Instead of adding iced water to loosen the texture of the hummus, why not reserve and re-add 1 to 2 tablespoons of the aquafaba (which was poured down the drain in the beginning), instead?

You're back!! I love making homemade hummus, but it's time consuming because I typically boil canned chickpeas in a little bit of baking soda until the skins come off and then blend all the ingredients together. I'm now back in grad school, so I'm happy to have a quicker recipe. Thanks, as always, for sharing this.

I will never buy hummus again because this recipe is delicious and super easy. I learned something from Dani that you don’t have to use tahini and you can use any other nut butter or seed butter, which is what I used (sunbutter). It is DELICIOUS! How can you say that you can skip the Tbs of tahini and you will not notice the difference. In the countries of origin, tahini is the flavour of the dish but being American you probably have not tasted the authentic hummus. Yes, I am Greek and know what I am talking about your method and your recipe is great but please do not skip on the tahini 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I understand and if you are going for a true, authentic hummus - then yes, you definitely need the tahini. But often time people are just need what is easy and may not have tahini on hand - so in a pinch, alternative nut butters can get the job done.
