Thanks for the credits buddy! And here's a fresh info. You can now turn FXAA on and it won't crash the game, probably from one of the updates they released. It slightly improve the edges but is not as good as MSAA would be.
I also have tried LMU in VR, and I have to say; when it works, it really is good. It drives (feels) way better than AMS2. It has a lot more “fidelity”. It feels “floaty” at the start with cold tyres. Just like irl, it also has the slip angle curve nailed. You can feel the front tyres grip, and loose traction, the back end is also easy to feel through the FFB. Handling-vise this title feels amazing. Way ahead of the other titles we have. It certainly has a lot of potential. That’s my two cents anyway.
Good point about the tyres, I'm so used to AMS2 that it will take time to work my way in. Plus, I need to learn how to setup the Hypercars and LMP2's. They are soooo fast!
The reason why you get massive pileups into T1 is because the grid is not divided by class, meaning you can have some Hypercars starting all the way at the back. In order to fix that, load a session with Q and R and then advance the session
@@MacInVR I went with the base model 5nm CSL bundle but I added the load cell upgrade. I bought the racing sim Humble Bundle last year and I’ve been dying to get started. Every time I watched your livestreams I inched a little closer to pulling the trigger.
Assassin please listen. I've been doing this for 20 years. I'm telling you now you need to return the Fanatec wheel. I promise it will break. I went through over 15 wheel bases in 5 years. Their support is a total joke and they treat you like you are vermin. Their pedal will be fine, The base and rim need to be returned for a refund. Just look at their reviews. 81% of people gave them 1 star. You really should take 10 mins to ask someone before chucking your money away like that.
It doesn't go into VR until you actually get into the car to drive. Use the flat screen display in your headset to get to a race weekend exit the virtual desktop menu and you should be in vr (think it's double click on left oculus button). Join my discord for quicker answers 🤔
Please let me know. I'm thinking about purchasing LMU. It seems that the Quest 3 is connected via VD for recording, but does Overly's Codec show SteamVR or VDXR?
I already tried it today on my Quest 2 bhahaha, although I haven't had any glitches or stuttering (running on RTX4090) - planning the upgrade to Quest 3. Also playing the EAGames WRC with the UEVR hack lol. Too eager to play in VR, and to bash these nice cars on the track! Thank you for the video, sir!
I run a 4080 BUT looking back, I was running virtual desktop AND I was casting to my PC so if I wasn't doing all of that, it probably would have been okay. It does look nice, just not as nice as AMS2 🤔
I agree with the points about jaggies. I tried it for myself just to see and its just not enjoyable atm. The game itself is good. The vr might as well be impossible with how bad it looks
Also have a 5080. The aliasing is terrible. Also many stutters and slow downs. Its not optomised for VR and for me its breaks the imersion. RFactor 2 on the other hand runs great in VR. So Im optomistic for the future. But for now Im not playing this and certainly not paying for DLC until they fix it for VR.
Thanks for the credits buddy!

I ordered a Fanatec bundle yesterday!! Can not wait to get started with sim racing!
Which did you go for? I've got the GT7 branded GT DD Pro with the 8nm upgrade.
Going for a load cell brake pedal next 😊

How's the VR performance? How many fps are you able to get?
I was running at 72fps using AV1 10 Bit codec on my RTX 4080. It ran well on my rig, so I'm optimistic about the bespoke VR mode release
I finally bought AM2 a couple of days ago and I love it. I'm good for now. 😁
AM2 is so good at the moment, I think LMU has potential and I'm looking forward to what they can do with it 😀

I'll wait for official VR support. Thanks for the review!

When they add official VR support, you'll be able to turn FSAA & FXAA back on so it should be okay 👍
i was unable to get it working so I got a refund until we get full vr support
