah was great fishing with him, he definitely knows his stuff!
Great video!
Thanks mate!
6th out of 25 is not bad well done
Cheers Ray!
great vid bro
Thanks Dave glad you enjoyed it!
Another great video George. Were any big perch caught on the day?
Thanks Michael! I didn't hear of any big perch cropping up unfortunately. Glasson dock definitely looked like it held a few though!
You best get back to the canal to get those lost pike!!
Hoping to be back there this weekend 🤞
Have a look at 1:26 George. The cap on the end of your rod butt is unscrewing it's self.
Exact same thing happened to me and I lost it. I have replaced it with a piece of dowelling and a sawn-off champagne cork.
It's now my Laurent Perrier rod!
I do notice that happening to me from time to time! So far I've managed to tighten it before it's fallen, but if I ever lose one I'll bear in mind the Laurent Perrier method for fixing it!
Nice one George 👍
Thanks Rick!
i thought it was just in the dock is that on the main canal somewhere
Yeah mate it was in the whole stretch of canal controlled by the PAC from Preston to hest bank I believe
Gr8 vid man. Real life fishing. If it's slow it's slow. I do see some vids that are like oh cast fish cast fish. I've never fished here before bullsh**. I bet it's stressful with a time limit. And water you don't know.
What editing program do you use. My little lad is chewing my ear about recording our fishing. Not sure though about editing.
It was stressful with the time limit but it definitely made it more exciting with prizes and trophies at stake! Maybe next year I'll get my hands on one.
You should definitely start filming some of your fishing it's great fun and great memories to look back on. I use iMovie on my laptop, couldn't help you with a recommendation for windows though unfortunately!
Thanks forgetting back it's appreciate it.
I will keep working my swims and finding them honey holes this season. You never know we may post a few vids of our journey as beginners. I will keep you posted. Can't wait to see what you post next
Were the place along Lancaster canal to pike fish this time year for beginners mate?
Have a look on google maps mate, turning circles, features and basins always hold pike. Even more so this time of year! Keep your retreive slow and lures on the slightly bigger side
Great video, do you have to be a pac member to fish the comp?
Thanks mate! I think so yeah, have to be a PAC member to pike fish on that whole stretch of canal.
Robinson Crusoe is a Angler too?
😂 appreciated this
When and where is this me and my brother are midlands pike anglers we do hit big pike and think this is something for us
They get organised every now and again, join the PAC facebook group 👍
@@adventurefishinguk cheers I will have a look when the wife is back as I don’t really do social media
You should invest in a peto. Class lures.
Funny you should say that I recorded a video using it about a week ago it'll be out later today hopefully!
@@adventurefishinguk watched the peto video loved every second of it, great stuff.
@@lexingtonlad5745 Thanks mate really glad you liked it
