I stopped with the buckets decades ago.... and went with a python... maybe when I get to 20 tanks someday I'll think about... I like doing water changes! I love how neat and orderly your system looks.

Looks great Jason Like the advantages your system has No mixing valve for temperature No filtration needed Fill the vat and prime it I would expect there is a heater in the vat to keep temperature up and stable? I do not have the space for the large vat Or I would have my auto water change system set up your way Thanks for sharing
No heater, I temp control the room so its the same as all of my tanks. You don't need a huge contianer but you would just have to refill it more often. Thanks
@@JadrenAquatics Hey Me too I have 5 gallon. Bucket with a tiny sponge filter tiny with some Val outside by my pond, they're great protein for my swordtail.
Came here after watching Flip Aquatics Tour of your Garage. This is an efficient way of doing water changes. I might make mine a little more budget and reuse materials where possible. Any places you can recommend to salvage parts from or where to buy everything?
I love it, but my water bill would be through the roof in KY as water is not cheap here :) I think Cory said his water was free? They charge by gallons used here!
They are just standard 2x4s, I did a bunch of research when I first started building stands and you would be very surprised and how much weight 2x4 when you included the screws in them can hold. Mine are over engineered for sure. Thanks!
I have done something similar but my problem is, my tapwater has chlorine and ammonia in it. So, I can't connect it to my tap. I got a RODI system but the waste water always pushes water out, so it is wasting tapwater even when I don't need water anymore. How do you handle that? I have a giant 60 gallon bucket where I keep my safe RODI water but like I said, when it is full, it keeps making waste water and that too much waste and not fine for environment. Suggestions would be helpful. Good job.
Having used those drippers in my garden, they are horribly slow. Can't imagine using them to refill a tank with water. Are you still using this system?
Hi Jason. Love your drip system. My one quick question is: can I use Aquatec demand/transfer pump in place of the booster pump? Is there an advantage of using booster pump over demand/transfer pump? Thanks!
It's not a pool pump is a diaphragm pump. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GKF3TM4/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B01GKF3TM4&linkCode=as2&tag=jadren-20&linkId=691f47a616ccbff98444ec06f74dad21
I use 2 55 gallon aquariums to store, heat and add chlorine to (I have iron and sulfur bacteria) that I pump water from for water changes but because my tanks are spread around I can't do a drain. I do run a long hose out a door so that does eliminate buckets but can't do automatic water changes. 😑
@@JadrenAquatics They are in my cellar. I'd like to put a drain in but when I was a kid my dad tried that but with clay and springs water doesn't go out, it comes in. 😊

Hi from the UK! Great vid, interesting system. Just subscribed so looking forward to seeing your other vids 🌱
Excellent🤓👍 funny I just sat down after changing out my 30 g tank lol. Wish I had this system. Very awesome🤓👍
Thanks glad you enjoyed
I'm in TX too, where they didn't put drains in garages back in the day. Have to come up with creative drain systems.
Yep I know I had to get extremely creative
Do you have a video on your air setup? I’m going to look for one.
Really like this set up Jason, thanks for the tutorial!

For the 60 drip emitters at the time you run them for (3 hours I believe you said)
How much water does it use? Thanks in advance
I have to fill the 275g tote every 3 days so 90g a day or so. My timer comes on for 15 minutes at a time 12 times a day roughly
Nice job jason....great info
Well done Jason !

Thanks for all the info
Could you please link to the video where you build that stand? I like that Idea.
Nice video! good info. Question about your blue backgrounds on the tanks, is this a film or paint? Im looking for a blue film to apply on my tanks.
Hey Jason the other day you asked about these Copepod looking shrimp thing? They are called Scuds!🤔
Yep, I'm now breeding them on purpose lol
@@JadrenAquatics Hey Me too I have 5 gallon. Bucket with a tiny sponge filter tiny with some Val outside by my pond, they're great protein for my swordtail.
A great video, thanks Jason.. Question pls.. is there a way to do the same/similar setup without drilling the tanks ??
Yes there is another type of drain pipe you can make can't remember what it's called. King of DIY has a video on it that requires no drilling

Maybe contact a landscaping company but everything is pretty cheap except for the pump. Thanks!
@@JadrenAquatics Thank you for your help :)
Does the booster pump pull water from the reservoir?
Yes sir over 4 foot high and then pushes it another 4 foot in the air with no problem plus it can run dry with no problems.
I love it, but my water bill would be through the roof in KY as water is not cheap here :) I think Cory said his water was free? They charge by gallons used here!
It's by the gallon here to but like $10 per 2000 gallons
Great video as always! What kind of wood did you use on the rack? How do you know it can hold that much gallons?

Should have popped up as a click able card ua-cam.com/video/-THE57z9WvQ/v-deo.html
Could you add check valves to prevent backflow from the drip ends?
Check valves reduce more pressure therefore cause issues if you have lots of drippers
I NEED to do this so bad
No time like the present!
Hi Jason, got a question with the air pump. How many tanks do you have running off the one pump? Thanks in advance!
I have over 60 drippers running off it right now.
Jadren Aquatics thank you
Jason, do you have a video on how to build those awesome racks?
No sorry I've yet to make a stand building video but I know I need to. Thanks
Out of curiosity, do you also use a water deduct meter? All my water from my tanks goes back in my yard so don't want to pay sewage...

So what do where can you drain your excess water if you don’t have a close drain? That’s my only issue.
Having used those drippers in my garden, they are horribly slow. Can't imagine using them to refill a tank with water. Are you still using this system?
Hey Jason, not sure you’ll see this, but I’ll try. The pump you recommend “appears” to need a power source. What do you use? Thanks very much!
The one I bought came with its own power brick you might search the pump again and see if you can find the same pump with the brick
@@JadrenAquatics Thanks very much!!

Hi Jason. Love your drip system. My one quick question is: can I use Aquatec demand/transfer pump in place of the booster pump? Is there an advantage of using booster pump over demand/transfer pump? Thanks!
I like the booster pumps because they can run dry without any damage and it happens to me constantly
Hey Jason, thanks for sharing! Do autowater change system good for shrimps?
I only have it going on a few neo tanks. I don't think I would suggest on cardinias thanks
@@JadrenAquatics Okay.. I think I'll do auto water change. Thanks!
so how do you remove the fish waste? or theres no need?
Do you use air stones in your sponge filters or do you just put the line directly in without an AirStone
I just switch to all ceramic stones from Jehmco super quiet
