Thank you man!! To be honest, going full time on UA-cam was the best thing for my creativity. My imagination was getting so restless and bottled up with taking on so much client work. I would be on amazing jobs but would be day dreaming of working on UA-cam content. And not just for UA-cam.. but to let myself and my creativity run. UA-cam allows me to do that. I’m just getting started.
I’ve seen this camera in action during a party the image was broadcasted on a big screen the image was amazing the tracking was crazy good!!! The videographer put the camera on the ground and captured some amazing angles !! Image was crazy!!
DJI is absolutely killing it! Can't wait to see what they bring to the market over the next few years. Would LOVE a prosumer gimbal camera between the Ronin 4D and the Pocket 3.
Have had this on my dream list since they first released the 6k version. Like how DJI has integrated so much and made it fairly straight forward to use. Maybe one day. In the market for the black magic camera first.

DJI always makes interesting tradition shattering designs. This stuff is only going to trickle down if successful. I had the original OSMO back in the day and now have the OSMO Pocket 3 and it’s 1/5 the size, bigger sensor, and better in every way. Cant wait to see what they do with future Ronin designs.
I'm hoping DJI gives us a mirrorless body with one of these sensors either the eight or the 6K. Combine that with lidar focus in a mirrorless body and I think they got a real winner.

Seems like this camera has found a market. My biggest concern when the original came out was, is this thing too different to be accepted and will support die. Now with the flex unit, 8k camera upgrade it's a very interesting option.
How would you compare the image quality between the Ronin 4D and the S5IIX? I own an Ursa G2 and I'd like to invest in a camera for gimbal shots. I actually own a bronco, and I think it’s really funny that you guys chose to create a bronco commercial. Coughing Because of their popularity they’ve never had to create a bronco commercial or at least I’ve never seen one aired on television, or on UA-cam on any other social media media platform. What you created looks great btw.
Oh bro there was a huge campaign for the bronco release. The trailer for it is Prbly my top 3 ads ever. They did like a bunch of short stories around it too
Awesome video. For the type of work I do, shooting hotel and resorts, this camera would make a lot of sense. We do so much gimbal work that we always have one camera rigged ready to go on the gimbal. The price is the only thing that puts me off as it’s getting up there with the Komodo x. Something I’d love to test out though
I don't get the price though, it's 12k, but you can get the 6k version for around 6k euro's. So if you can buy the sensor unit for 4k, it's still a lot cheaper than the complete version.
@@cammackey mainly the costly extra lens. Right now it's cheaper to buy the 6k version and just add the 8k sensor. You will have less of a package though. I would love to see an entry 8k package, 12k is a lot to pay in one time. Around 8k would be more doable, and you can just add the other stuff later on.
$3500 but the biggest difference for me is; we can get a faster readout with better dynamic range, or can get even more dynamic range with slower readout, better color overall especially skin tones, and better slow mo quality with Downsampled 8K

Yes 14 and 12 bit is only in Pro res raw, sorry I didn’t go into more detail on that! Haha this camera has a lot of details to it, was hard to keep up while shooting and directing and driving and dealing with my dog 😂😂😂😂. I kept wanting to go into more details but figured other people would have video in them. Glad Gerald did a release for it!

It's too bad that the Batteries for the Ronin 4D 8K and the Inspire 3 are not interchangeable even though they look nearly identical and the DJI PROSSD 1TB SSD Drive is so slow, It will take an hour just to offload the footage
Interesting. It feels like they have a limited write speed to the meida that is restricting 8K/60 in 422. PRRaw is compressed and will fit within the spec.

I mean it relies on the lidar, even for AF lenses. Compared to other cinema camera, it’s one of the best AF you can get for sure. Specially with manual cinema lenses. And yeah I love the fender deletes! Make it feel a little more classic. No damage to paint! Granted I didn’t check haha. I wanna try to get a wrap soon

@@cammackey Haha, yeah that’s a common dilemma for those getting into fpv via the Avata. The motion controller makes you feel like a pro fpv pilot while crashing due to overconfidence. Using the remote controller and flying manual makes you feel like a noob just getting of the ground let alone landing😂 So I get the steep learning curve. Easier is to learn acro/manual with a tinywhoop. Cheap, small, light and super durable. You can get your first 100 crashes under your belt with little to no costs for repairs, flying in the house.

Just make sure you get a gimbal, wireless monitor and transmitter, wireless focus system, some sort of internal ND, a few more drops of dynamic range, a Tilta float for the z axis stabilization, LiDAR setup for tracking and focusing with cinema lenses, and figure out a way to get them all to seamlessly work together. And then you pretty much have the same thing

It’s like getting a Mac that is designed under roof vs a PC having to be pieced together and figuring out how to get it to all work as one

I love them. Almost every anamorphic on the market is soft wide open. We operated them at t2.8 on average where they clean up a lot

Internal NDs! I don’t use diffusion filters, rather do it in post if I need it! I do believe Sam put a screw on polarizer tho

Wellllll we shot in Pro Res HQ so this is all 10 but footage. The sensor is 12 and 14 bit but outside of of Pro Res Raw it’s a 10 bit container.
