    Lyrics:
    Come, come ye Saints, no toil nor labor fear;
    But with joy wend your way.
    Though hard to you this journey may appear,
    Grace shall be as your day.
    ’Tis better far for us to strive
    Our useless cares from us to drive;
    Do this, and joy your hearts will swell:
    All is well! All is well!
    Why should we mourn or think our lot is hard?
    ’Tis not so; all is right.
    Why should we think to earn a great reward
    If we now shun the fight?
    Gird up your loins; fresh courage take.
    Our God will never us forsake;
    And soon we’ll have this tale to tell:
    All is well! All is well!
    We’ll find the place which God for us prepared,
    Far away in the West,
    Where none shall come to hurt or make afraid.
    There the Saints will be blessed.
    We’ll make the air with music ring,
    Shout praises to our God and King;
    Above the rest these words we’ll tell:
    All is well! All is well!
    And should we die before our journey’s through;
    Happy day! All is well!
    We then are free from toil and sorrow, too;
    With the just we shall dwell!
    But if our lives are spared again
    To see the Saints their rest obtain,
    Oh, how we’ll make this chorus swell:
    All is well! All is well!
    Happy Day! All is well! All is well!
    From the Music and the Spoken Word broadcast episode 4323, July 22, 2012.

    Best decision of my life I made to join this Latter Day Saints Church in 1985, 39 years ago. I am grateful for all of God's blessings bestowed upon me. I am sealed to my family, & spouse for all time & eternity. I love the Lord with all my heart and I will always be his humble disciple. In his holy name Jesus Christ, Amen.

    There are many beautiful choral anthems, but this is as good as they get. As a non-Mormon, I can only begin to imagine what strings it touches in a Mormon heart.

    I am a former Baptist minister. I was preaching a sermon and said, there is no other scripture than the Holy Bible an others claiming scripture such as the Book of Mormon. A strong voice in my mind said "How do you know that is true." I recognized it as the Holy Spirit, so that began my quest. I made contacts and started reading the Book of Mormon. I met with the missionaries and took the discussions. My dad is also a former Baptist minister, he too while reading the Book of Mormon gained a testimony that it is true and the Word of God. I am now 82 years old and the organist for my local chapel (we call a ward as this is a world Church). I am now 82 years old, we both joined the Church 50 years ago along with our family and extended families. What a joy to be a part of the Restored Church of Jesus Christ. To know who we are, where we came from, why we are here, why life is short, and where we go when we die. Plus the wonderful things we learn in the Holy Temples of God. THIS CHURCH IS TRUE AND IS JESUS CHRIST'S RESTORED CHURCH. Thank you to all that have sacrificed so much to bring us to this day. I love you all. God Bless You All.

    I was born into the Church, but fell away between my twenties and sixties. Even during the time I was inactive in the Church, every time I heard this hymn, I'd get a lump in my throat. I'm now 62 and have recently come back to the Church and I gotta say this hymn (and MANY others) bring tears to my eyes, especially when the MoTab does them....

    I am honored to be the son of pioneers on all 4 sides of my family. My Great Grandfather Horne was in the first wagon train to leave Nauvoo on that horribly cold morning in Feb 1846. So cold that it was an obvious miracle from Heaven. Why? Because the Mississippi froze so solidly that their wagons crossed on the ice all at once with no expensive, time consuming ferry taking one wagon at a time. Thanks be to God for those amazing pioneers. How can we ever repay them for their sacrifice

    I was 20 years old when I joined the Church, and 3 months later my Bishop allowed me to attend seminary. Little did I know that besides coming to know the Church was true attending that seminary class would be one of the most significant events in my life. The course of study was Church History. And after the course was over the history of the church became mine as much as it was to someone who was raised in the Church. Today my daughter sings with this magnificent Choir and Orchestra.

    A very touching hymn! I'm a 2 year convert who discovered a few months before committing to be baptized that my ancestors were Mormon pioneers. Living in a toxic household, I sincerely hope I will be able to go west soon to Utah to be with my cousins who are members of the Church, and who also helped me to discover it. I am utterly grateful to my pioneer ancestors for being the link that relates me to any other members, let alone this lovely couple. And I feel the plight of the pioneers in a sense, going West to somewhere "God prepared" without "being hurt or made afraid" but being afraid of the process of getting there. It took such an emotional and physical toll on all of them. Their sacrifice is so important to us as both an example and a gift!

    My Father Sings in this Choir. I'm very proud of him. This song has deep meaning for me. I chose and played this song in my Relief society as the opening song. My Stake president and his wife were visiting that day. a few days prior, their newest grandbaby passed away. I could feel a strong spirit as we sang the last verse: And should we die before our journey's through, happy day all is well. We then are free from toil and sorrow too. with the Just we shall dwell. It was a Tender Mercy of God.

Like you I got a phone call from my President I remember exactly where I was I was sitting on our couch during our lunch and my companion told me the phone was for me and that it’s the president. My president said he just got off the phone with my father and told me my grandpa just passed away. I remember sitting there after the phone call staring at the wall because I had a strong strong feeling that somebody was going to pass away during the mission before I left and knowing I prepared myself mentally for that, God watches over us. I felt peace knowing he is in a better place and that I can’t wait to see him again And that he would want me to share the good word with as many people as possible and so that’s what I did.

    There are many of us, including me that left the Church for a time. For many of us who struggled to fit in with the culture of Mormonism versus the real gospel (And there is a difference) it is the Choir and other universal forms of communication that helped to love us back to the Gospel. I thank the Lord for our Choir.

      I agree. The culture can be very damaging because of the wrong expectations! The Gospel is the joy because it centres on Jesus Christ! I live in the UK, so don't really know utah mormon culture, but we also have issues. The Gospel is the answer, but pride and all that comes with it is the stumbling block!😔

    My ancestors never crossed the plains. Nor did they labor with other saints to build temples. They didn’t bury their children on frozen plains or face ridicule to any extreme degree... but I am forever grateful for the early saints and every single effort made to build God’s kingdom. It’s because of them that my ancestors decided to cross a vast ocean. To believe in something greater than false idols and be brought to a remembrance of the ways of the Lord. My grandfather sold everything on his humble farm in Tonga to move to Provo Utah because of Mormon missionaries who were descendants of these pioneers. My Name is Victor Unga. I sustain the leaders called by God and have an unshaken testimony of the truth and divinity of the Gospel. I am forever a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

    My great great great great grandmother died in 1864 on the Mormon Trail near the Platte River in Nebraska. She was buried in a shallow unmarked grave (3:10 cuts very close to the heart!) near a lone cottonwood tree under which she passed away because many others of her company were very weak themselves and needed to move forward. She left behind four grieving children (her husband and two other children had passed away earlier in England) who finished the trek and settled in Grantsville. "And should we die before our journey's through, happy day, all is well! We then are free from toil and sorrow too; with the just we shall dwell." I look forward to meeting this amazing woman one day and telling her how much I love and appreciate her for her faith, sacrifice and incredible example to all of her descendants.

      I don't cry for people much, but the pictures during this beautiful song brought tears to my eyes for the real spirits who made this journey. Their faith cannot even be described in earthly terms. My older and wisest Sister bore her testimony on Pioneer Day (which I only learned about 3 years ago ) about her Grandfather who survived the Hans Mill massacre. His wife put a shawl over him after he had been shot and sat him at the spinning wheel so he looked like an old woman when the mob came in to kill all the men. She blocked the door and told the killers that they had killed every man, so they had better go kill a pig so her children would not starve to death. Her grandfather survived his wounds, and went on to become a bishop, and was buried at This is the Place Monument. ..What a story. ..Could you imagine any of us today being able to endure that?? The courage of these pioneers to survive all this and build it into the church today, could only have come from Heavenly Father, Himself. What a special song for the finest of spirits!

    THAT happened long before I was baptized, neither knowing about HIS Church, but I always wanted to know the TRUTH about HIM !
    Unexpectedly... HE came to me... to answer to my doubts !
    Thank you, Father from MANKIND and TRUE SON of OUR Celestial Father !

Most of them... kept me ALIVE - when MILLIONS of people should be dead (in those circumstances I went through...) ! "TERRIBLE" Miracles, that defied my logic, my sense of reality, and my Faith in an Amazing and Powerful Celestial Father. Blessed I was. Bçessed I hope you deserve to be.

    Have been listening to this daily for about 4 months now. I've found that listening to some of the church hymns and reading my scriptures first thing in the morning really sets the tone for my entire day and helps to keep me centered on the Savior. And every day I've also thought about the devotion and effort the people who made this video put into it. Even though it was nothing compared to what the church members actually endured, it took a lot of faith and love for the Church to get out in the cold and wet conditions they endured. You know if there was snow on the ground the water in the rivers they crossed had to be frigid, and with any wind blowing they had to be chilled to the bone. It is truly a miracle, as great as the parting of the sea for Moses, that the pioneers survived to make it to the "...place which God for us prepared...". As a convert to the church, I can't wait to meet some of these brave souls one day.❤️🙏🙏

    Music has no boundary of countries and religions. I love all the songs the Mormon Tabernacle sings. Everything they did is just so perfect. Come, Come, Ye Saints has to be one of my favorites. Yes, I actually know how to sing this song from listening to it almost 30 years ago, and I am not a Mormon. Although I still prefer the older version that was performed during the early 80s, this version is also superbly done, especially fitting the video so well.

    I want to take this opportunity to bare my testimony that I do know without a shadow of a doubt that Joseph Smith really did see the Father and The Son and that they did in reality speak to him, I absolutely know that because of him the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is restored so to the priesthood is once again on the earth. I say this in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

      The gospel taught to the people back in the time of the Bible is the same gospel the Mormons teach. After Jesus Christ and his apostles died the gospel in its entirety was taken from the earth and all churches after that were comprised of man to try and restore the gospel but without the help of the lord. Until Joseph Smith, who saw God the Father and Jesus Christ, built the church with their help and the authority. The Book of Mormon translated by the power of God through the spirit, along with the Bible, and other doctrine given to the prophets in these latter-days give us the entirety of the gospel. I have a question for you though. Why do u feel the need to try and disprove other people's faith and beliefs? Or try to make them doubt themselves about what they know to be true? Why can't we believe what we want? I'm trying to defend this person and my religion, and really i don't want to argue because it's a free country with the freedom of religion and we shouldn't be fighting over stuff like this. Let us believe what we believe and i will let you believe what u believe peacefully. If either of us have a sincere question to try and understand where each other comes from, then we can talk. But trying to Bible bash each other won't help anyone. So please, let us be.

    I am so grateful for the pioneers who sacrificed everything, including their own lives in many cases, to establish the Lord's Church high in the mountaintops. One of my ancestors was a pastor in London in 1850 when he and his wife heard the message of the restored Gospel and joined the Church. Their families disowned them and after much hardship they came to the US, settling in Idaho. They sacrificed more in their first 2 years as members than I have in my entire life. I honor and thank them.

Along that thinking, His children today & throughout history have had trials to endure, albeit different trials in different ages of the world!

    My ancestors did not cross the plains. They didn’t receive persecution from their government or flee their homes for fear of their lives. But my warrior ancestors heard the voice of the Lord from across the sea. From a little island nation tucked away in the South Pacific. The Kingdom of Tonga is where my ancestors come from. And it is thanks to the pioneers who crossed the plains, my ancestors received the fullness of the everlasting gospel. My grandparents crossed the ocean to come here to Provo, Utah for a better life and through all the hardships and trials we have endured, we would have it no other way. The faith of my people is legendary. All thanks to the saints who made it possible by making the trek to the west so many years ago. My heart is full. And all is well. God bless!

      That's quite a run-on sentence, Brittney, but very expressive - from the heart. Thank you very much.

    Come, come, ye Saints, no toil nor labor fear
    But with joy wend your way
    Though hard to you this journey may appear
    Grace shall be as your day
    'Tis better far for us to strive
    Our useless cares from us to drive
    Do this, and joy your hearts will swell
    All is well! All is well!
    Why should we mourn or think our lot is hard?
    'Tis not so, all is right
    Why should we think to earn a great reward
    If we now shun the fight?
    Gird up your loins, fresh courage take
    Our God will never us forsake
    And soon we'll have this tale to tell
    All is well! All is well!
    We'll find the place which God for us prepared
    Far away in the West
    Where none shall come to hurt or make afraid
    There the Saints will be blessed
    We'll make the air with music ring
    Shout praises to our God and King
    Above the rest these words we'll tell
    All is well! All is well!
    And should we die before our journey's through
    Happy day! All is well!
    We then are free from toil and sorrow, too
    With the just we shall dwell!
    But if our lives are spared again
    To see the Saints their rest obtain
    Oh, how we'll make this chorus swell
    All is well! All is well!
    Happy day! All is well!
    All is well!

    My 2nd great grandmother went to Utah with her parents in 1848, as an 8 year old. These people were LDS OGs. I just can't imagine how any of them made it. It's simply not possible to hear this song and not think about it.

    I am currently struggling through a difficult, hard trial. These hymns have cheered me up today. I love personalizing this song. I love singing along with it and saying "How can I think to earn a great reward if I now shun the fight?" It is a great hymn to sort of rally the troops inside of yourself. "If my life is spared again to see the Saints their rest obtain, oh how I'll make this chorus swell: ALL IS WELL! ALL IS WELL!" May God let it be so.

    This hymn will always be my favorite. It gave me so much strength to serve a 2 year mission in the poorest parts of Chile 🇨🇱 while being sick for half of it and go through it with happiness

    I simply can not make it through this song without tearing. EVER. My brother has been a part of the choir now for about a year so each recording and video means even more to me. I grew up listening to Mo-Tab and it will forever be "Gods Choir" to me.

    This song was beautifully sung in 1969 in the Smith field house at BYU with the BYU orchestra. As a young woman from rural Idaho, never had I heard such heavenly strains reaching the heavens. Angels were singing too it felt. Since then my memory takes me there every time it is sung.
