    Looks really cool. You do know they make clear pvc glue and primer. It's kinda hard to find. I do HVAC work and we get it from an actual plumbing supply store. Not at Lowe's or Home Depot. That colored primer is nasty stuff and will stain anything and everything.

      Thanks Scott. It sure does get everywhere.

    Why did you put a check valve and pressure reducer for each instead of just putting one of each product to the water entering the manifold? Overall the build looks great and I am definitely going to build one of these in the near future.

      I wanted full power before the manifold. Plus this is how I seen it designed and went for it

    Take the unions apart when you're gluing so you don't have to maneuver the entire thing.

    question, do you think it would work just the same with lets say 2 inch pvc water pipe. What is the recommended GPH for the pump you may use to get the water out? Another question, are there any measures in place to prevent fries from accidentally be taken up by the system?

    • @inventoryking
      @inventoryking  5 років тому

      I am not sure on the 2 inch pipe. I am sure it would would, but you would need to reduce down to the pressure regulator. 3/4" is a safe bet. GPH I am not sure. I have screens over my overflows, so the fry wont go down the drain.

    Looks good Paul. I wish my fish room had this. Not so easy to do with exotic plecos and hard liquid rock water. So what’s the meaning behind your channel name?

    • @inventoryking
      @inventoryking  5 років тому

      Thanks man. The channel name was from 2006 when I was working in an inventory room. Couldn’t think of a name then and that’s how it came about. I have been really thinking of changing it

    I was trying to post a pic of my plumbing job on my 220 gallon. I also use the clear primer on a towel to wipe off everything when I'm done. Gets off all the lettering and stickers on the fittings and pipe. Just the thing for the OCD

    • @inventoryking
      @inventoryking  5 років тому +1

      Got to love the OCD. I have it bad, LOL

      Lol. Mine is pretty bad. I tell people I have CDO. It's like OCD. But it's in alphabetical order they way it should be

      1 thing. Have you thought about putting in a ball valve between your manifold and your unions? That way you can turn the water off to just that one circuit. That way the others can still work in case of an emergency or maintenance and you won't have to drain the whole system down

    • @inventoryking

      HAHAHAHA! Thats a good one

    Nice man! I started watching this series right after I started a similar system. Been nice to follow along.
    Do you have any footage of that D. Comp group I could see during the video?
    Although it's too late for this section, using clear primer and glue gives a clean look. I hate working with PVC. Especially primer as it runs like a bitch. Certain cities/villages require a colored primer so it can easily be seen, but I doubt you pulled a permit for this project.

    • @inventoryking
      @inventoryking  5 років тому +1

      Sweet, thanks for following along. I don't have any footage yet, but I will down the road. Yeah I should have used clear primer and glue. I like the look of the blue around the seal as long as its clean, which we know is not the easiest to archive.

    I bet this part of the build took a lot of effort; need this, need that... buy the parts, cut the pipes... double check... dry fit... And then you have a table with a PILE of parts and a sweaty forehead and it only just begun.
    It turned out awesome!! *thumbs up*

    • @inventoryking
