This is exactly why I'm buying an FLHT. The two big selling points were the fact that I get an additional $9-10k to make the bike MINE, and the other is registration costs. Here in Vegas, registration is based off of MSRP. So by purchasing the cheaper bike, I will save every year on registration (Almost half) I went and priced out parts and labor the other day, and it came out to about 12 grand for just about everything I'd have them do. It's my bike, customized, and comes in around the same price as a stock street glide special. Love the subtle touches you did. The ghosted in images on the bags are super clean and give it a really nice touch. Keep the shiny side up Devil Dog.

In 2010 they did build that Standard for the European market only in Pearl Bleu, and I got one of these. The last Standard E-glide then build in USA was in 2009. So, I'am glad the bike is back again. But I also noticed that the current Standard has no passing lamps under the fairing and no back crashbar in front of those saddle bags. Bottom line is less bike for more money ! 😂

What’s goin’ on, Bro. Your bike looks great. I like the fact that you got the front lower fairings. It was the first thing I did on my 2020 Roadglide. It just completes the look in my opinion. You can’t beat that street glide seat also. Very comfortable for me (I’m 5’6” as well). I like the extra LED taillights that you installed. The more lights and visibility, the better and safer. All tasteful mods that didn’t take anything away from the original character of your Harley. Great job! I hear ya! Those reflectors really look bad. Since they are required for a dealer to be able to sell the bike, they go with the cheapest ones. Most people take them off, especially on the Street Glide/Road Glide licence plate. Thanks for stopping by....More to come soon!

To be honest, no. You'd still spend the $$ on LEDs, suspension, and engine work. I'm not a fan of HD navigation (I know you can now get Google Maps). Im sure there are a few more reasons that i just can't think about right now. In my opinon, the only thing that makes a Street Glide Special different, is that its already blacked out. I see it like this,...spend 19k and make it your own, or spend 27k and still have to make it your own. To each their own, right? Thnaks for sropping by the channel. Hope to have more out soon.

Thanks. I'm in a bit of a UA-cam slump right now..but have a few videos in the works. The coat of the powder coating so far was about $250. Much less than buying new black parts. Not to mention, keeping old chrome sitting around.

Thank you and.....Absolutely! After the Legend suspension upgrade I'm pretty much flat footed. I also wear either military boots or Icon riding shoes (like a high top gym shoe) as long as the ground isn't slick, I get a good grip. Thanks for stopping by the channel. Unfortunately I can't. The dealer installed the speakers and was sold as a package. I dont remember the extra cost of the speakers. I added the Sony head unit myself at a cost of about $560.
I used a Cricut vinyl cutter...using images I downloaded from the internet. After the initial cost of the cutter (about $250)..you can make almost anything you want. Thanks for watching.
It depends on what shoes/boots I wear. I usually ride with Icon riding shoes...I don't quite flat foot it but as soon as I get my suspension done, it should fix that problem. Thanks for watching. It means a lot.

Dealer installed the Rockford Fosgste speakers an amp before I bought the bike..I just added the Sony head unit form Fathead. I'm pretty satisfied with the sounds. Congrats on the new bike.

Just some of the options. This is the same frame and motor. Mine comes in the 107 only. Street Glide comes in both 107 and 114. The Electra Glide is just a stripped down version of Harley's touring line. Thank you for wathcing.
Nope...It's an Electra Glide...they share the same (touring) frame along with the Stree/Road Glide and Road King. A lot of the same parts but different styling.
Fire it up. I like the extra black touches. A tour pack and she is ready to go across country.

Thanks. I'm in a bit of a UA-cam slump right now..but have a few videos in the works. The coat of the powder coating so far was about $250. Much less than buying new black parts. Not to mention, keeping old chrome sitting around.
I found you from Purple on 3 Nice channel I subscribed. Nice Bike we all seem to have to add stuff to make a bike our own. Those are all good add ons. I wonder why Harley doesn't install LED lights. It just makes them safer. I post motorcycle content as well I am up in Canada. I am looking forward to checking out your videos nice presentation. I really like your infotainment system.

Did you have to put a load stabilizer on for your turn signals? I’m seeming some people complaining about their turn signals blinking like crazy
@@jdawg6439 If i remember correctly, the 2014 and up don't require load stabilizers. I didn't install any. I dont have any issues with hyperflash.
Nice bike man. I’m about 5’ 6”, so it sounds like we’re about the same height. How do you do with flat-footing? Are you able to? And are you able to get enough traction to walk the bike backwards? How much trouble is that. Thanks!
Thank you and.....Absolutely! After the Legend suspension upgrade I'm pretty much flat footed. I also wear either military boots or Icon riding shoes (like a high top gym shoe) as long as the ground isn't slick, I get a good grip.

Thank you. The tank badge you're asking about was a two piece vinyl decal that I made myself. Black background and a silver outline. I really liked the look, but decided to go back to the original red.

Bike looks great , can you share how much it cost to get the music system including rear lid speakers
Unfortunately I can't. The dealer installed the speakers and was sold as a package. I dont remember the extra cost of the speakers. I added the Sony head unit myself at a cost of about $560.

Take the left heat deflector off and it will better flow…using both causes the air to get trapped behind the rear cylinder…

I used a Cricut vinyl cutter...using images I downloaded from the internet. After the initial cost of the cutter (about $250)..you can make almost anything you want. Thanks for watching.

Dope bike! Being at 5’5 can you flat foot or tipy toe it? I’m the same height and wanted an Electra glide standard myself.
It depends on what shoes/boots I wear. I usually ride with Icon riding shoes...I don't quite flat foot it but as soon as I get my suspension done, it should fix that problem. Thanks for watching. It means a lot.

Hey the emblems silver you had on there where did you find a two piece that blacks out the red.
I made them myself. Wife has a Cricut vinyl cutter. Also did the same for the vinyl on the saddle bags.

Have you had any issues with the fathead set up?
None what so ever. Sony has put out at least 2 updates since I installed. No complaints at all....Im pretty sure Fathead is out of business...but they had excellent customer service while they were still around. I hope they can recover.
@@OnTwoandGo yeah, It looks like I’ll have to go with volunteer audio to get the same package fathead had. May try and see if I can just buy all the same components. I get to pick up my Electra glide tomorrow.
@@jonathanmorein2064 I'm sure there are better speaker setups out there...I don't get a lot of bass (not running any subs)..but is pretty loud. Dealer installed the Rockford Fosgste speakers an amp before I bought the bike..I just added the Sony head unit form Fathead. I'm pretty satisfied with the sounds. Congrats on the new bike.

I was thinking of going with the volunteer audio kicker set up it doesn’t have subs but I don’t wanna take up room in my bags with subs. I’ve never had a bagger so it’ll all be new to me. Difference between your bike and a Street Glide?
Just some of the options. This is the same frame and motor. Mine comes in the 107 only. Street Glide comes in both 107 and 114. The Electra Glide is just a stripped down version of Harley's touring line. Thank you for wathcing.

Im pretty sure it's a stock Street Glide seat. Added it when I bought the bike along with the tour pack.

Nope...It's an Electra Glide...they share the same (touring) frame along with the Stree/Road Glide and Road King. A lot of the same parts but different styling.
Do you still have the stock solo seat?
I do. It's basically brand new. I only used it for about a week.
