Amazing review as always. And I wanted to thank you for spreading the love for fragrances as I have fallen in love with them partially because of you. And as a 16 year old I came to like some of the classics like egoiste , mitsouko, I love Antaeus lately even tho I couldn't get my hands on a vintage one I still love it. And without your channel I would never know about any of those frags so thank you for what your doing for the community!
Excellent review! Yes, when it came out after aventus, everyone was confused. Its a tuned up F1 version of Old Spice and thats fine because i used to apply old spice bar deodorant in my youth. Best review on this today.
I think is understandable the criticism the house of creed gets (similar to amouage in my opinion), but its also a house that has produced some great fragrances (royal oud, green Irish tweed, aventus, viking, vetiver etc...) its a house that started my journey from designer into niche, and some of their fragrances will always have a place in my collection Thanks for the great work ram, really appreciate your honest approach when reviewing a fragrance. Gareth uk 🇬🇧
Viking is great in all seasons and settings. Interesting, complex and masculine, going on my third bottle. Creates a nice little bubble around you that lasts most of a work day. Spicy, minty, slightly old school juxtaposed by a touch of ambroxan and a rose note that is killer. Legend has it Lief Erikson was wearing this the day he discovered North America, thus the name....⛵🌹🌿
Nicely done Rams ,only ever sampled this with a freebie last year yep I liked it prob a 2023 sample, non the less it was really good ,but I have a fragrance called Lumberman from Nose a Russian indie house and they smell so similar I kinda didn’t follow up weird thing I wanna revisit both again Incase I’m tripping lol .great job Papa Ram lol, I saw your reply hahaha 🙏✌️👍

Excellent! I will be reviewing a few of their frags he sent me and giving them a shout out on each video... so they will definitely be discussing his services again soon 🙂
this is fairly certainly in my top 10 personal favorites. i luckily have a 17Y01 bottle...but the problem is that its a little 1.7 and i want to wear this ALL the time like a signature scent. it performs pretty well for me, but that super spicy opening is so damn good that i find myself wasting the stuff every few hours to experience it again lol. the sprayer dumps a ton on you, but i still give myself 5 sprays because its not mega projecting. i too remember everybody talking s*** about it on arrival because it wasnt an aventus flanker or w.e. the hypetrain wanted at the time, but i pulled the trigger because of the "its just niche old spice" thing (which sounded perfect to me haha). my jaw dropped when i first smelled it. contender for best blind buy i ever made! thanks for the video dude!
I'm like you Ramsey. I wanna know WHO made it. Can't seem to pin the dna or main accords to any one perfumer. Wasn't a fan of this initially, but like many fragrances, it kinda did grow on me. All I can say is that I prefer it over modern Old Spice. 😆
One of my fav Creeds. I love how invigorating it is! You need some energy to conquer a workday? Viking 💪🏻 Skulls will be crushed, villages razed and plunder too much to carry… or at least just that feeling anyway 😅
I like creed line very much.. I like to see your video because u purchased big bottles. But after watching the whole video I have a different perception for creed now.
Read the book the ghost perfumer and you will really have a different perception of creed. Don't get me wrong there are many Creeds I really enjoy but the story behind them is just hillarious lol
I love Viking. The rose and spices combo is beautiful. Especially when it is a bit warmer ( perfect for spring), but… I avoid wearing it outside my home, because one woman made a comment that I smelled like I just came from a dentist’s office 😅 and I kind of get it 😂
I have a 2018 bottle of Viking, it was my first niche full bottle fragrance. I've always loved it, but after reformulations and as prices increase I'm not sure I'll ever buy another bottle. I feel like I can get more bang for my buck elsewhere. Even with that in mind I've always been impressed with the depth of the fragrance and how little credit it gets for being so interesting. I'll enjoy every drop in the bottle I have. Edit* I smelled a newer version in a department store a year or so ago and it was different than the OG. To my nose it was weaker in the opening and less deep overall.
I'm a big fan of Viking. It's like a non-normative Aromatic Woody fougere/Spicy Oriental that evades standard genre classification. With such joyous sweet spiciness that its maybe closer in profile to a Bay Rum than it is to Old Spice. Just exchange the slight bay leaf camphoration of Bay Rum for the strong mentholation of Viking, the rum of a Bay Rum with absinthe of Viking, and add lavender. So instead of something a Caribbean pirate would use, it's something a Northsea Viking would use. But its upscale and niche. Both the Bay Rum and Viking are an everyday-wear type of scent profile.
Ramophiles, we meet again. 🐏♂️ ♀️ Hated this at first sniff last year. But my nose has changed a ton since then. Need to get my nose on the older stuff. Speaking of which... SOTD Ralph Lauren Monogram ❤

Not just for the price but they just don’t care about customer like most other brands I don’t care for either . I’ll save and plan my purchases ahead . Upcoming purchases this year would be Papillon EPONA , Sherwood CHRYSOS and AREEJ ROYAL BARN & Sultan Pasha Faghia
I've spent the better part of half a year testing a sample of Viking. I gotta' admit that I struggled with this one. To my nose, it opens up as an explosion of clove, a note that I'm not a fan of in large doses. Viking remains a clove bomb for a good half-hour or so after the first spray. However, I think I'm starting to get used to that opening, and the dry-down is where Viking really shines, where it becomes way fresher and aromatic. I may have to sample the Cologne version at some point, simply for curiosity's sake. You might think I'm nuts, but I actually ended up really liking the Aventus Cologne. XD
You should get picked up for a reality tv-series. And for an episode they should fly you to the Creed-butique in Paris, and make you listen to the sales woman do her showmanship from across the counter of marble about "The rich history, and perfumed by father and son and the FASCINATING new fragrance Aventus Cologne". If you`ve never been there, you would enjoy it trust me.

@@RamseytheRam I agree 100% with trusting your nose. One man's trash is another man's treasure! For my own curiosity, do you feel Viking Cologne smells foul or do you think it's merely average/trite for the asking price? The reason I like it so much is that it reminds me of Terre D'Hermes EDT, which I also love but sold my bottle since I can hardly smell it on myself.
