- We get to chat about every album cover , not every single rare release but the main ones anyway. We also ranked the album covers semi haphazardly ( especially Peter) lol.
Special thanks to Michael for the donation and the great idea that we based the episode on. That was a super fun topic to geek out on!

Great episode! Thanks for the shout out! You guys are the best! I always thought that the cover of The Originals was supposed to be Gene blowing fire around the band but I'm probably wrong. Lol
It does kind of look like that! 45 years of looking at that record and I never noticed that haha.
Thanks so much man. Your topic is next!
I thought that too so you're not wrong 😅
That episode was just what I needed... thanks guys!!
Thank YOU! Hope you check out our Love Gun episode as well!
Never get tired of looking at or talking KISS album covers. A great childhood memory is how many of the KISS debut, Dressed to Kill, and Alive! albums I saw at garage sales and the StarLite Swap n Shop in the early 80s (always checked to see if it was a better copy at fifty cents than the warped copy I had at home). Alive II cover always made a statement I think. Was in my 20s when I realized Gene's A2 makeup was different. Excellent review! Pacific Ocean Blue is an awesome album BTW
Star Lite swap meet??? You must be local!!
Pacific Ocean Blue!!!! Classic indeed!
LG was my first Kiss album and the cover has always been my #1.. Unmasked, Creatures, ALIVE 2, and Hotter than Hell round out my top 5.. Another awesome episode
Hey, thanks, man! LG for the win. It tops my list, too!
JF
@@CrazyLG72 Love Gun was my first album... by anyone... so difficult to pick anything else... but I'm not trying, lol
Nice Dennis Wilson shirt. Great Kiss covers that reflect both the times that they were made in, and the times they influenced.
Thank you!!
Thanx really enjoyed that.
1. Love gun 2. Hotter than hell 3 . Dynasty 4. Kiss. 5. Dressed 2 kill . Salute from Australia 🇦🇺 keep up great work.
Glad I'm not alone in thinking Love Gun is the best cover!
Thank you very much!!

Anyway - great show again!👍🤘

4 Alive!
5 Creatures of the night
6 Hotter than hell

8 Dynasty
9 Killers
10 Destroyer
Best photo in a Kiss-Album ever:
Gatefold of Alive II🤘🤘
Keep on rocking and greetings from Germany 🇩🇪👍🤘
Thanks very much!!!! Solid list! Basically my top 10 on different order.
"Passionate purple Paul." Lol
You're so right in that their '70s album covers were so much more interesting. That tidbit on the Dressed to Kill cover photo being shot during the week of Hotter than Hell's release is one of the reasons I keep tuning in. Fascinating stuff like that. And holy shit, I never realized Ace's eyes on his solo album aren't level! Now I'll never NOT see it.
Anyway, my fave covers:
1. Hotter than Hell - It pops and they all just look so fucking cool and sinister.
2. Destroyer - The 1st KISS thing my eyes ever saw. The image just fits the actual album to a tee.
3. Rock and Roll Over - Unique and an eye-catcher. A quality work of pop-art, IMO.
4. Love Gun - Peter's head placed on Schwarzenegger's body. But it's the cover where our Starchild looks the coolest. And all the well-endowed women at their feet don't hurt either.
5. Creatures of the Night - Like Destroyer, the cover fits the album perfectly. I really regret not seeing this tour.
Honorable mentions:
Alive
Alive II - Best album package ever done.
Double Platinum - Love it. It's just.....fun.
Each and every '78 solo
The Elder - I proudly side with the minority who love this album.
And oh yeah, even though it may not count, I LOVE the cover to The Very Best of KISS. Colorful and fun.
Everyone loves the cover to Dressed to Kill. But, for me, Gene ruins it. He just doesn't look cool. The other three do, but Gene literally looks like an awkward clown.
As always, enjoyed your thoughts and comments.
Gene the awkward clown haha. I totally get that, man.
All your opinions here are totally on point.
And you KNOW we agree with you on your Elder opinion. MASTERPIECE!!!
Thanks as always for being a great commenter/viewer. You know we love ya man.

The only Kiss thing I have left in my possession (recently sold most of my stuff) is my Love Gun album...still love the smell of that 1st ever vinyl LP that I bought when I was 8.
Nothing beats the smell of old vinyl.
Love your show guys! Not a fan of band this century, but really dig the nostalgia talk. Love a lot of their album covers.
5) COTN (1985), 4) Alive!, 3) RARO, 2) Destroyer, 1) Love Gun
Oh wow, a vote for Creatures 85!!! Good one!
And yep, nostalgia is what drives us to do this for sure!!
@@anywayyousliceitreviews OH yeah, it was the first exposure I had to COTN.
Thank you so very much for doing this! As with every episode, I loved it from beginning to end! The discussions are always engaging! My Top 5 would definitely be: 1.) LOVE GUN (Not just a classic KISS album cover, but a classic rock album cover!); 2.) ROCK AND ROLL OVER; 3.) DRESSED TO KILL (The definition of "cool"); 4.) UNMASKED (As a kid going through my cousin's albums, UNMASKED caught my eye because of the comic book-style cover. Still one of the best); and 5.) HOT IN THE SHADE (I know, I know... But that cover makes me smile out loud everytime I see it! And, yes, I had that cover on a shirt... More than once, actually, as I worse that design out!) Take it easy!
Now I feel bad for ranking on HITS! My apologies man! It's actually not all that bad I guess.
It was a pleasure doing this episode, so thank you for the idea!!!
And of course, thank you very very much for the kind words!!!
JF
@@anywayyousliceitreviews Hahaha! No worries, man! That's half the fun of it! But with that having been said... Between my love of that cover and (You Make Me) Rock Hard, I think I may get dishonorably discharged from the KISS ARMY and forced to join the AIR SUPPLY RESERVES! You guys have a good one!
LOL!
Thank you again, my friend!! You're a kind man. Any idea for a show topic? Our next episode is for a donater amd we can add your topic in as well. Absolutely anything you want. Can be non-Kiss too.
Thanks again man.
@@anywayyousliceitreviews You're very welcome, but, seriously, THANK YOU guys for doing the show! I don't have a topic; I'm just really looking forward to what other topics other viewers want covered! Take it easy, guys!
Nice Dennis Wilson shirt. Pacific Ocean Blue is a great album.
Thank you!!! I like to call it the best Beach Boys album of the 70s. Dennis was such a unique talent.
I might agree with you on that. I'm saying that as someone who likes 70's beach boys way more than most sane people. I'm just trying to keep the summer alive.
Haha yeah I do love 70's Beach Boys, especially the earlier 70s stuff. Some of Surfs Up is flat out mindblowing(I think you know what songs I'm talking about).
But as a whole, from start to finish, I do think Pacific Ocean Blue is a masterpiece.
On a side note, I was wearing that shirt at a bar in a nearby casino, and the bartender told me he used to serve Dennis all the time. Some bar in Venice Beach, early 80s. I thought that was cool.
Will check out your channel!
@@anywayyousliceitreviews Yeah Surfs up has some great stuff. I would agree Pacific Ocean Blue is a masterpiece. Serving Dennis would have been crazy I bet. Thanks! I appreciate you checking it out. I'm not very professional about it I just kind of do it for fun.
