I am pretty sure that if your pockets are deep enough you can comission one from Patek, I for example have 2 g shocks in lieu of Pateks

They could’ve at least engraved the bezel, people overhype Patek just because it’s “luxury” and has a history but overall I'm not really impressed with most of their products, it’s sorta like abstract art lol
I agree that a Lange & Söhne is more impressive but this celestial is a piece of art and is my favorite 😎👍
No wristwatch is worth that kind of money. Not today with world economies crashing and burning. As for the overall design, it leaves me cold. I fully understand the intricacies of such a complicated movement. But it doesn’t justify the outrageous price.
Why do you care if it costs $240,000 or $40,000? Would you be buying it if they cut the price to $40G?
It's really expensive to produce something like this. Honestly it probably costs 100,000ish for the materials and labor to build it. You have to get at least twice that back to make it possible to sell and profit

The dial shows stars within the moon's crecent. Which ist NOT how it looks in reality (the unlit moon disc obscures the stars in the background).
So much thought went into this piece. And then they make such a stupid blunder...
