@@juim1j honestly I do not know. Jimmy just pointed out that to blame sim racing for the falling driving qualities (while using Jann's horrible accident at Nordschleife) was at the very least callous. Also Jimmy Glick picked up fights against so many companies.

I mean, best of luck to the developers on this. This is honestly the only game in MSG's lineup that has any real passion and work behind it. The rest of them either rushed out the door or simply becoming vapourware.
Probably because this is actually made by Studio 397, it seems to be the games made directly by MSG that have issues.

The wall at Porsche Curve holds a special place on this channel after Coin's 500IQ strat of boosting into the wall to break the car to force iRacing to give them a new car 😂
The fact that this game still carries issues that rF2 carries for many many years doesn't make me think that Motorsport Games and Studio 397 will ever solve these issues. From a simulation standpoints it's amazing but the bugs make it less and less attractive as other simulations improve.

The rf2 bugs is why I switched to iracing. Even on it's worst day iracing still works. And if there's anything major iracing has a hotfix within days.
Its early access exactly for that reason so you can report bugs
@@retroBuilds why would Rf2 bugs that lasted for years would be solved suddenly in LMU? It's basically RF2 with a new UI and new contents. Laggy Ui, loading time, etc
God I'm so sick of the iRacing vs RF2 argument... iracings physics are terrible and the community is toxic as hell not to mention that iRacing graphics haven't changed at all since NR2003...

@@ciaranmcguinness8900 There was a squable on twitter between SCG and sim racers, with SCG saying sim racing is not real racing and won't ever come close to it and that infuriated the sim racing community. This led to SCG blocking many peeps, including the likes of Jimmy.

You can actually control the hybrid, at least the regen map and the deploy map, in Kw.
And you better keep an eye on that, in the Peugeot (and the Ferrari, Toyota), it can go all the way up to 200Kw and will deploy over 120kph, which...depletes the battery in less than a sector, while regen at 200Kw means it can be quite nasty under braking. Hybrid management in the LMDh cars is quite easier, can't deploy over 50Kw and it regens at 170Kw.
What an excellent first impression video, you covered almost all the scenarios and looked at the game from a single player perspective which is so rare since most games are always online now, the plug and play with a relatively new wheel is nice to see too, plus you stopping yourself to think of the position that the publisher is in before saying if the game is worth the consumers money , a great expansion of rf2, looking forward to the progress of the game and the full review

Exactly the same structure when EA WRC came out. I still don't know if that game is actually good or not.

@@mtekleel that costs money. A new game engine is required and a lot of the oems dont like their cars being smashed up
Some devs have said the sponsors have in the contract that their logo is recognizable. So damage is dumbed down to avoid breaching contract

Thanks fo the gameplay :) First notice about the AI is a flaw that rF2 also has: the AI does not tow...Seems like once you have passed an AI, they drop in speed and pace. AI does not outbrake you and that is a true shame. I really hope the dev team is able to fix this tow problem as it kills the immersion. Unless the AI is on a different strategy but that needs more time and more experience inclusing pitstops and such

Great review, and looked like you were having fun which is the goal of playing games first and foremost.
Most of the time when a game releases in EA I will wait until its much closer to being a full release but still buy it early enough to get the early price point.
Most games these days have a fairly lengthy EA period and the studios are using the EA players to get feedback and find the bugs and issues.
I think ACC has proven when a studio concentrates on a single racing series that it is possible to really develop the cars and characteristics of each car to closely resemble its real life counterpart against the competition in the game.
This game has the possibility to be one of the top games in the future if it is developed correctly with the right features and modes the players want to see.
Good stuff Jimmer. I'll prob never get to play it as I'm a console pleb

For an EA I find it very good, the base and healthy ffb/physics excellent grapism and immersive sounds is more than I had anticipated! well done s397

Thanks Jimmy, this game actually looks pretty good! The AI is actually pretty impressive, it looks like they put a lot of work into it, especially for multiclass interactions.

Very surprised this game is actually releasing (even in early access). Actually looks good as long as they add some more "game" content to what appears to be a good sim.

I still use rfactor 1 for single player. Edited AIW's and the Enduracers mod with some adjustments I've made to the cars FTW! haha. Really hoping this turns out to be good!

I watching this entire video waiting for my LeMans race weekend to load.
Thanks for your video. I have watched a few live videos with Le Mans game and the game has very good graphics. The AI does look pretty good when watching Jadier's racing at Spa. And the overall game play and menus look very good.
I will not get this game at this time until they provide VR months from now, I don't do online racing anymore - don't have the time, And will I get the game since it only has 7 tracks and no modding - undecided. When VR becomes available and then there is a STEAM sale price, I may get the game just for the VR. I have similar tracks in other games, so nothing is new there. I have RFactor 2 game and really enjoy spending time on it.
This game is too limited in the kind of racing done. I see this game being strictly for online drivers that want to do long endurance racing or team racing. Not into this type of racing at all. Good luck to those that like this kind of thing.

If they get this running properly by launch so they can focus on updates it should be pretty good.

Dodging the slower cars looks fun. It's a like a localized street race on a circuit, where the racers need to avoid crashing into traffic. We might not ever get a street racing sim, but at least this thing, seemingly, exists.

do you think using a round wheel vs a f1 style wheel or vise versa would help improve racing skill in different styles of racing ie trying to match the wheel used with the wheel in the car
It doesn’t really matter, you wouldnt be moving your hands too much anyways

Either way that wouldnt matter, just do what you want, its cheaper to buy one wheel and use it for all but if you can get both then get both, or start a collection. Steering wheels dont affect performance, moreso seating position would matter more then whatd be a few milimeters difference in leverage @@xXCOR3Xx

I love the ISI 2.5 physics engine, by far my favourite engine for sims. And I was so looking forward to the next game Motorsport games made, and would love to support them. Unfortunately however, I don't really enjoy driving LMP1. I like LMP2 and other lesser prototypes, but not really enough to buy a whole game just for them. So I'm in a bit of a predicament.

Not sure why you bring up not enjoying driving LMP1, when Le Mans ultimate has no LMP1´s at all.
Hypercars don't drive like LMP1 anyway. They drive like LMP2s on steroids, so you should like them.
Would be neat for them to add previous seasons as DLC, so we could drive the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO in an official WEC game.
