Least I can do! It was part of the deal of me buying and getting stuff out. I told her I would make her a path/trail to be able to get back to his shop and also I'd there were any cars she wanted to keep I would move them were they would last a little longer
The steel grating on the sides of the truck bed is made of old WWII Maston matting or otherwise known as instant runway. Used extensively in the pacific island campaign to make quick set up runways. You dont see much of that stuff anymore as well as the truck its attached to!
I have done refurbishing an those are going to test the best of them for getting them even close without a lot of money and time. Wishing ya the best and hoping you see your dream
@@DeadPedalMotors Just that all the vehicles looked interesting and despite the fact that they've been sitting for a long time they were quite well preserved. I live on the rainy coast of BC and it was news to me that there are dry regions in Oregon.
@@DeadPedalMotors Both, actually. The Chevy for looks, love that horn! And the pump truck for inventiveness! The man who owned all of this and was that inventive was an amazing guy. @SondraD7676 ah the horn is a dodge pickup. The chevy is the one I put the brush away and the pump truck is an international or was an international. Lol

@DeadPedalMotors awesome! We subscribed to you as well. Watching some of your videos now while we think of what to film for an adventure today since it's pouring down rain
I haven't pulled it from the yard but hoping I can get it out at some point. Stay tuned for more on it! Was unable to really see much about it as far as engine etc.
I'll try to get it cleaned off next outing and see what/if I can get the car out of there. Lot of trees in the way. You wanting just the windshield or the whole car?
Guy liked cars. Normally people choose chevy, dodge, ford. This guy liked it all. Hearing the lady talk sounds like most of it was necessity the rest for fun
You moving her husband's truck into the shed where it will be out of the weather is a very kind gesture

Good to know!!! Cool history!
wonder if the truck came from there or if the metal was just obtained and created the bed?
That rollback operator is a magician!! First-timer here!!!
Yep. 100% why I use them!

Currently building the 68 ford wagon that came out of this yard so agreed on the time aspect. Have rebuilt the whole cowl almost at this point
Wow, what a great restoration that old truck would be.
Which one? Currently rebuilding the 68 ford wagon for hot rod power tour thus year
That 1952 Ford truck was known as the Sanford & Son or the Redd Foxx truck.
Very trippy video.
Like stepping back in time trippy or?

I try my best not to scrap something. Even if it's rough. Salvage what can be saved!
This is a well drilling rig, the big Fram that is horizontally on the top side will move vertical once on site where the well is being drilled!!!
Good to know!
That F1 was really cool
Yes it is! Wish I could save it but I'm going to honor her wishes and try to keep it out of the elements so she can see it for longer!
Cool old truck, those metal sides are military corduroy.
Haven't heard that term in awhile 🤣
We toured an old car junk yard a couple weeks ago. Nothing in the woods like this though.
Usually most are organized. This was one guy's accumulation over many years. Which one did you tour?

The Moss decorated teuck has a massive frame ( stake truck) that otange Maverick looks likw mid 1970's,,that '49 Ford,,was it crushed?
The 49 wasn't crushed. Just moved under covering. Owner wants to keep it. I try to not crush anything
Id like to know more about that blue 1969 Cadillac at 1:06

Love the maverick parents Had one Identical
Awesome. Going to take some doing but hopefully can save it

I think the item laying behind the old dump truck with the axles on it is an
old airplane engine.....
That sounds more reasonable than a pump!
If she was so sentimental about her hubby's old truck why not keep it indoors from the get go?
Not entirely sure. I didn't ask how he went but I'd imagine it was quick and the truck was an after thought.
If the rambler has a decent windshield i'm interested.

How much do you want for the orange maverick 2 door my wife had one 29 years ago
Let me get it out and home first. I assume floors will need work. Front of hood has rust also from initial look.
OK thanks just let me know when you get it and what you want for it
Or even the 4 door would be OK with me but my wife had a 2 door
@davidhayes900 the 4 door Comet I have out already and just got to the house. Asking $750 obo on it. 250 inline/auto and A/C car.
The Dodge truck with the V8 in it should have a Hemi in it. the H on the side was on it...
Will get more in depth once I can safely open the hood. Very possible
Take a leaf blower with you
I typically have one, especially when I know it's one coming back to the house with me.
