    Couple of corrections that have been pointed out by you helpful people in the comments:
    1- Hand Arts all have the brave effect except Initiate and Shield Art, that's my bad, the description is inconsistent across them all so just a heads up!
    2- The price required to upgrade from the first tier to the final tier is NOT added with each step, what you see on the final step is the TOTAL. Sorry for the confusion!

      Extra tip for new players: Most weapons become available to buy in the mid game. Not sure the exact chapter. You may be better off saving your iron/steel/silver on upgrading to +1/2/3/4/5 then going from steel to silver or most special weapons. Special weapons like the Wyrmadon / Levin Sword.
      I made a wyrmadon early using my only 2 silver to go from steel to silver to wydmadon thinking it would be a great investment. I wanted it for the Tiki DLC map and it was helpful. But didn't use it again until I could buy the weapon at the shop anyways.

      You said it takes 37 silver to make a +5 silver upgrade, but that's only if you go one level at a time. It'd be better to just jump straight into +5 and only spend 20 silver.

    Weapons are not as expensive to max as you think.
    The weapon material costs are not displayed in increments. The cost of a +5 already includes the material costs of previous levels. If you go +1 the cost of all other levels will reduce accordingly.

      Gold in this game unless you cheat and fast forward your switch clock to grind paralogues is probably the only part I find that makes smiting too expensive early game. Using gold without cheating to Smith or buying and wasting seals carelessly is an easy way to softlock your progress even on normal mode unless again you cheat lol.

    The dogs fur determines the type of ingot found.
    From the first areas of the game the normal dog always finds iron, the white dog always finds steel and the black dogs always find silver. And this is after every battle for the most part, including paralogues and skirmishes. Take advantage.

    • @Naticus
      @Naticus Рік тому +66

      I have an assortment of regular, white, and black dogs grazing, and I can tell you some correct info. The regular dog finds iron most of the time, but can indeed find steel and silver every once in awhile. The white dog finds steel more often than the regular dog, but can still finds iron more often than steel, and silver sometimes. And the black dog finds silver more often than the first two dogs, but still finds iron and steel more often than silver.

      As an extra side note, silver is the best item for these dogs to find because you can trade one piece of silver in for either 90 pieces of iron or 9 pieces of steel. Since silver isn't really used until later this is far more reliable than the drops from skirmishes

    • @andrewjones1395
      @andrewjones1395 Рік тому +2

      Glad to see everyone reaching the same conclusion here, I thought brown/white/black did give unique drops, until one time I needed Iron and literally only got silver from my 5 dogs, only 2 were black. At that point, I figured it might be more likely to just say dogs give ores, not specifically iron/steel/silver.

    It's a little sad that some the more out there and unique refines and upgrades from SoV like the Rhomphia, Saurion, or Ilwoon didn't made it in. Most of the weapon lines are pretty uninteresting mostly consisting of Iron, Steel, Silver, Brave with magic and killing branches. Daggers, Tomes, and fists got the worst of it in terms of creative forging.

    • @conorb.1901
      @conorb.1901 Рік тому +2

      To be fair, some of the more unique weapons from SoV were kinda lackluster. Using Rhomphia for example, it's practically a strict downgrade from its source weapon the Ridersbane for most of the game. The real standouts in SoV are the Killer Bow and the Rapier.
      That said, I do like the weapon evolution system they've got here.

    Something to note about the martial arts weapons is that their damage is based on half of strength and magic combined. Usually, weapons are either strength only or magic only. Magic weapons like Levin Sword are magic only. So, if you think emblem/bond rings that give both strength and magic are kind of lacking, you can put them on a martial arts user to leverage both stats. Any might bonuses help since most of the martial arts weapons are brave effects. Gets crazy when you hit people 4-8x in a row.

    I hope somebody finds this helpful.
    The video stated it takes 38 Silver to get a Silver Sword from base to +5 by totaling up 1+2+5+10+20 for each step.
    This is not correct. 20 is the number of silver it takes to go directly from a Silver Sword to a Silver Sword +5. Same with the other materials and gold.
    Think of it this way: A Silver Sword +5 is a Silver Sword that contains 20 pieces of Silver. A Silver Sword +3 is a Silver Sword that contains 5 Pieces of Silver. So to make a Silver Sword +3 into a Silver Sword +5 requires adding 15 more pieces of silver, since it already has 5.
    The game uses this interface pretty consistently throughout the game. You can see this in the arena raising bond levels, or using SP to purchase Emblem skills. Speed+1 I think costs 100SP. Speed +2 costs 200SP. But if you have speed +1 already, it will only cost an additional 100SP to get speed +2.

    Your videos a finely made but you really gotta work on your info. You are spouting some misinformation at some weird points. For example in your Anna video you tried to stack the luck +12 inherited skill with with the +12 from the ring but only got +8. That’s because inherited and ring skills that are the same don’t stack so it gave you the +8 from the ring since it was the optimum setup. And then in this video, find this one more egregious, as you said it would take like 38 silver ingots to max out a specific weapon. That’s not what happens at all if you do a partial upgrade it removes any ingots used for that from higher upgrades. Also the arts almost all day they attack twice besides the initiate. Again your videos are good you just should double check your info.

    • @LinkKing7
      @LinkKing7  Рік тому

      They DO stack, I've tested this myself. There is a limit to how much blue stats you can have on your unit, and it's +20 in each stat. If you don't believe me try it yourself. Go use Eirika at bond 10 who gives +10, and then use the Luck +12, the Eirika ring will only give you +8.
      Yeah, the ingots mistake was my bad, and I corrected that in the pinned comment.

I've tried using them and I feel like using them to attack is far too risky with the speed cap being 40s to 50s that its honestly not worth it when enemies are set to always attack first when you're using smash weapons. The only possible exception I can think of where smash could be used offensively is if tempest trial augments on rival weapons works to boost evasion and even then I'm not 100% that's worth it.

    shield fists turned my Framme from a healer into a heavy armor in the relay trials. she literally was the only reason i finished a three map trial with my sanity in tact. my heavy ended up getting one shot by mage i didn't account for properly so framme had to take up the job and it was much more effective than i imagined since her defense stats aren't too bad anyways. add that i gave her tiki for emblem bracelet and i had a tank that blasted up to 4 enemies at a time.

    I'm a few days late, but I did want to point out that it's completely possible to use forging in order to get a Bolganone and Thoron tome before chapter 9. They only cost a total of 200 Iron 20 Steel and 1 Silver each (plus 4k gold). It is absolutely worth it, because you can auto promote Citrinne after chapter 7 and she can use both at that point. This is easily the best thing to focus on in Maddening first since it's just so useful.

    Spend your gold to max out investment to lv5 for each region, because it will spawn gold corrupted enemies which gives you more gold in return, as well as MULTIPLY Resource gains several times over, like Bond Fragments which is vital for upgrading and reducing the grind in some sense if you want to make S ranked Bond Rings.

    • @LinkKing7
      @LinkKing7  Рік тому +1

      The only region I would consider maxing is brodia. The corrupted enemies don't really give a lot of gold, and I'd rather just hold on to my gold and use it on weapons rather than have to grind for hours.
      There is a video by Choops on how to get S rank rigs easier, in my experience, you really don't need them and the bond rings you get are more than enough.

    • @LinkKing7
