After your first video about this gem you sent me into a deep dive curiosity and purchased a bottle several years ago. I’m so happy you gave this fragrance justice by doing a hall of fame review.

I think it was about 5 or 6 years ago and I was in the Burbank area where I discovered a small perfume shop. They were carrying a lot of Arabian Oud and some contemporary niche brands like Byredo.. but I spotted the Creeds in the glass and discovered Vanisia. Creeds come with no cellophane as we all know so I was allowed by the owner to test a bottle and my mind was blown.. I was able to bargain with the owner and he gave me a fair price. 2009 year and I later added an 2013 in the women's bottle style I believe. I love this stuff! It is such an underrated Creed and I'm glad to have 2 nearly full bottles that haven't lost their luster. Phenomenal stuff. It had me hunting for any older vaulted Creeds which were all very good and superior to the stuff of 2015-16 at the time. They just don't make em like they use to. Creed is a perfect example of that.

I love this perfume. I have a 250 ml flacon of it. It’s so good. It’s the sandalwood and Ambergris for me. Can’t wait to hear your take.

I just admire Ram’s collections from afar… but once in a blue moon he intrigues me to get off my ass and buy a bottle of something he is passionate about.. never disappointed Vanisia was this for me. Zero regrets
I haven’t smelled this one but it sounds amazing,creed used to be better than anything else in the market at least to m,e it’s unfortunate seeing where it is today.

Fun fact Vanisia being female marketed is one of the perfumes that was also available in pure parfums in the 80s-90s, mini-chrome spray bottles or mini-dabber bottles, along with the edt splash bottles, as I have.

This inspired me to pull out my vintage 75ml bottle as well. Wearing today and man … so good. It’s super hot and muggy today and it wears just fine.

To me it shares stronger similarities with spicy amber orientals such as Opium, Coco, even Bois des Iles / Egoiste for the sandalwood aspect.
Yeah I always thought of it as Creed does Shalimar but I could see Egoiste being mentioned... thanks for watching & commenting 🍻

@@RamseytheRam i have a sufficient amount left of both that i acquired from the manager of NYC boutique in 2009 and about 30 ml’s of the original release of Windsor , all for special occasions only needles to say , they are unmatched pieces in my book
lol the one thing ill give ol roger bird is that he could probably make a fool of olivier creed in an inside baseball type conversation about making perfumes. he could like make up a bunch of crap and olivier would be like "oh yes, certainly, indeed" and then roja would be like "actually i just made all that s*** up, poser".
p.s. today i realized roja scandal parfum is sort of his take on eau de guerlain....smell them side by side. another creed-ified (if you will) guerlain in my opinion, as he does
p.p.s. this is actually one of the more reasonably priced vintage creeds...as in under 300 bucks lol. maybe not after this video

I blind bought a 250ml from 2013 on eBay a week ago because someone else bought a 250ml green flacon pre 2006 batchcode bottle and it was the only one left. They need to bring this back in the 75ml,250ml,500ml bottles asap. It’s divine!! “Queen of silk” is an amazing creed compared to most of the blah scents. I’d buy that in a 500ml.
Yes I think this one is one of the best Creeds... I have never smelled Queen of Silk 👸

Okay question , if you had to pick one Creed Vanisia or Chanel Le Lion? I know they’re different. Both have Shalimar associations though. I smelled Le Lion recently at a boutique and did fall in love… but $500 for the 200ml had me gasp. I’m surprised you can find vanisia for decent prices. Maybe not with your video now😂

@@RamseytheRamwell went on eBay and saw someone selling Vanisia 75ml bottle for like $150. Looks like maybe 10mls were used and I think it’s a 2013 batch. I offered $115 and he took it😂 I thought I’ll never get another Creed again… thanks for putting this on my radar.

I recently got a 2011 and in the women’s bottle. Do you think it smells like the OG 75 ML men’s bottle? Or does it smell like any other vanisia in general? Ty
I think they did a fantastic job of a reformulation... but around 2014 to 2016 is when some of those heavy IFRA bans went into effect so maybe that's why it got disconnected

Would you say women’s perfume from the 80s and before can be worn by men today? Only asking because most women’s scents from before smell a lot more “masculine” than those today
I think any fragrance can be worn by anyone....but especially the vintage feminine marketed scents... some like Azuree smell masculine than 99% of what comes out for guys todah
Do you get any similarity to Sublime? Pyramid seems similar though very stripped down
Yeah that's a great shout out... I think Sublime is more of a proper Chypre construction but they share similarities for sure
