Level has no impact on catching, the only things that matter is the species (catch rate), HP percentage, the type of ball and status conditons like sleep
My biggest irk with the character is the injustice they did to Ash with Goh........For twenty-five years, Ash was the main character, and during that whole twenty-five year span, not ONCE was he allowed to catch a *really* good Pokemon, like a legendary! See them? Yes. Interact with, and even ride on them? Yes. But the whole time, they argued that putting a legendary in Ash's team would make him too strong and a whole crapload of other similar reasons......And then, here comes Goh........Right off the bat, a few episodes in, and he catches himself a Suicune.........It'd be the equivalent of Ash catching Ho-oh at the start of his adventure! And, yet, *Buzzer sound.* Not allowed, 'cause Ash is a *novice* and we *can't* have him doing *that!* But Goh? No problemo!
i know i'm ten months late and all, but could. could i just point out? goh basically only captured suicune in spirit. it still roams freely, it barely comes to the park, and goh never uses it. he just. has its pokeball. the thing about ash catching a legendary, is that it'd need to be used in battle. cus' y'know, ash's a battler. but goh? goh has no such motivation, and i think that's exactly why he was allowed to catch it.
I personally dislike Go for the fact that, for all the Pokémon that they gave him, including some fan favorites, most of them serve no purpose beyond background fodder because they just exist to be a box to tick. Even with Project Mew, they introduced it far too late for him to make use of his Pokémon in interesting ways. Plus he’s had far too many handouts for my liking (highlights goes to Drizzile who Go had no part of training, and was shoved into a cave by not to give him a free final evolution and Grookey who was just attached to him like glue just cuz). With past characters, their Pokémon were actually interesting to watch and they earned what they got which made it rewarding to watch. With Go, it just feels like they turned on idle play and walked away
exactly, Goh has over character development, like you said he captured a lot of Pokemon in a few fan favorites, this is why even though I would like Ash to catch more Pokemon, I understand why they don't have him to, because Ash and his traveling companions Pokemon need character development, Goh is the very embodiment of what fans wanted Ash to be, Goh is basically too much fan service, it's why I like Chloe, she has the perfect amount of character development alongside her only Pokemon Eevee, sure after all this time when she hated people for assuming she was going to be a Pokemon professor she goes on to one to learn more about Pokemon evolution but that doesn't mean she wants to be a Pokemon professor like her dad, if people forget that one episode where she spends time with Chrysa, she said she wanted to be more like Chrysa, not like her father, even though I doubt they would replace Ash, if they do I would love for Chloe to be the one because there's so much potential for her to grow than for someone like Goh who like I said over character development.
@@Buzzwole0105 The problem there is such a goal doesn’t work within the anime, at least in the way that the writers handled it. In the games, completing the national dex is fine since Pokémon there are just bits of data that mostly will just sit in the player’s PC. With the anime however, every Pokémon that a character had caught in the past was treated as adding a new member to the cast, with each one having their own personality and at least some moments to shine. With Go, the Pokémon for the most part are treated by the writers as just things to be collected occasionally appearing in the background and, if they’re lucky, might get a 5 second usage from Go as a tool to solve an issue in an episode. Even Pokémon he actually bonded with in an episode like Cubone or Falinks we’re just flat out never used. There’s a world of difference between the treatment of Pokémon before and after Go. Now a way that Go’s goal could have worked would be if he captured Pokémon for the sake of research and released them while keeping some of them (a number that the writers could handle so they don’t just feel like background fodder and wouldn’t have the redundancy of having the entire evolutionary line) rather than them trying to just pack hundreds of Pokémon into Sakuragi Park. That way, we could have gotten focused growth with the Pokémon and their bonds with Go as their trainer rather than to only get the occasional scene of Go feeding them to show that he cares for them. In the end, a major problem with Go is that his goal is too ambitious for the anime
The biggest issue w/ Goh is that he doesn’t fit the established tropes of the anime. They made him into a similar trainer to Red in Pokémon Origins but with far less substance, because everyone knows who Red, it feeds immersion but in Goh’s case, they allowed a new trainer to catch more Pokémon than any other trainer in the entire known series. Ash has no galarian starters nor does he have a rookidee/ corviknight (which is strange since he has always had a flying type, albeit he now has a dragonite) and overall Goh is a narcissistic character who has prevented Ash from adding new Pokémon to his team. But overall I think the biggest flaw with his character is that they weren’t limited to the galar region & it made his goals too accessible and too ambitious without much effort. Had he only been restricted to catch the new galarian pokemon, and ended up with a prolonged dream much like the other trainers that accompanied ash, that takes place over several seasons, he wouldn’t be as terrible as he is now.
i actually still hate Goh, i do hate the GO catching mechanics in general and when the series began, i was afraid Goh was just that, the GO mechanics personified. and i was right. so in the beginning, i really didn't care for Goh and thought he was just generic at best. then he kinda started to grow on me when his personallity got fleshed out, but there was something holding me back from actually liking him. that's when the battle against articuno happened and it made it really clear for me why i still didn't like Goh and why i still hated him. it's because he's a newby and pretends he's a bigshot like Ash is. he uses tactics Ash uses as if it's his own tactics and when told not to be selfish, he acts out even more selfish. it just really rubbed me the wrong way and that's why i still hate Goh
I dislike Goh for a few reasons. First of all, they introduced Project Mew so late, which isn’t even that good of an arc. Gary truly is the savior of it. Secondly, catching fan favorites that people wanted ash to catch for YEARS (most notably Flygon and Absol, and Grookey) and barely using them in battle or to help out. Just left at the park to rot.
Goh as a character wasn't a problem with me I think he a good character he have that brother bond with ash like clement did in kalos I just didn't like how the writing for him was done and his character with the lack of development in the beginning I think when the galar arc stop that when his start start showing more development
Instead of Goh episodes , we could have some episodes of Ash hanging out with hes old pokemon, not just them staying there for a minute or two but some actual interactions. Like playing with them, taking care of them, training the younger pokemon and using the old in some battles to be a inspiration to the new ones, like hawlutcha and Noivern
I hate Goh because he is too perfect. He is a Mary Sue in everything. He never fails. He wants to catch a Pokémon in the episode he will. Even legendaries can’t put much of an effort against him. It isn’t only restricted to catching but also battling. He was a newbie trainer who in almost less than 40 episodes almost defeated Zapdos. Secondly even against Flygon Goh uses the Draco meteor climb which Ash had used in XY. There Ash had came up with that strategy and had practiced then it was possible. Here Goh pulls it off effortlessly. He even defeats that lady’s Milotic I don’t remember her name but she was Chairman Rose’s right hand and that too with 1 ember and 1 pyro ball. That moves aren’t even that effective but still Goh’s Pokémon tanks super effective Water pulse like it hardly even scratched it. Whatever he does he does it no problem. He never fails. The closest thing he came even near to failure was against the raid battle against Articuno. Everyone was in perfect sync but Goh cost them the match. That would’ve been perfect opportunity to let Goh fail but even then he was awarded points. Though it was less but he was awarded. Why? That could’ve been a lesson Goh could learn about teamwork otherwise how it could cost him. He shouldn’t have got any points but still he got and he can go ahead. If Ash had to learn a lesson he learns it a hard way. He gets destroyed in the battles, gets taunt about how weak he is. Goh never gets it. The makers treat him like that. He is the worst companion. I take it back. After Chloe he is the worst.
@@GameZone-ib7eu Cloe literalmente hace todo lo que le pides goh falla aprende experimenta cosas nuevas mejora como persona Mientras goh no hacé nada de eso
Goh is a solid character in my opinion, and i'm guessing you made this before Goh leaving. I love his relationship with Cinderace, and Goh's friendship with Ash. I definitely want to see him come up in later series of the anime, and show off his Pokemon. I hope Goh will be able to support Ash's battle against Leon, but overall, I think Goh is a good character that has a lot more potential.
I dislike goh because he took some away some of my favorite things from Pokemon and goh didn’t succeed in his goal so it just ended up being useless, he would be way better off as a side character as this was ash’s last series so ash should’ve gotten more spotlight, goh took have the attention even getting a full episode dedicated to him, stole all the galar started from ash, and was a big baby. He said “ no fair, I didn’t catch any Pokemon “in the episode when ash caught farfetch’d when goh was the one catching 50 Pokemon per episode. Sorry if your a fan of goh I just have a really strong opinion about him
Speaking of catching pokemon he doesn't even have good relationships with his pokemon, he only uses his cinderace and inteleon while other pokemon he caught that had dedicaded episode for example cubone, we never see them again. It could have been an interesting concept that instead of catching every pokemon he should just catch a few and then build a bond with them, even mewtwo said to him that will him catching every pokemon make him reach mew? Then I think he would get less hate but instead the ones that he caught are forever stuck in Serice park (which I would call being a prison at that point) Also it feels like team rocket is better at treating their pokemon right then Goh himself
@@ArgenPolmerica But they are criminals, at least they have the excuse of already being bad people and trying to jump a kid for 1000 episodes, Goh does the same and still thinks he is the Red of galar when he lives in kanto
All he did was catch level 5 pokemon and he was always jealous of ash(example the time when ash caught gengar). He also didn’t watch ash’,s final match vs Leon to go and do something with project mew. This series would have done just fine if goh wasn’t in it. I didn’t watch the first journeys season because I couldn’t stand goh.
No one can replace Brock People hate goh beacuse of catching Pokemon with out battle I also hate goh beacuse of worst catching and worst dream But he can be a good friend And a killer of ash dream to become a Pokemon master by giving Eternatus to Leon😁
I really hate Goh becuAse it took ash 20plus years to catch his first mythical and ultra beast naganadel and melmetal but Goh on his first journey has caught 2 legendaries regieleki and suicune and gave one away which was eternatus.he also catches so Pokemon which unlike ash creates no bond with most of them however ash creates a bond with every single one .and Goh is a all round bad character
At the start I'm fine with him but when he mentioned his mission, I didn't like him. The more the series progresses, the more my hate for him builds up.
I don't like Goh due to his personality I just find him annoying he doesn't help out Ash at all when it comes to his battles, Goh pokemon cheer on Ash more than Goh has also he is a new starter trainer which makes him useless but just to be a tag along and also since he is a starter it does not make sense that he going on a research mission to catch Mew you would think a more experienced trainer would be better for the job
If Goh is annoying then Ash should be more annoying according to your logic. Ash is an Extrovert while Goh feels more like an Ambivert due to how easy going he is compared to Ash hyper personality.
I see a lot of myself in Goh. Goh's speech to Drissile. I've never been able to put that into words and he did it perfectly. I'm not much of a fighter in the pokémon games and spend most of the time just filling the dex. People say that he's some heartless trainer who doesn't pay any attention to the pokémon he catches when there has been several episodes about him spending time with them, not to mention the amount of times it's been hinted off screen. Is he perfect? No, nobody's perfect, and although he's a favorite character of mine that I can relate a ton too, he's not the best character, but I wouldn't consider him the worst.
Goh's character is fine and is pretty unique vs most of Ash's companions, however the way he was written in Journeys made him very annoying to me cause his feats don't feel believable due to not having proper character development from how he started as a very novice pokemon trainer. He sidelines Ash way more than any other previous companions, heck even more so than the ones in Alola ironically, and that was very weird considering how long we followed Ash's journey where he was always the main focus while his friends supported him cause they decided to tag along on his adventures. The dual protagonist thing that they were going for just didn't work out well at all, and imo wasted so much potential of this nostalgic world traveling saga for Ash being the best in the series for long time fans.
Mew is literally the mother of all the Pokémons in the story. All the Pokémons kind of came from it. It's on par with Arceus, and this idiot of a poor marketing tool is trying to catch it. It would amount to something like blasphemy in the real world.
In my opinion, Goh has grown on me with time and I think now he's pretty good. I like how his goal is different, the relationships with his pokemon, the slight rivalry with Gary and how he supports Ash and is a good friend. I think the community was slightly harsh at the beginning because we didn't know much about him but I totally agree about using him as a marketing tool. Less about my opinion, keep up the great work on the videos!
@@SullivanDLuffy no way u are serious how is he amazing when just like this video said he literally just catches anything without effort even caught a freaking legendary pokemon which was supposed to be impossible i mean legendary pokemons are like gods of pokemon in a sense and goh just caught it because he helped it like bruh there's no fun watching that they made legendary seem like common unlike back then it actually felt like legendary pokemon were a discovery but this series they just made goh's normal pokeballs like master balls
@@-_-3776 I know I'm 5 months late, but my guy you say that he captured a legendary when in reality he only has the poke ball, not the pokemon, hmm... who else had a poke ball of a legendary pokemon but not the pokemon itself... ah yeah the guy from scarlet who had the poke ball of koraidon dumb gut
For me, it is the constant catching that got me to dislike him, before meeting a pokemon in the anime was either a monster of the week deal, or if they were intended to be captured, you'd see work and effort put into them so we'd want to watch our heroes with these pokemon. Goh was just "oh hey this pokemon blinked at me, ima throw a ball at it" then forget almost every single one! Hell I think even Serebii stopped adding when goh got a pokemon on their site it got so old... It just wasn't fun to see him do this over and over. And it somehow was worse than Iris' anime incarnation being a bitch in her own series and solving all her problems offscreen. overall, Journeys for me was a terrible way to end Ash' Journey... And I'm Glad Horizons went with a whole new original story.
I really don't like goh not really because of his goal, I mean really am not too fond of this downgrade for catching pokemon. But the thing that I hate is how he is breaking rules that he enforces on Team rocket, and how no one ever tackled how he was getting offended and nearly abandoned raboot just because he didnt take his shit. The anime tried to teach good lessons to the audience before and now they are failing to do so.
He abandoned Raboot because he saw how much more energy it had with the dance group, so he assumed that it would be happier if it was in that environment as opposed to with him. He realized his fault and Raboot proved him wrong shortly after
I'm sorry I know that there are some really good things about Goh, but the bad things just out way the good. I didn't like Goh from the beginning as he was justing a marketing champagne, he made catching Pokemon boring and easily catching strong Pokemon even though he was a beginning trainer, giving ash advice on battling which is just a slap in the face for all of the years Ash has been in the anime, he took up too many early episodes on just him catching Pokemon instead of focussing on Ash's battles or developing Ash's new Pokemon, every Goh episode completely focussed on Goh, but almost every Ash episode Goh didn't something like catching a Pokemon or doing something no one else could, also they just shafted most of his Pokemon, Drizzile did nothing to get it's final evolution (didn't even help with that either), Grookey was just stuck to his shoulder cause why not (Ash should of had one of these two starters, specifically Grookey cause then it would have done stuff) and I thought for a while he would replace Ash (thankfully that didn't come true).
Goh was kinda interesting in 20 episodes, but then they have activated for him 100% catch rate cheat code, and he went totally unrealistic. It's a good example of bad writing, and planning can destroy the character, and they have really quickly cut him off at the end of this generation (he could be back as a main cast, but it's less then 1%).
Eh, I’m not to upset about that considering that catching Pokémon like that is pretty easy in the actual games lol, I was running around throughout all of Gen 8/Sword and Shield and just throwing one ball to catch anything, it was that easy.
I like Goh for one simple reason, he's a realistic depiction of the average Pokémon player, one who's main goal is to get every Pokémon, for real, if you put me in pokemon, my main goal will be to get them all like Goh, I'm not going to lie
I love Goh, he’s kinda like me in a way. Introverted but fierce at the same time! He’s quite funny and I love his Japanese and English voices! The VA’a did an awesome job! I like how Goh interacted with his Pokémon! I personally have little issue with how easy he caught Pokémon, because to be fair, I think Ash caught most of his Pokémon in a singular Poké Ball. Also, Goh battled some Pokémon or struggled from time to time. I like how him and Ash kinda were glued to each, and when Ash was down, he lifted him up! Goh’s also very smart since he was alone growing up and spent his time on his devices. He seems adaptable! :))
Also, for those pressed about the Legendaries he’s caught, those were just right time right place moments. Suicune was badly effected by the poachers, his Poké Ball was used by Eternatus, and Regieleki (if he caught that?) was part of the Project Mew mission!
@@Naps_lot Bro is commenting this under anyone and everyone’s replies 💀💀💀 literally sort the comments to newest first and look for any with a reply I guarantee you it’s this mf
Goh: yeah i started being a pokemon trainer 3 days ago Some random person: oh howmuch pokemon do you have Goh: oh i completed half the pokedex plus i catched suicune regieleki and the most powerful pokemon ever named eternatus
I am on the fence with Goh, he had a chance with his goal and I didn't mind he wanted to catch them all. Especially because I thought a good way to reduce or remove traditional filler would be by having the episodes which would've been filler, be the ones focused on the main lab and Goh's Pokemon getting up to mischief or going through the day-by-day life. His backstory also made me believe he'd be a 'catch 'em all' companion, his isolation from working parents made him crave social interaction. But the reasons I can't like him is because the execution of his character did not fulfil any sort of direction set up. I could've seen him start on a 'catch 'em all' but grow to learn the fewer friends he had, the more each mattered. I kinda started noticing his hiccups when they gave him Suicune and at that point, he stepped aside to let Ash be the protagonist again. For me, he is the companion who screams, mispotential
*I hate GOH lyk anything!!!* *I've always admired Ash as The Brave Guy as the one with Head High leadership quality but now it all feels like Ash goes just behind Goh...Goh is the one who takes the decision for both of them...The main protagonist of the show and Ash as his side kick...It just doesn't make me feel bad but irritates me beyond the extreme point!!!*
Goh shouldn’t be hated I mean yes his main goal is to catch every Pokémon that exists especially Mew which is awesome but the problem for many viewers is that he doesn’t really work for it. He hardly battles let alone trains with his own Pokémon but in saying this it’s not his fault and it’s the same with Chloe. People tend to forget that these aren’t real characters even though Ash feels real considering we’ve watched and known him onscreen for like 20+ years which is understandable but truly the writers are at fault for how they presented Goh and Chloe during this series and I just find it funny how much people hate characters that don’t even exist it’s like they want murder them or something which is super crazy 🙄🤣
Goh alone turned me off from the Pokémon journey show. He literally outclasses *everyone* in the Pokémon anime but catching Pokémon without any battling or effort. He steals the spotlight from Ash Ketchum constantly and he doesn't struggle as much as him. Then again, I wasn't really fond of the new characters anyway. And I found Chloe to be too rude at times. I thought she was going to be traveling with them and she stays at the professor's office most of the time. But yeah, Goh is a bit of a Gary Stu. It feels more like his show than Ash's a lot of the time. Although, the modern anime era hasn't been appealing to me since XY. Ever since they changed Ash Ketchum's personality. Turning him from a hot-headed, sassy, yet determined and caring kid that never gives up into a clueless, happy go lucky dork. But, that's just me.
XY anime was awesome, and honestly? I half expected to be some blood or deaths somewhere because that was THAT good. I almost forgot it was still a show for kids at heart
I've actually loved Goh this whole series Imao ❤️ I adore his friendship with Ash, because it's just the two of them, Ash seems quite close to him 💗 (in my opinion) 💗 I know obviously, that the way he catches Pokemon is a bit easy but, they had to progress him SOMEHOW 😅💓 This was a great video! Im glad that you stated to like him better, as he is basically my favourite travelling companion of Ash's ngl 💕😌
Catching a ton of Pokémon and not using them does not mean progressing him catching Pokémon too easily and not caring a flying thing abt them is annoying lol however I do get why u like him based on his relationships but still the way he catches stuff is annoying
Goh is the worst character in the anime by FAR. The writers essentially gave him god like powers, he catches almost every Pokemon one shot and they gave him all the good Pokemon like Flygon, Golurk, Aerodactyl and many others including legends, then they gave him knowledge and battling abilities in his first year of training that others have taken almost a lifetime to achieve. To sum it up he is a cheat character that makes the already silly anime even more so just to promote the even shittier Pokemon Go.
He would try though, he got bodied by mew when he met it and he had 4 other much more powerful and competent trainers with him and still lose, ash wouldn’t fight them but somehow earn their trust, heck in one movie he calmed the Pokemon equivalent to the devil when a girl whose power literally allows her to talk to a Pokémon’s ‘heart’ and got ‘smack’ out by giratina’s rage
The reason I hate is that he has 2 legends and he took to much spotlight and he got all 3 starter and breaking the ash ketchum using at least one starter in every region
I still hate Goh because it's the episode where he caught Grookey and really frustrated me of why he caught and it's one of the past I really wish I could forget it all happen
I think that it's semi canon that he likes Ash, because of all the times he gets flustered, but it's kinda irrelevant because Ash obviously doesn't think of him the same way.
Personally, I've disliked Goh due to having little character development aside his friendship with Horace and Project Mew and being slightly annoying. In comparison, Chloe had much better character development along with a more understandable goal of trying to find her purpose and having a better personality.
The thing i dislike about Goh, is how his Cinderace and Inteleon didnt get much spotlight, after he caught Grookey. It took all the spotlight. But the worst thing EVER about Goh, is how when he had Mew in the palm of his hand. HE DIDNT BOTHER CATCHING IT :/
Goh is a good character, funny and supportive but my opinion is that he's kinda annoying and the reason is that he's the only one who catches good pokemon and when i saw he got all three starters of galar I got pissed, why Goh should get all the, why not letting Ash getting one for his team
@@covespringskids i am only jelous for ash bcs goh catching legendary pokemons like rattata it makes me angry bcs my boy ash has 0 legendary pokemon how is he not jelous
I really like Goh for the simple reason of him being a great friend with Ash. I personally feel like they have one of if not the best chemistry with each other than any of his other companions. Granted it helps that it’s mainly just the 2 of them so that helps.
YES they honestly have the best relationship out of all the companions Ash is so comfortable with him and jokes around with him, comforts him, cheers him on and vise versa it's so refreshing to see! I genuinely don't think I've seen Ash this happy with any other companion other than Goh
The problem with Goh's character is not that he is new, it is not that he is not an interesting character, but that he knows everything and knows everything better. Of course, if you look at the pokemon slogan "get them all" here, it's set in stone. With the character itself, the main problem is that he was not introduced properly, and we don't really know exactly where he wants to go on his way. Because the mew mission sounded more like an alibi than a full-fledged goal. He caught a pokemon in every copper which is great I'm happy BUT legendary pokemons... Here I think a lot of fans who have played ANY part of the pokemon games know that catching 1 legendary pokemon is a BIG DEAL. There was no time dedicated to this, and it was not justified. (In contrast to Ash, who would have done well with a legendary pokemon) I'll be honest, I don't hate Goh's character, although there is a reason. I put it down to the laziness of the writers and the fact that they didn't have a better idea to promote pokemon go. :D Because it was a concentrated promo for pokemon go, no doubt about it. I watched it, the series left a bad taste in my mouth, but there were interesting battles, and also Gary Oak returned, for an episode or two. (I quietly add that if this was Ash's last adventure, they really could have made Gary a traveling companion, which I think many fans would have really liked.) We saw so many exciting regions and pokemon, but there was a lot of damage to the Galar region, which I don't understand. Sure, could it have been better? Of course it could have been, in fact, I dare to risk that the series also contributed to the experience of the Scarlet and Violet video game. But I really like that region. But the Horizon anime has given me a new and very pleasing new feeling. AND FINALLY IT'S NOT ABOUT ASH.
bro caught a suicune and never used it, bro caught the most legendaries of all of ash's travel partners and they were just background characters he nit a trainer hes way less mature than ash you can see the mental age disparities hes annoying and now i have to losten to his voice in every pokedex in horizons because he became a pokemon professor
i do not hate Goh and personal semi use Less Chloe Cerise her self need two be come mew and be come one of Goh pokemon the only time of where A human who be come A pokemon that need two be caught in side of A poke ball of any kind
Goh is just a marketing campaign in the anime, which made me kind of annoyed since he caught Pokémon with such ease despite just starting out. He also never developed any actual relationships with most of the Pokémon he caught due to the difference in pacing compared to Ash.
Honestly speaking, I tolerated Goh for a while. I only started disliking him after he caught that freaking Suicune. It just felt so unearned, like watching a mini Tobias, except that he was not interested in battling
I dislike Goh for a few reasons. One the Pokemon writers wrote him like a Mary Sue/Gary stu. He's got everything handed to him on a silver platter. Catches all the cool Pokemon on the first attempt without battling them, can carry more than 6 Pokemon on his team at a time even though that logic never applied to anyone before on Pokemon, has more focus than Ash with little to no setup. Like he's just there and we barely knew anything about him but was already made to look like the next main protagonist. He's definitely got a few positives about him. He's a nice guy and all but overall his goal and his habit of just catching random Pokemon and then doing nothing with 99% of them make for an awful character. We don't get to know any of his Pokemon.
Sometimes I feel like they just made goh so ash would have no galar starters, If I rewrote pokemon, ash catches grookey and sobble, fully evolving both of them into inteleon and rillaboom Edit: Im not hating on him, I’m just sharing my opinion if you guys don’t like it ignore my comment
I think they Goh should of had his own series instead of being in a official piece of media, it would make people hate Goh less. Because Goh is basically a Pokémon Go character and he should stay in his lane, like in a different series lol. Ya sense Goh was added to the series it just created a bunch of plot holes, especially on catching Pokémon. Because people in the anime actually battle the Pokémon before catching it, or befriend the Pokémon they actually wanted on their team or just to have as a pet. Pokémon Go animation episodes sounds kinda eh but would be interesting. If Goh had his own spinoff series in a different universe, no one wouldn't had hated him so much.
Goh Sucks tbh since how the heck he is able to catch pokemon easily shouldnt he battle them first since dont pokemon fights back since I find that bullcrap thats why I hate journeys and also this series has way too much filler
4:08 Goh is like an other Ash I mean not by his role in anime but by character design also Sometimes I find it fun watching goh capture a literal lineup like "All Kanto Bug-typee" But How Fillerish the episodes feel when he do that is a problem tho Aswell as his dream is wild and he acts gay are the cons tho
Idk what's wrong with catching wild pokemons that are in front of you,i sometimes hated when there's a cool wild pokemon in the anime but ash or someone didn't catch 'em, so with Goh that's no longer a thing
Because ash respects those Pokémon’s wishes, he’s not Tobias did we want him to catch them yes, but ash also sees that they like their home or understand a that they have a better cause being where they are than with him, do you really think he wanted to release his Pokemon when he did? Despite how he acts ash has a good sense of responsibility cares about what Pokemon think, goh only caught suicune to protect it and you saw how it acted when it learned that goh nearly beret it of it’s purpose in protecting the Pokemon, catching suicune was gohs first thought to protect it, ash would have risked his life to free it before even thinking about catching it to protect it, goh wanted to catch suicune anyway while ash befriends Pokemon first and lets them decide, almost all ash’s Pokemon had a choice to join
Honestly i think Goh has the biggest and my personal favorite personality in the entirety of Pokemon. That fact that he's probably gotten more emotional time in this series than Ash has in the entirety of Pokemon. He's also a funny character who can get flustered easily, he admires and looks up to Ash, he can be cold and arrogant at times but that's realistic, everybody has flaws. And if you hate on me for liking him then whatever. He's honestly a great character, it's fine to have your own opinion though, I'm probably not going to change your mind. And I respect that.
Umm dude I have no complaints but honestly if I was at his place I would of done the same thing because battling in front of everyone would make me shy and also can u make us a video why rabbit was ignoring him
Hello Gooey448. I also love Goomy, Sligoo and Goodra which means we are enemies. You are my worst rival and I will surpass you. I ToOmY will defeat you one day. All respect though.
I personally love Goh, he's sweet to the pokemon and his friends. Yes, i know he took over Ash's screentime, but he has developed alot throughout the series. He's also funny and inspirational in my opinion. A random thing: Honestly, I think he's gay. You see, he always blushes at Ash. I forgot what episode this is but he asked Ash: Can i be your friend?! So Ash said: Aren't we already friend's? The way he blushed at that was crazy. If I'm really throwing my opinion out there, i kinda ship Ash and Goh. More random things: I used to simp like hell for Goh 😭(still kinda do lol)
This kid is just insufferable. First episode he's a know all Second episode he's so cocky and annoying Third episode he's just a prick to Ash. He's such a terrible friend and character
Nah. Absolutely nah.... That is a bad marketing tool. The story was already declining after 6th gen. I thought it was finally back, but the company disappointed
Throws pokeball at full health high level pokemon, catches
Me throw ultra ball at 1 hp level 1 rattata , it breaks out
Lol
Level has no impact on catching, the only things that matter is the species (catch rate), HP percentage, the type of ball and status conditons like sleep

@@gooey448 the anime is vastly different from the game so...
Now ash knows how hou feels after being robbed of a victory.
@@wyawardclownI like your reasoning but either way him catching everything with no effort is already enough to hate his character. He's a Gary Stew
The reason why he caught them is because he want to get every single Pokémon what no one else was going to do
@@Buzzwole0105 The problem there is such a goal doesn’t work within the anime, at least in the way that the writers handled it.
I mean, this man caught a froakie. That feels illegal.
stupid Gou midoriya toxic stan fan is here
The biggest issue w/ Goh is that he doesn’t fit the established tropes of the anime.

I hate the moments where Goh lectures Ash on how to fight

Goh as a character wasn't a problem with me I think he a good character he have that brother bond with ash like clement did in kalos I just didn't like how the writing for him was done and his character with the lack of development in the beginning I think when the galar arc stop that when his start start showing more development

Instead of Goh episodes , we could have some episodes of Ash hanging out with hes old pokemon, not just them staying there for a minute or two but some actual interactions.
Like playing with them, taking care of them, training the younger pokemon and using the old in some battles to be a inspiration to the new ones, like hawlutcha and Noivern
The most interesting thing about gohu is that if they removed it, the anime would not lose anything

Maybe in past series but not in journeys they for the most part don’t even have their own Pokemon and there’s also the time they abused Pelipper.

Completely agree with you on that
If Goh is annoying then Ash should be more annoying according to your logic.

I love goh so so much though and I liked watching him catch Pokémon and do what he did best!!!!
Goh is not the most hated character in Pokémon, the title is misleading, I’ve seen other companions receive much more hate than him.
Gou is a piece of garbage that's trying to catch Mew. Ash has a bigger chance to become World monarch than Gou catching Mew.

Straight up worst… down fall of Pokémon nothing can change that
In my opinion, Goh has grown on me with time and I think now he's pretty good. I like how his goal is different, the relationships with his pokemon, the slight rivalry with Gary and how he supports Ash and is a good friend.
Didn’t Ash do the same thing in Pikachu’s Goodbye ?
The main reason I skipped journeys was this character
And seems like I didn't miss anything important, glad he's gone and I hope he never returns
how do you hate goh but didn't even watch the thing lmao
Goh was kinda interesting in 20 episodes, but then they have activated for him 100% catch rate cheat code, and he went totally unrealistic. It's a good example of bad writing, and planning can destroy the character, and they have really quickly cut him off at the end of this generation (he could be back as a main cast, but it's less then 1%).
Eh, I’m not to upset about that considering that catching Pokémon like that is pretty easy in the actual games lol, I was running around throughout all of Gen 8/Sword and Shield and just throwing one ball to catch anything, it was that easy.

You gotta remember tho, Goh's dream is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE he's not catching God and he surely isn't catching all 308 forms of Spinda

I really like Goh for the simple reason of him being a great friend with Ash. I personally feel like they have one of if not the best chemistry with each other than any of his other companions. Granted it helps that it’s mainly just the 2 of them so that helps.
Same, I think him and Ash are real close :)

YES they honestly have the best relationship out of all the companions Ash is so comfortable with him and jokes around with him, comforts him, cheers him on and vise versa it's so refreshing to see! I genuinely don't think I've seen Ash this happy with any other companion other than Goh

BEST COMMENT I'VE READ ALL DAY
LITERALLY MY OPINION SUMMARIZED
(In contrast to Ash, who would have done well with a legendary pokemon)
I'll be honest, I don't hate Goh's character, although there is a reason. I put it down to the laziness of the writers and the fact that they didn't have a better idea to promote pokemon go. :D
Because it was a concentrated promo for pokemon go, no doubt about it.
I watched it, the series left a bad taste in my mouth, but there were interesting battles, and also Gary Oak returned, for an episode or two.
(I quietly add that if this was Ash's last adventure, they really could have made Gary a traveling companion, which I think many fans would have really liked.)
We saw so many exciting regions and pokemon, but there was a lot of damage to the Galar region, which I don't understand.
Sure, could it have been better? Of course it could have been, in fact, I dare to risk that the series also contributed to the experience of the Scarlet and Violet video game.
But I really like that region.
But the Horizon anime has given me a new and very pleasing new feeling.
AND FINALLY IT'S NOT ABOUT ASH.
bro caught a suicune and never used it, bro caught the most legendaries of all of ash's travel partners and they were just background characters
he nit a trainer
hes way less mature than ash you can see the mental age disparities
hes annoying and now i have to losten to his voice in every pokedex in horizons because he became a pokemon professor
I HATE GARY OAK
Pokémon Journeys sucks by GOH.
GOH is Tomiyasu's favorite character because he is precious.
We all hate goh

i do not hate Goh and personal semi use Less Chloe Cerise her self need two be come mew and be come one of Goh pokemon the only time of where A human who be come A pokemon that need two be caught in side of A poke ball of any kind
Goh is just a marketing campaign in the anime, which made me kind of annoyed since he caught Pokémon with such ease despite just starting out. He also never developed any actual relationships with most of the Pokémon he caught due to the difference in pacing compared to Ash.
What about the scorebunny? And the crying one? He created beautiful relationships with them and cry multiple times abt it.
Honestly speaking, I tolerated Goh for a while. I only started disliking him after he caught that freaking Suicune. It just felt so unearned, like watching a mini Tobias, except that he was not interested in battling
goh just is not good at battling which is a big no no for a ash buddie
The only thing I dislike about Goh is instead evolving most of his Pokémon he just catches it's evolve form
Goh I am biased because it was the Pokémon thing I watched and he is a good guy
Stupid Gou midoriya toxic stan fan is here
I like you because he is funny and smart
And that's the reason why he doesn't deserve to catch Alolan Ninetales since Ninetales is my favorite Pokemon.
Goh is awesome. His bitter haters can fume.
He's so awesome 😁
Sometimes I feel like they just made goh so ash would have no galar starters,
If I rewrote pokemon, ash catches grookey and sobble, fully evolving both of them into inteleon and rillaboom
Edit: Im not hating on him, I’m just sharing my opinion if you guys don’t like it ignore my comment
I hate Goh because he is so annoying he is basically trying to replace Ash
@@Mythicalstories7080 pokemon lets go games:
Also just skip the filler its not that hard man
I LOVE GOH
He catches every pokemon from forest and keep them in his garden thats frustates me more
Honestly i think Goh has the biggest and my personal favorite personality in the entirety of Pokemon.
You forgot the fact that he acts Gay
And that's good 😊
The main reason I like Goh, is his design.
He's so cute
Zesty design
I like Goh because he's fresh

Umm dude I have no complaints but honestly if I was at his place I would of done the same thing because battling in front of everyone would make me shy and also can u make us a video why rabbit was ignoring him
It bothers me too that it's used for marketing... but maybe the goal of this series isn't just pokemon but LOVE
that being said, SATOGOU 4EVER
Hello Gooey448. I also love Goomy, Sligoo and Goodra which means we are enemies. You are my worst rival and I will surpass you. I ToOmY will defeat you one day.
All respect though.
Got is the God of catching pokemon just with pokeballs and that annoying POKEBALL GO!!!!!!
I personally love Goh, he's sweet to the pokemon and his friends. Yes, i know he took over Ash's screentime, but he has developed alot throughout the series. He's also funny and inspirational in my opinion.
A random thing:
Honestly, I think he's gay.
