For real all videos I've seen of a srt10 racing they always need a drivers mod most of the time they don't know how to drive there own car that's honestly kinda pathetic having a racing or sport truck/car for years and never raced it I can understand now cause it's a collectible truck now but in ita prime time never raced it on the track or street and had owned it for years is kinda weird cause why buy something that's meant to be driven fast and in races and you don't do that unless you knew that you were just going to keep it as an investment
IF anything is done to the SRT10, I doubt that it's much. (i.e. Aftermarket intake & etc.) What it's called is, "somebody actually knows how to finally drive a 500+ hp truck".

Dodge is actually really smart business wise coming out with a high performance sedan to gear it to the market of people who have family's that still want to have a fast and fun car that is still practical for there family's need's because a coupe will not work. I think that is time for a new SVT Lightning F-150 and a new Ram SRT-10 (They could use the Hellcat V8 but that engine doesn't has the "panache" of the Viper V10)

Was ur dads a quad cab?The quad is slower, if it was a regular cab like mine then who is behind the wheel makes a big differnce.I ran my gears out to the right RPM's shifted quickly w/no hesitation between gear's.These are fast trucks but if they are'nt driven exactly right then inferior performing car's will win and its as simple as that.
have you ever ride a chrysler 300c full luxury car with supercharger 654hp probably no!!! for sure it is not a japan 2jz engine or civic turbo but you are very comfortable and you have the power it take for funny drive! i have the 5.7l 12psi boost water/alcohol gear 3.55,exhaust etc.546rwhp 530rwtq with stock engine!!!
I have an 06 SRT-10 and the only complaint I have about it is that shifing between gears is like having the same distance in shifting from earth to the moon. Dodge should of made it shorter like the VW's have it. Other than that, I LOVE my SRT-10!
Lol maybe. I only had one true race which was like two weeks ago. Some 14 camaro Ss and with the mods I have on it I lefted it by 4 to 5 cars on a 65 roll not even 1/8 of a mile . I was pretty surprised myself haha, but that srt10 ain't no joke.
DANG. There's a car dealer near me that's selling a Srt10 for $19,900. What makes it so damn difficult to ignore, is that it has a giant supercharger mated to its Viper engine. I haven't inquired, but at the very least, I'm speculating that thing is churning out about 650hp, ...maybe more?? Check it out at "speedsports . net," and go to the Dodge pre-owned section, before its gone. You'll see what I'm talkin about. Sad, that I could afford the payments, but not the gas.
Charger SRT-8 was rated by dodge and several other sources to do 0-60 in the high 4 second range, motor trend tested one they say they got it down to 4.3 sec. wikipedia says the Ram SRT-10 can do 0-60 at 4.9, other sites say around 5.1 sec. The srt-8 I raced is stock, my truck is lightly modified. The video speaks for its self!!! Oh and the Viper is in the mid 2 sec. range...f.y.i. lol
ours was a quad cab and we have been at the track many times before that but the gears weren't tuned ither sine it was fairly new at the time so that's most likely why

The guy I bought mine from put a B and M shiter in it and my gear's are super close together, on mine its very easy to miss a gear because they are so close together.
Yes it's worse. I've always said to those that want one that if you're in a gas budget, this truck will only give you a chance to take it out once a month just for a few miles. Gas here in California is around $4.25/gal for Super Unleaded, which is the only gas it can use. It has a 26 gal. tank. If you do the math $4.25 X 26 = $110.50. At about 10 mi/gal. and if you're girlfriend lives 20 mi from you, that's $17.00 just to go see her for the day. If you have a lead foot, like me, then it's more.
Put the same on the charger youl get a completely different result! Im suprised you won actually! My old man had one that had an intake and diablo chip but in the 1/4 we couldn't take the an 07 str 8 charger much less a 2012 with more power!
The 06-08 SRT-8 had a 6.1 liter engine with 50 LESS H.P. vs the new 6.4 engine with 470 H.P. The one I raced has a 6 speed.... The 8 speed's are only on the v-6 charger's.
DO IT!!! You will love these truck's! The 4 door's are a little slower they weigh more and have a 4 speed auto transmission instead of the single cab having a 6 speed manuel. fun truck's either way!

The guy I bought mine from put a B and M shiter in it and my gear's are super close together, on mine its very easy to miss a gear because they are so close together.
They have close ratio shifter stock. No need to get any closer.
