I’ve been enjoying Lmu so much and love the new alpine as well. Can’t wait for the gt3’s

I wanna play LMU but don't think my 5y old system can handle it properly. Gpu is 5900xt

LMU has great potential my main gripe with it is the FFB, I managed to get it working acceptably but it's really not making me feel the over or understeer, and worse yet lockups seem to come out of nowhere sometimes and I also don't feel when it's about to happen at all. It's better for the GTEs but the hypercars I'm driving much more visually. Obviously being early access the game is quite janky at this point too but that'll get sorted out.

Even though I'm not a good driver, I somehow connected with this game from the start. You could tell from the start the game is difficult. At first, I couldn't even figure out how to get my car out the garage. But somehow it also feels really rewarding. Sure it's fun when you can pick any car you like and start driving in a new sim and after a small time drive well, but I don't think that's what real race cars about. They are not easy, nor do I expect them to be. I don't expect the cars the hold my hand. This game doesn't do the hand holding. I feel I've really found the sim where I want to put the effort in.

Low the game but the performance issues (not optimistic at all) and some other bugs it's hard for me to wanna play it more but I love a online race here and there

I've had it since the start and the issues are minimal for me.

@flinfaraday1821 problem for me is that I can play ACC at 2k/epic and have 80fps+ and in LMU I have 2k/low and 25fps

A lot of people don't like this game because it's legit full sim. You can't compare driving hypercars in iRacing, Ams2, or AC. It's just different.
It's so damn hard. Full skill. No easy catches, no endless grip, no magic TC. This game pulls all the stops out.
After you spend ~10hours just trying to get within 5 seconds of pace without spinning out, you will feel the satisfaction of actually beginning to get down a car series that challenges you on another level.
Yeah, It sucks at first. But the lap time is well earned, and not like the other games where you can put down pace in 30 minutes with a car.

i’ve never driven tin tops in any sim other than rf2, but i’m curious as to how LMU is more of a sim than that or iracing (i know nothing about the game i’m not disagreeing). obviously i know they all have their own unique physics but is “harder” really necessarily more realistic? from your comment it seems like the tyres are more peaky and have noticeably less grip, which is definitely more of a challenge, but i’m failing to see how that inherently makes it closer to the true thing. i wasn’t under the impression other sims are buffing grip and driveability like that (true sims, that is), in fact a lot of real life drivers have critiqued multiple games and sims for their cars being too difficult to catch snaps and less planted compared with IRL. i’m genuinely curious as it’s something i don’t know much about

@@wife9571 in my opinion i wouldn't call lmu any more realistic than ac or iracing or whatever sim, Like you said they all have there little quirks and do some stuff right and some stuff wrong. I think the person you replied too simply thinks it's a full on sim only because of the challenge it represents with the way the tires work especially with the hypercars. That doesn't really mean it's any more of a sim than iracing for example, just might be more of an adjustment for someone coming from another sim were the cold tires aren't as ruthless as they are in this sim. At the end of the day me and im assuming the person that posted the original comment too this thread have never actually driven a real race car so at the end of the day so who knows.

@RyanM12 It's more accurate in literally every sense. Look up the real hypercar drivers who have used the sim. I haven't driven a GTP before so therefore I can't have an informed opinion? Makes no sense. Big logical fallacy. And yes, I am saying in absolute that LMU is more accurate than iracing or ACC. Both of them have beat real life laptimes by literal 10s of seconds. The cold tires thing is also not just "more ruthless" but more real. It's not just added to be a challenge. It's added for realism. I watched these cars race last week, and GTPs were getting passed by non-pro GTD cars on the 1st and 2nd lap of their cold slicks. I have videos of the Acura, Porsche, Cadillac, and BMW all getting passed for 2 laps on cold tires. It's not a joke.
