Don't even insult him with that alternative rock crap. Don't forget what he did with Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog. Chris has a perfect hard rock, metal, folk, blues voice and he could be part of any other sub genre. He had the greatest voice in all of Rock!

I love the album Revelations especially this title track here and then the two closing tunes. I especially like the way Nothing Left To Do But Say goodbye bled into the next song which was Moth.

besides the first one, which took me 1 month to buy, im with you there. bought the other 2 on the very first day it was possible. It turned out to be my favorite band ever. Miss them all. and pains me to know chris is gone.

Chris Cornell is one of the most talented vocalists to grace us and its not even considered or rated right there amongst the other distinguished vocalists. Curt Cobain is brilliant but not the most iconic vocalists for a leader singer to posses. Chris Cornell does and he isnt even on the list.

I am having the best vacation in my life. I awakened about a month ago from a severe decade long depression. Over the years I have purchased all Audioslave albums. but have never listened to them. This time off I am listening and listening. I cannot believe I have missed out, but now I get to catch up - hours and hours of listening pleasure! Lucky me!

I think it's beautiful how the band had to calm down their normal punk style of playing to let Chris's voice shine. Seen an interview with Tom talking about it. They had to restrain themselves and go down to simple cords to work with Chris acknowledging his beautiful voice and let him work his magic and shine, that his voice is what made the songs.

Chris was awsome in all those bands and in solo. Both bands were 2 of my favourites bands of alltime. They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I agree with Chris and I think that he is not valued as he deserves it, great and legendary bands from previous years are highly valued.
But put aside the 90's, Chris, Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, they deserve much more.
Chris was magic, strength, energy, he transformed everything he touched into something much better, a shame to lose him. He was a wonderful and giant Artist, time will leave him in the place he deserves.

Cornell's voice is one of a kind. Obviously only one like it in the history of recorded music. In a world full of imitators his stands along in both vocal prowess and depth of emotional conveyance in his lyrics. Backed by the super-talented remnants of Rage..there's only one word to describe them..

Their lyrics were hated by a ton of critics at the times of the second and third album releases. I never saw why. I thought they nailed everything they did and on every facet.
