I've just started getting into watches I have seen so many videos over the last year and I have to agree with my wife that they all look the same I can't really argue with what she saying, so I tell her it's the movement inside but it still looks the same in her eyes, I have to agree with her she won this battle.
Eh, clasp absolutely ruins this one. The case and bracelet profile is so darn nice, then there they go using that thick parts bin clasp. Can't have it all at this price point I suppose. Thanks, Rich.
So i may be mistaken, but this sure seems like the same case/bezel/bracele as the NTH subs from last year...like, identical. Really only missing the drilled lugs but other than that, its the exact same setup.
I was just thinking nearly same thing. I've owned several NTH Subs and very familiart with the case and sans the dial and hands used, I think, nearly all the physical attributes on the case dimensions, profile, bracelet, crown (maybe Spinnaker is a tad thicker), and bezel proportion and grip appears identical to NTH. They don't have drilled through lug holes unlike NTH. They're also 40mm with 300m WR and I think may be a smidgen thinner at 10.5mm. maybe, it's been a while since Ive reference the thickness but it's been one of the thinnest 40mm dive watches w/ 300m WR for a while. I will say you don't get an extra strap with the NTHs.. although they've been know to gift NATO straps with them. Not a bad attempt from Spinnaker, but definitely nothing ground breaking. A solid diver.
What bugs me is that various UA-cam influencers are teaching us that this price level for asian microbrand watch with run-of-the-mill specs and movement is normal . For this price you can have reputable swiss diver with much more prestigious name and higher specs. Take Tissot, Glycine, Mido , Certina
I have cracked three sapphire bezels maybe on door frames but I'm not sure and I had a ceramic bezel pop out and snap in half when the watch hit the concrete floor. Aluminum looks a lot better after that.
@@handlesarethelaststrawiquit you've been unlucky. All mine look brand new, despite a ceramic one coming unstuck and rolling across the concrete. I didn't expect it to survive that.
That logo looks so cheap. They should either put a high quality diamond cut one, or just print it, theirs look like the logos of free watches my mom gets from Avon cosmetics.

Spinnakers released in the last couple years have really nice straps. Even the 300$ ones.

Aluminium bezel insets should be retired. A matt ceramic insert looks as good, and stays looking good
