Tonecheer has become one of my favored book nook brands. I enjoy the ease and relaxation that comes with one of their builds. I love the bright colors, the cute added touches, and the slim profile. The light kits are easy to add, and almost all of the tools you need are included. I only say almost because I’ve gotten used to a few tools that make things a little easier when building nooks, like my hammer, or mallet, with a soft white tip that helps you avoid marring the design on the pieces. I also bring my own glue to the table, as I don’t care for the glue stick in the kit.
Typically, I’ve found I can complete a Tonecheer kit of this size in a day. The reason this one took five has nothing to do with the kit, and everything to do with life and adulting getting in the way. If you’ve read the descriptions on some of my other videos, you’ll know I give my all at my adulting job. Sometimes giving my all there leaves nothing for nooking, coding, reading, or gaming. I have to unplug from everything and just be. Focus on nothing, be present in my mom’s company, play with my dog, and breathe. This was one of those times.
I chose this kit because of the colors. I loved the way the pinks, purples, and blues made me think of summer, relaxing, and of zero responsibilities. Traveling and enjoying the sunshine, smells of the ocean air, kittens wandering around a quaint seaside town. Tonecheer’s designs help me imagine I’m in that space that they created and then split into tiny pieces for me to create again.
It’s a joy.
