How would you adapt your recipe to make an oatmeal bath bomb? Have made several batches of your basic recipe and they are perfection! Video is so valuable. Thank you!
I really enjoy watching your videos. You are very talented. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and talent with these videos. I am just starting out with bath bombs and wondering after you make your bombs, how/where do you let them sit while drying? Do you have a mold tray or something to let them dry? I imagine you can't let them sit on flat oan etc or the bottom would flatten. If you use tray or such where can I purchase it? Also, I am in Texas by the gulf, it' ALWAYS humid just like in Louisiana as you know. I purchased a dehumidifier but 50% humidity seriously... how do you ever get that much work done??!! Thank you so much!
I have little holder molds (cheap little tin molds that are useless for molding so I use them to hold the drying bombs) although I have just let them set out on the counter & they've been fine. I just leave them in the room overnight in the holder molds. Yeah its best to make bombs under 40% humidity but honestly, I make them ANYWAYS. As you said, its humid & the ONLY time I get 40-50% is in the dead of winter.
@@CreativeBathLab Exactly! The humidity is brutal here in South East Texas. Thank you so much for answering and your videos. I love them! In fact I decided to start soapmaking because of them. I had several strokes last year ans unable to work office job anymore. It gets boring at the house all day everyday. Watching you and the joy it brings I figure I will I try soapmaking as a hobby. It will help me strengthen and train my brain answering bonus of getting a surprise each time I create. Thanks again for giving me something to something to look forward to💜
Ohhh thank you so much for share your tricks..this video is so helpful!!! I loved it ♥️ I love to make bath bombs but right now I am testing my ingredients and I am learning each day because I think that it’s not easy to make them; in my case I have issues with the humidity in my environment 🥲 and my bath bombs get this humidity and as consequence they cracks. 💔
Hello. Thank you for your videos! Love them. A while back I watched a video of yours that was testing the fizziness and also comparing the bubbles etc. You were testing different bath bombs. Can I get the link for it please? Thank you💗🙏
Hey Dora! I looked on the list a couple of times but I didn't see where you get your colors from. I have tried several kinds but keep finding that anything purple or red leaves rings or residue in the tub. I am also having a hard time getting these colors to be vibrant in my mix. Can you recommend some brands? How much mica and how many drops do you recommend for a batch with one solid color? I wonder if I'm not using enough. Thanks and happy new year!
I make my own color powder with liquid food colorants, here is the info: ua-cam.com/video/ckJ-3kiC8eE/v-deo.html Always use polysorbate 80 & then you shouldn't have rings. For liquid food colorant, liquid-gel is the best & most vibrant. How many drops is up to you. For really vibrant colors, I use about 10 drops per batch & always add color powder & a bit of neon mica. Hopes this helps!
Opps sorry - re-watched and realized you said they are PVC caps....lol....what size were the caps please? Thanks Lynn. Just found you and subscribed...
Thank you very much for this information and video. I have a question, I was going to use essential oils to mine, what other wet ingredient would I use to make up the difference between my 25 drops vs. Three teaspoons (or tablespoons) you used of fragrance oil? Thank you!
And a super thanks right back at ya! I appreciate your support! I will continue to create more informative & educational videos that hopefully help you as much as this one did!
Thank you so much!! I loved this recipe! Can't wait to try it! I have few doubts. Should I go with the same simple recipe if I'm living in a humid country? Also, do we need to add distilled water or witch hazel if we feel it's too dry?
Thanks! Yes, use my simple recipe, if it’s still dry you can add whichever liquid. Just know that adding witch Hazel & alcohol will fix it for a bit but then the mix gets even drier. I’d suggest using POLYSORBATE 80 or carrier oil
Hi there ! I’ve been watching and absolutely love them ! My question 🙋🏽♀️ is I noticed you don’t use Epsom salts - is there a reason for that ? Thanks 😊
Actually, cracks can happen after the bombs have been [tightly] packed. This happens a lot during the drying phase If the recipe or weather conditions aren’t just so! Bombs can be VERY finicky!!!
I just made some bath bombs before finding this awesome video.. is it true you can put them in the fridge for 30* in order to be able to use them quicker or do you have to wait 24hrs to a week?
Will be my first time making bath bombs and this video was very helpful. Can I add some sweet almond oil or any other oil like vitamin E to it as well? Also how about dry rose petals? Thank you so much for all the information 😊
Hi Dora. I love watching your videos. Very informative and you are so creative and have great tips. I just started making them a few months ago. Still playing with the recipe. Questions, when you shrink wrap the bombs if they crack, are you using non-breathable wrap? I wrap my soaps in what has a few very tiny tiny holes to allow someone to smell them. Is that okay or should it be non-breathable? Thanks
No preservative needed sweetie. There’s no 1 specific co to get EVERYTHING… but for main ingredients, this depends on how many & how often u plan on making them! For example if you plan on making A LOT, ALL THE TIME- I’d suggest buying in bulk… the shipping is pricey but it pays off in the long run. If you plan on “dabbling” or you’re just getting into it, Amazon for sure!
My bath bomb is just color. It isn't foamy bubbly or anything What do I do? I used 3/4 cornstarch 1/2 cup Epsom salts 1/2 cup citric acid 1 cup baking soda Mix 3 tbsp olive oil Essential oil I use soap coloring instead of Mica. Should I use Mica? I put it in a mold. Pressed it down, packed it full. Hit it very hard to get it out after like 30 seconds and let it sit for like 2 days. Ay suggestions?
Thank you for the videos Dora! You are my goddess!!! Please excuse my dumb question, but what kind of oil would you recommend using to make the bomb more oily?
How long do you let your bombs dry before you shrink wrap? Thank you for the tip on the trigger clamp...fabulous idea....what did you put at the end on velcro to hold the bombs. Thank you, Lynn
You are so helpful! Thank you for sharing all the information you worked so hard to learn through the years. I’m planning on trying to make some bath bombs for my kids this week Thank you for all this detailed information
My pleasure! I’m a crazy person & go way beyond what u actually have to in order to make a descent bath bomb. I just wanted to make a bath bomb video & include EVERYTHING I’ve learned the past 2 years... hopefully it’ll help someone & make their bomb experience just a little bit easier than mine. I can still remember all the horrible batches of bath bombs.... I feel like a normal person would’ve just given up, but in fact, this made me work harder! Great learning experience tho!
@@CreativeBathLab this is really true, I make bath boms for 4 months now and I think now I have a good recipe for winter in Brazil, don't know if it will be good in summer, still cannot control the humidity but hope to get there soon only make on day's under 45 or 50% only don't know if the temperature interfere with making bath bombs ? But very good video like to see more ? Greetings Peter !
@@CreativeBathLab thanks for the response, I am Dutch but live in Brazil so it's difficult to make the boms the same as in Holland because there the umid is more than here, only hope my recipe will work in summer here also, thanks for responding 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@CreativeBathLab now I have a new problem my bombs were great father I made them now after 3 days drying they begin to crack open, o my god what's going on now, last time the other day, I think I can save them but they were so good do you think I had to use more cornflower 🤷
what spoon are you using i have been using the method of packing i used the recipe of the solid rock of the pink bombs and the tapping of the hammer when i mix wet ingredients polysorbate 80 fragrance n then water i got a weird reaction to the result it came out jelly and warm? any idea why i dont mind putting the practice and the cost i just want to have the confidence every time
Great great videos 💜, can really see your passion & knowledge into bath bombs. I have a question for you, I've noticed you use coco betaine sometimes and was curious for how come ? Guessing some formulas require/do better with it than others, but figured I'd ask. My other question for you--do you use SLSA & Sodium alginate often for the core & outer skin of bath bombs, or just for some in particular? Thank you and keep up the great work 😊
Thanks so much! Coco betaine is a surfactant & as such it slows the vigor, allowing the bomb to last longer & actually form bubbles & foam. You should watch my “make bombs like lush videos, this explains everything
¡Gracias!

Thank you for sharing these tips❤️
Opps sorry - re-watched and realized you said they are PVC caps....lol....what size were the caps please? Thanks Lynn. Just found you and subscribed...
So happy to have you! I don’t remember what size boo, I’m sorry!
This is exactly what I needed
😘
Thank you very much for this information and video. I have a question, I was going to use essential oils to mine, what other wet ingredient would I use to make up the difference between my 25 drops vs. Three teaspoons (or tablespoons) you used of fragrance oil? Thank you!
You are very welcome. You can use which ever wet ingredient that you want! Carrier oil, water, polysorbate 80, etc.
Thanks you for this gem of information ❤️
And a super thanks right back at ya! I appreciate your support! I will continue to create more informative & educational videos that hopefully help you as much as this one did!
After you place the bath bomb in the holder molds- how do you avoid the impression from the holder mold onto the bath bomb?
Thank you so much!! I loved this recipe! Can't wait to try it! I have few doubts. Should I go with the same simple recipe if I'm living in a humid country? Also, do we need to add distilled water or witch hazel if we feel it's too dry?
Thanks! Yes, use my simple recipe, if it’s still dry you can add whichever liquid. Just know that adding witch Hazel & alcohol will fix it for a bit but then the mix gets even drier. I’d suggest using POLYSORBATE 80 or carrier oil
@@CreativeBathLab okay great! Thank you so much!
Hi! Can you tell me please, where you buy that color powder in bags?
Thank you, i love your videos
Hi there ! I’ve been watching and absolutely love them ! My question 🙋🏽♀️ is I noticed you don’t use Epsom salts - is there a reason for that ? Thanks 😊
I don't like to because I live in a very humid state. Salts are humectant (draw in moisture) so I try to stay away from them.
Really good information 👌no wonder why my bombs come out cracked sometimes or they brak down.
U née to back it in tightly or there is no space to let it crake
☺️
Actually, cracks can happen after the bombs have been [tightly] packed. This happens a lot during the drying phase If the recipe or weather conditions aren’t just so! Bombs can be VERY finicky!!!
Great video love very good and useful tips I really like the video on coloring Epson salts as well!!!
Thank you! This tutorial almost killed me! I thought I was never going to Finish! lol. As long as it helps at least 1- then it’s all good!
I just made some bath bombs before finding this awesome video.. is it true you can put them in the fridge for 30* in order to be able to use them quicker or do you have to wait 24hrs to a week?
I’ve never heard of that. I know u can store in fridge to keep them longer
This video was amazing, thanks from Beazil!
😘
Will be my first time making bath bombs and this video was very helpful. Can I add some sweet almond oil or any other oil like vitamin E to it as well? Also how about dry rose petals? Thank you so much for all the information 😊
You're very welcome! ABSOLUTELY! Add all of that & more!
Thanks
im using non-breathable wraps yes (besides the tiny hole they all come with in order for the air to be pushed out when it's shrink wraped
Are preservatives needed
And what's the best company to purchase everything needed to make bath bombs
No preservative needed sweetie. There’s no 1 specific co to get EVERYTHING… but for main ingredients, this depends on how many & how often u plan on making them! For example if you plan on making A LOT, ALL THE TIME- I’d suggest buying in bulk… the shipping is pricey but it pays off in the long run. If you plan on “dabbling” or you’re just getting into it, Amazon for sure!
Really helpful video, thanks!
That’s what I’m hear for
My bath bomb is just color. It isn't foamy bubbly or anything
What do I do?
I used
3/4 cornstarch
1/2 cup Epsom salts
1/2 cup citric acid
1 cup baking soda
Mix
3 tbsp olive oil
Essential oil
I use soap coloring instead of Mica. Should I use Mica?
I put it in a mold. Pressed it down, packed it full. Hit it very hard to get it out after like 30 seconds and let it sit for like 2 days. Ay suggestions?
So helpful and fully detailed 🌻
So glad!
Thank you for the videos Dora! You are my goddess!!! Please excuse my dumb question, but what kind of oil would you recommend using to make the bomb more oily?
Any kind! Choose your favorite! A carrier oil like sweet almond or even melt luxurious butters & add that to wet! Any oil will do!
@@CreativeBathLabThank you so much Dora!! Your videos always make my day!
🥰
How long do you let your bombs dry before you shrink wrap? Thank you for the tip on the trigger clamp...fabulous idea....what did you put at the end on velcro to hold the bombs. Thank you, Lynn
You’re welcome! Yes, Velcro. I let mine set out 24 hours, then shrink wrap
You are so helpful! Thank you for sharing all the information you worked so hard to learn through the years. I’m planning on trying to make some bath bombs for my kids this week
Thank you for all this detailed information
That’s what I’m here for!!
@@CreativeBathLab now I have a new problem my bombs were great father I made them now after 3 days drying they begin to crack open, o my god what's going on now, last time the other day, I think I can save them but they were so good do you think I had to use more cornflower 🤷
Thank you for this amazing video 😍
You’re very welcome!
what spoon are you using i have been using the method of packing i used the recipe of the solid rock of the pink bombs and the tapping of the hammer when i mix wet ingredients polysorbate 80 fragrance n then water i got a weird reaction to the result it came out jelly and warm? any idea why i dont mind putting the practice and the cost i just want to have the confidence every time
Great great videos 💜, can really see your passion & knowledge into bath bombs.
Thank you 😊
💕
I am super excited Thank you so much
You are VERY welcome!
