I'm from Boston and lived in SoCal and up and down the west coast and this guy has that SoCal smoooove patter of a kind of smart surfer guy who is just SO into his shit
Hey Shawn, I know you get this all the time. But I just wanted to say a heartfelt THANK YOU for being who you are, the way you treat people, all the work you do in sharing all of these absolutely incredible, incredible cars AND people!! Maybe Lord willing one day I can show you my autocross/daily driver 69 gto when my wife and I are done building her!! Take care my friend. God bless you.
I've watched this episode I think half a dozen times at this point and I'm impressed every time I watch even still. What a beautiful beast of steel and technology wrapped in elegance.
The way you hear the whining, the spooling, you think in your head it's some sort of Sci fi supercar. Then you hear that angry roar and this monster of a car passes by
Beautiful machine. I'd like to see this car up against the hoonicorn drift mustang similar in horsepower and design function. They'd be awesome to watch on a trans am road course against each other and against similar GM and Mopar builds
I remember the 1st review! Had not even really known of, or heard of Utopia. WOW! DEFINITELY LIKE/LOVE This Colir Scheme Better! When I first saw the "In Your Face Stark All Red Interior: I Was A Bit Much! I am getting use to it! The Driving Sounds: Another "get use too!" Amazing piece of energy that works! NO trade-Offs! Thank you, J
If the Hoonicorn was a fastback, this is what it would look like. I understand that they are entirely different cars built for different purposes, but this car is mad cool!
@@harmankardon478 Yeah, the looks of the classic mustang are ruined by lowering it that much and adding that horrendous widebody with those fenders; same in the Hoonicorn. Hoonigan cars all look terrible though, I've never understood why they made their cars so unbelievably ugly. Not just the silhouette but those liveries that make your eyes walk out of your head and go on strike.
@@thesprawl2361 and the worst part about them is that they're always unfinished; I mean sure, a project car is never truly perfect but they milk 30 episodes on every build and still leave so many aspects are unpolished and to be desired just to call it the Hoonigan way as if they put their heart into the build in the first place. Typical sellouts, Ken Block was the only reason they were relevant anyway and to this day they won't let the founder rest in his grave...shameless
This car is f-ing awesome. I've been wanting to build a 66-67 Chevy 2 with a Nelson Racing 1750 hp "daily driver " but now I'm second guessing my choice of car and engine.
These old mustangs are beautiful. That sounds amazing too. Just seeing the paddles for gear shift. I’m assuming this car has some serious engineering behind it.
Damn you lucky SOB. What a freaking Masterpiece you get to drive. Normally I can find something about every car to nit pick at, this one I can't. Yes that black paint does the car more justice than the previous matte silver. I can say I even like the stance on this car. I like to see the tires just before the fender opening comes down on the tire, just a very tiny bit. The rear is so spot on with that and I know the front tires get clipped just a bit, but that can't be any other way if you want the whole car to sit perfect. Congrats to Chris on this ride and the team that redid it. Yeah it was amazing before, but this, as impossible to say, one upped it. Chris could not have asked for someone better than you Shawn to treat the car with respect, yet give us a taste of what she is capable of while doing a nice shake down on it. 👌
10/10 for me. I wouldn't even drive this but it a mustang 🐎. And it was built to do what ever you want to do with it. Track or show it off at a car show or something like that
People say art is dead and as far as galleries and in the normal avenues for art it mostly is dead, but the car world is the life support for art. These cars are beautiful and functional absolute works as art and to me single handedly keeping art alive.
Baddest Mustang on the planet! You are one lucky dude to drive it,along with all the other sick cars you get to drive. That transmission is fantastic. Beautiful and talented build, but for one million,I would buy a Corvette ZO6,Maclaren or some other more streetable super car.
The original car is the one that brought me to this channel waaaay back. I think 2.0 is soooo much better than the OG, which was already fantastic on a whole other level.
Absolutely stunning looking Mustang, and some truly amazing engineering gone into this build, I've always loved these early 'Stangs' since I was a kid, you guys are so lucky in the US to have places like these guys who can build a car like this, sadly we don't get to see any this incredible here in the UK. subscribed 👍
I think that the 2016 SEMA show was one of the best of all time IMO. This car was there, Fast n Furious cars, Tony Angelo's Fishtail 'CUDA unveil, SpeedComp's '70 Charger, Speedcore's '70 'CUDA, just to name a few. Really ground breaking influential cars that year!!
The black paint opens the art work on this car so much more, I absolutely love the change and the new look. It looks like a completely different car, well done everyone. Bravo
WOW, what an incredible piece of automotive art. Here in BC Canada we have a law that anything 25 mph over the posted speed limit your car will be impounded for 7 days. Needless to say, I'd make an hour or less😂
Reminds me of the Hoonicorn. That's my favorite mustang that's ever been built. Down to the incredible suspension and brakes, to the super sick custom flat exhaust, and the AWD tranny, so so cool.
I lost 675lbs. On my 66 chevelle using similar methods but used a badass 383 forged internals and ported aluminum heads to produce 625 hps......i ported and water benched the bowls......custom ground my irsken mechanical cam and lifters.....sold it at thunder valley noble oklahoma after two runs for 32 large in 2017......miss my she beast.....
Took about 2 seconds to remember it from a few SEMAs ago due to the color change but otherwise what a monster. Supercharged twin turbo smh.. the new look with all the upgrades really did turn it from 10 to an 11... Just the best of the best here
Never was a huge Ford fan, except a few of the SVT models in the late 90's. And perhaps the sup'd up twin of the Crown Vic (Mercury Marauder). And also the recent Dark Horse, but this one off Mustang, legendary!
Now see this video was done right what do I mean by that. You drove the heck out of the car versus walking around and showing this and showing that the majority of it was driving the Beast all these other videos everybody's got to show you this show you that and spend a minute or two with maybe starting or driving it. Most of the time you're driving the Beast beautiful car very nicely done video
Previously, in silver the details stood out more and the muscularity. These arches are gorgeous, the car seems to float along the road. New wheels are cool!
I’ve missed seeing this car…online and at shows/events. Was truly blessed to have been at the reveal yesterday! Congrats to Chris on the return of his beast, 2.0!! 🙌🏼
Another great video Shawn. You are so lucky to drive a beast like that. I love the red interior and the sound. I'm a Chevy man I have a Camaro but seeing that car and hearing it. Is unbelievable. Thank you for showing this amazing car.

Is there a clutch???
Beautiful car and craftsmanship. Car builders these days truly are artists. Their work goes beyond just drivers
these guys are so damn talented. that fab work alone is beautiful
Hilarious to see the galling on the aluminum parts under hood. All that time and money and they still screwed it up. LOL!
I have always been a Chevy person, but when a car this sick sits in front of you, you pay respect
Ditto
#fuck yo chevy #meathead
It's just,
Badass!
Don't matter what kind it is,
It shows...
🇺🇲🤘🤪🤘🇺🇲
Could you just imagine a camaro version built by them
I disagree
The designer of this car is an amazing communicator.
His knowledge of a wide range of topics is very impressive.

Yea for fuk sake I was thinking the same thing. The dude gets me fired up to wanna drive that car. 6:30am pre work and I'm salivating at the mouth.
@@geargeekpdx3566 Boston/SoCal is a good mix. Cool enough to keep your shit together, with a practical upbringing to handle your business.
Yup, he talked the owner out of $ 1M. Nice car but 1M, I don't think so....
Watching new Autotopia LA drops is like getting a new Hot Wheel as a kid
watched the first 41seconds ....restarted the video 5 more times and now there's a smile I can't get off my face.....🤩

they have a lot in common both ugly and overrated whilst being impressive engineering pieces.
