Absolutely NO ONE ever told me about this...to breathe through my nose. I'm 55 and have had asthma my entire life. It's unbelievable and un acceptable that Pulmonologists and ENT doctors are not educated to know what you are teaching. I'm sure your information has saved lives. From my entire heart... Big pharma pays for the information that doctors are taught in med school and big pharma wants to sell meds, period. They don’t want us to get better, so they give us medications that we have to take and pay for the rest of our lives. This is why many drs don’t teach people to use natural remedies that work. They usually don’t know about them, because doctors would love to make their patients better. If patients were getting better there wouldn’t be such a long wait to see a doctor.

Since I started nose breathing 3 weeks ago I've cut down from taking 7 medications including 3 forms of cortisone to two at the lowest doses only once a day. I'm a severe brittle asthmatic and I'm struggling to understand how I spend 5 decades in ICU, medicated to within an inch of my life and struggling every day and no one told me this. The improvement was immediate, from day 1. This should be impossible but it works.

I remember when I was a kid around 35 years ago, I was in a bike shop and an old bloke (probably around my age now), customer, fit as, told me when riding your bike always breath through your nose. It might have had something to do with this also, I can't remember but he said the hairs in your nose filter out the dust and pollutants as well. I can attest to this. I am now 43 - i've had asthma since I was around 7. Mostly physically-induced, but sometimes allergy induced. Any strenuous physical activity would cause my lungs to seize up. Cut to now - I've been nose breathing for only 1 WEEK and I can now go on a 3 mile run without my lungs seizing up. I breathe through my nose and try to breathe as calmly and steadily as possible. And granted - breathing through my nose hasn't been easy - i've had to force air through my nose all week to really jumpstart my sinuses and open them up. I believe they've atrophied from years of neglect. I'm excited to continue the healing and experience the benefits!

1969, I went as an asthma suffering 7 year old to the school clinic for a general check-up, and within 2 minutes of the lady doctor meeting me, she said "he isn't breathing properly (in through nose)- I'm going to refer him to a physiotherapist for a course of exercises". The result was that over the next few years my asthma faded completely, and I have always automatically breathed with my nose ever since.

What we need is more of "let me show you how". The "show you how's" are too short in duration, and have too much dialog. You're talking too much. Give us a good focused 20 minute session, without repeating all the "why" over and over. It is great to see you got braces and widening your oral arches and opening up your airway.

Hi Yung. if you feel an over reaching need to take a deep breath- then do take the deep breath. Over time practise gently slowing down your breathing. It is not about feeling suffocated or stressed. Also, must practice breathing exercises to improve nasal breathing. Slow breathing improves functioning of the autonomic (autonomic) nervous system. Light breathing means to take less air to your lungs so that you feel air hunger - bit not to feel stressed while doing this. One can breathe low and light at the same time. To utilize the diaphragm, the breath does not need to be hard. Its a balance Deep breathing means diaphragm. We target each are seperately and then bring all three together.

I have been nose breathing for 4 years now. I hardly ever take inhalers now. I would like to point out that deep breaths to your diaphragm are as important as nose breathing. No upper chest breathing. 🙂

      Agreed @JohnDunkley,
And that's from a fellow asthmatic.

If the doctors help people to get rid of, or lessen their conditions in a natural way, big pharma can’t sell as many pills and inhalers. Big pharma pays for a lot of research and then pays for agencies like the fda to tell the public how safe the new drugs are, until the public finds out that meds like viox are causing heart failures. Thank you for your honesty.

I use nasal breathing which produces nitric oxide but i just did a feno test which apparently showed that i had too much nitric oxide in my body....how is this bad?

    • @OxygenAdvantage
      @OxygenAdvantage  Рік тому

      Thanks for the comment @mojopin70
A high result for nitric oxide can be a sign of asthma or other respiratory infection so you may need to check that with a physician as you may require corticosteroid medication.
If you are an asthmatic, then nasal breathing is one of the best things you can do to improve your symptoms.
Also, the gut and liver may be responsible for increased NO production after trauma and hemorrhage.
Excessive NO is also suspected to be a contributing factor in Severe Hemorrhagic Shock which itself can lead to multiple organ failure.

Hi Alison. We recommend using Myotape which safely brings the lips together to support and restore nasal breathing during wakefulness and sleep. Unlike other lip tapes, Myotape daoes not cover the mouth. Instead, it gently surrounds the mouth, bringing the lips together with a light, elastic tension that helps to mantain lip closure and ensure nasal breathing. For more information and ordering, please visit the website myotape.com/.

How did thousand years ago human breathed ? Were they always mouth breathing ? Or are we just been lied to breathing wrong believing its the right way since young age.
Because babies always breath from diaghphram.
When we tape our mouth for sleep , Do we do that temporary until our body gets use to breathing from nose or its Forever process ?
Why doesnt Wimhof mention to breath from nosal if its the natural way ?

Like in the ancient tooth-worm notion lasting millenia that tooth caries was due to a worm the present asthma theory about treating asthma with medication is wrong and we have the asthma-paradox that more medication causes more asthma.
In other cultures mudras such as pressing a finger against the thumb (chin mudra) with mouth closed are used to treat asthma by relaxing our lung airways.
Christian prayer with interlaced fingers is the ambuja mudra.
