The casting director went CRAZY on with this. Bob Odenkirk, Gillian Jacobs, John Mulaney, Sarah Paulson, and Jamie Lee Curtis all show up out of nowhere as new characters in one second-season episode. All already well known actors. That's a first for TV. "Why do people say this is a COMEDIEEE!" Exactly my question. I have no idea what they were doing with the Emmy categories there. This show is a drama. Period. Sometimes people are funny, and there are funny moments, but the show is a drama. They swept the Emmy's either way, but still. It's way more than just the alcohol with Donna. Maybe bipolar, maybe something else, but definitely a lot. The alcohol just makes it worse, which is why Nat was pouring it out. Natalie stayed there and toughed it out. Carmie ran away (taking Michelle's offer) to continue his famous-restaurant chef journey. So from what you said towards the end, it sounds like you're more of a Carmie than a Natalie. You got away from it.
