I’ve watched this review multiple times. It’s really spot on, and consistent with my experience with Viking. Probably the best Viking review out there if I’m being honest. Well done.
Been searching for that scent that I’ve associated with my grandfather wearing back in the late 70s, early 80’s...this is it. Totally nails the barbershop/masculine genre while still being modern...it successfully generates those memories
I remember when this fragrance was released and the hype that surrounded it. I think noses in the fragrance community are maturing and we're starting to appreciate more complex scents. My favorite creed is Bois du portugal

Millesime Imperial i personally think is the best Creed. Perfectly unisex fragrance I'd like to wear in the summer.

When I got the sample set from Creed, I liked Aventus 1st but this one grew on me over Green Irish Tweed. Its more masculine. When I put it on my wife asked, "Are you wearing love potion #9 or something?" I was surprised she liked it since she is very picky on most fragrances and it has a barbershop scent vibe but more elegant. I had to go ahead and purchase the 3.3 bottle. 1 of my new favs.
Aventus will always be favorite of this time and all times afterwards. The 👑 is here to reign forevermore #iwanttobeentered.
I missed the giveaway, but my personal favorite Creed has to still be Aventus, with Viking a close 2nd. GREAT video as always, and I too LOVE Viking. I was kinda "meh" at first, but after several wearings I love how it evolves throughout the day/night. It's really complex and I enjoy scents with depth like this one. Absolutely worth it, IMHO. Thanks for the continued great work, Ash! Watching your vids is something I look forward to as part of my day.
To me Bois du Portugal is by far the best Creed fragrance.

Oh wow, Costco.com has Creed Viking going for a $229 for a 100 ml and I thought they were the cheapest but $194 is not bad at all. My fav creed is what everyone else hates and it’s Original Santal heheh.

Theres no hate towards the frag itself, Everyone hates the fact that it smells Like Individuel and is too safe for such an expensive frag
Punjabi Laundde it is very similar to MB Individuel but man I can smell quality with OS. I really like it for some reason.
Not at all. Original Santal is a favorite of mine. It’s just not as enjoyable as others I have because it’s a cold weather scent and I don’t live where it’s cold for long periods.
Costco has an awesome sale on a 100ml bottle of Viking right now...$160. Anyone interested, get it while it lasts!
I really enjoy Creed Viking and last 12-14hrs off my skin. I did buy it on release and paid £245 which was too much money but it’s much more reasonable now.
Just off initial impression Creed Viking is very similar to Eternity EDP, same scent family and would cover the same ground in my opinion. I have and love Aventus, and Green Irish Tweed. Solid fragrances Frome this house! Viking is just little too stuffy/mature for me at this point. Cheers man, great review!
Viking was a first love for wifey. Received it as a Birthday gift! Very classy and sophisticated. Wear it mostly for the office. Still Aventus is my favorite! I want in for the $50!
I would say this is a modern Bois du Portugal and a very underrated fragrance
What took you so long to review this! Enjoyed wearing it this fall. Seems to be a love-hate frag in the community . It’s quite a mature scent so I understand most younger dudes disliking it. Personally love this but I generally love most of Creed’s offering and would in essence be considered a Creed fanboy. Aventus being my tip fav from the house though I don’t wear mine often these days.Bite me. We all love what we love. Count me in on the giveaway.
Love Viking. Took me awhile to really appreciate it. Smells masculine and clean and quite unique imo.
Spring and summer for me.
It has a piercing spicy note. It can give someone a headache. I would put a spray of Vicing and layer it with a couple of sprays of Aventus or Silver Mountain Water
I tested Viking during a VIP consult at the Mayfair boutique in London. It wasn't my cup of tea regardless the cost. I'm still selecting a favorite Creed. MI is the current favorite with SMW being unique enough to be a worthy signature scent. I love Aventus but does not work for me as a everyday scent because it projects too much. It's a scent best used in private.
Please me in the drawing. The Arts Traveler likes to smell nice for the people in his orbit. Today the lady ahead of me at the Container Store was complimented on MY scent, Creed's Spice and Wood. I smelled fabulous and I am glad to know that I enhanced someone's day through my projection.
My favorite Creed fragrance is Bois du Portugal. Although Viking is my most complimented.
I haven't smelled any Creeds but I've liked a few Aventus copycats. I would love to compare them to the original!!

Great video man. I have tried Viking a few times, mostly at stores. I purchased some clones because I thought the price/scent just wasn’t there for me but I hate the clones and never wear them, but I really like the real thing.
I'm on board. Wore Viking maybe 3 times and by the 3rd time, it was nowhere NEAR as bad as the initial negativity. But I'm a fan of mint and spice so there you go. Couldn't agree more about the pricing though. 👎 Favourite Creed will always be Spice and Wood. Put me in the gvwy!
You are so spot on when it comes to this fragrance. I personally was on my 3rd batch of Aventus when Viking hit the scene. I liked Viking didn’t fall in love. Now 2020 I’m loving it now and I’m purchasing real soon. Love your review and glad i came across it.💯💯

One way to know if it’s creed is it’s expensive . You aren’t going to spend a little money on these colognes . You’re looking at 300 to 600 for a bottle . The best way to know if it’s real is to buy it from Neiman Marcus or majority department stores . Don’t buy it from Walmart or eBay lol . Are theses colognes worth it yes . They live up to creed’s reputation . I don’t personally like colognes , but I do love creed . So that should tell you it lives up to its name . I own 3 bottles difference ones . I only use sometimes . I like it because I don’t won’t to smell like most people . Most colognes smell the same . Usually they are load and offensive smells . Creed is different and unique to me .
Silver mountain water smells like Chrome by Azzaro.
Creed aventus cologne smells like a mixture of Versace pour homme and aventus...
For me the best is by far the original creed aventus.
Here I am on the Viking Video obviously but Favorites for me are Viking and Original Santal tied Original Vetiver.
I love when it evolves into that spicy cinnamony feel and I'm guilty of constantly pulling my forearm up to my nose and smelling it constantly lol
It's not love at first sniff but give it a chance and you will love it
labdanum is a resin from two specific species of Mediterranean rockrose. It has nothing to do with lavender.
I received a free sample of Viking and I most say it smells a lot like Hindu Kush from Mancera. But I think I like Mancera better more projection and last longer.
Yesterday tested Creed Viking, not sure if the clove or the whole combo with the peppers/spices in general, but I'm not very fond of it, not one I'd like to wear. Bois du Portugal also tested, too old-vibe-ish, not my cup of tea either. And Green Irish Tweed is nice but honestly just reminded me strongly of Cool Water, I wouldn't say worth the delta in price at all, imho.
Also smelled Encre Noire by Lalique, really amazed how such a wonderful fragrance can be so inexpensive. Imho a nicer fragrance than all of the above
Just got samples from creed. Three samples for 30 bucks. Great reference for genuine creed since it’s ordered directly from the company. All of them are intensely concentrated. Takes four hours for Viking to become a manageable. Upfront fragrance is a bit over the top but hours later I liked it better than Aventus. Creed should always have a magnet lock in the cap
It's weird everytime I'm on fragrance net debating on pulling the trigger on a Creed fragrance it's always this one I end up staring at the longest. This makes me wanna give it a shot... Kinda.. Idk lol The review was solid though for sure. I'd love to be a dying dream in the giveaway! My favorite Creed is "Too many other priorities to buy Creed".
I managed to get a sample of of Viking the other day, along with silver mountain water and Himalaya. Unfortunately Viking was the only one I disliked, as Ash mentioned it's very retro but I just couldn't get pass the point where it becomes modern.

(: Aventus is no king sorry there are 100s of nisch frags that are better. Almost every xerjoff and fragrance du boi scents are leagues above Aventus. Aventus is nothing anymore sorry. Nishane - hacivat is so much better than Aventus if you want that dna.
Viking gives me double the compliments than i get from Aventus thats the truth and smells much better too without the annoying birch you get in Aventus so to answer you comment Aventus is nothing anymore. Most of the People who still says Aventus is king have very little experience in the nisch realm.
mana beast Agreed there are a lot of great fragances outside. Even I’ve discovered many designer fragances with niche quality.it depends in what worth value is for you and the performance in the skin of each person. I respect your opinion but Aventus for me it’s simply AWESOME

My issue with it, is that I dont see how the scent fits the "Viking" theme. The scent brings up more Mediterranean vibes for me.
Picked up a sample of Viking about a month ago. Not impressed at first but decided to try it again yesterday. I walked by my wife who caught a whiff. Her reaction? “Wearing Sauvage again?” That caught me off guard so I put a spray of Sauvage on my hand to compare. I could definitely pick up the pepper in both which is what she picked up on also. After smelling the two together, she said “ Put the Sauvage to the back and I’ll spring for a bottle of Viking” even after I told her the cost.
Agree, I wouldn’t compare to Aventus, more to Bois de Portugal and it doesn’t project long but I could smell it for quite a while.
The difference in quality of the scents is astounding. I have over 3 oz left of Sauvage I’ll probably end up selling or giving to my son in law.

I get a lot of Mint in Creed Viking, I prefer this one over Royal Oud. My favorites from the house are Aventus, Viking, and Green Irish Tweed

Creed Erolfa is by far my favorite! I've always hated Viking, but maybe I'll give it another shot.... or maybe not! 😂
I have Aventus, but prefer Green Irish Tweed. Viking, to me opens with cinnamon - just me I guess

Its fresh but masculine, old school but with a modern touch.. I think it's better than it's given credit for. The only part i wasn't sure about was the sour type intro I was getting.. The longevity is due to fatigue... the price wise is due to the name and what it's mythology would suggest.

Viking too, but the bottle's aesthetic doesn't call to me much. I guess it's either the orange undertones in the red or that it look so much like Aventus 🤷♀️

I've seen it compared to Eau Sauvage quite a few times, which is in turn compared to being a more premium version of Old Spice as well. There may be something to that.

I would like to be entered. The story you tell is exactly how, I remember it coming out. I was in an Aventus fog. It was my favorite scent at the time. And there was so much division in the community with the release of Viking. The fog has cleared and I would like to try it now.

Tried purchasing a custom sample set from the official creed website. It's all sold out atm.
I still use old spice original aftershave, Viking almost the same scent as old spice, and old spice is like $6 lol. ALT also does vikiking which im waiting on for the package

I’d like to be entered. My favorite Creed fragrance is Aventus Cologne. With that being said, I enjoyed my sample of Viking that creed was sending out before releasing this fragrance. I enjoyed it, people around me enjoyed it. However I later purchased a large decant of Viking batch 17u01 and it smells terrible to me. Smells way too “mature” and like an old mans fragrance. Just another bad example of creeds batch variations.

This is more spice & wood than boi du portugal. Not that they are very similar but they share some discreet similarities.

Viking is an absolutely wonderful Fragrance, I loved it from day one...had some Decants but now use perfume parlours version, it's 95% same for a 10th of the cost, but do love it, atb Lee
