Boderry Watches reached out to me recently to request I do an impartial review of their Field Watch. The Boderry Voyager A11T-02.
I had seen a similar watch in the past having owned a Bertucci.
I expected a certain quality from the watch given the price but forget the price point here!
If I were to class this watch succinctly it would definitely be a contender for
"THE BEST AUTOMATIC FIELD WATCH UNDER $100".
A bold claim, but a claim I am happy to field...sorry...no pun intended!
The Boderry Voyager is a cool looking piece. it's rugged and has an accurate Seiko NH35 powering it. The A11T-02 in White (which is more Polar Silver) is a stunner to look at but at night the lume is only OK....BUT you can buy the black dial version which has superior lume given that the indexes, the hands and the arabics are all lumed. Job done!
Check out the review and see if the Boderry Voyager Field Watch A11T-02 can fulfill a need for you. Is it the new Best Budget Field Watch?

Don't write ' an absolute must '. My credit card can't take any more 😂. Thanks John. Sitting down to watch this with a cup of coffee.
Haha...oops...sorry Mark. Enjoy the coffee! I was VERY surprised by this one :)
@@johnswatchjoint 10% off the first order is a nice touch as well.
Just noticed that after I posted the video. Wasn't doing that yesterday...maybe I was using my VPN...all good though !
I love my Bertucci but their prices are double this and no NH35 just a quartz and mineral glass. I love the Voyager Titanium Automatic Field Watch | Vintage Noir for $97. What a steal!
Credit to Boderry for its titanium range and for then making this field watch in a lovely bronze. Thanks John for the showcase.
It was a pleasure with this one. A nice find. Real value for money and cheaper than can be found on AliExpress at the moment :)
If Cestrian didn’t come out with their Field Watch, this little guy would be on my wrist as we speak. As it is, I may still get one because I don’t have a titanium watch, and I want a white dial Field Watch. Great review sir!
Cheers Albert. Too many good field watches popping up. ....it's a conspiracy! ;)
Great looking shipping container Norman. Keep up the good work 👍
John, huge credit to Boderry, after complaints about Miyota 8215 issues in the first version, to engineer a NH35 version. Glad you noted this.
I have this exact model and I'm about to sell it. There's nothing wrong with it, but I find I just never wear it. I think I just prefer watches with dark dials.
I’m thinking about getting one for the opposite reasons I have a Seiko 5 with a black dial, but i personally don’t really like it with lighter color straps so I usually only use black, grey, or blue natos
You are a dangerous man John, I have watched several reviews of this watch and thought meh! Then I watch your review and I'm seriously tempted 🤣 . That lighter dial looks better than other versions to me, it's the one I would go for despite the lume.
I have been called many things but not dangerous... haha 😆. When they reached out for a review I requested this one specifically as it just talked to me. Glad I did. White would have been boring. The Polar Sheen as I call it is awesome for such a budget friendly watch :)
nice review John, looks like another coming my way
I have one , and i can say these are an absolute steal .
punch well above its weight , i like it .looks more expensive than it is .
It has a feel of quality well above its sale price that's for sure 😊
Just got my silver dial version on the tan strap like yours and I’m really happy with it.
Nice. Well done. Wear it with pride :)
Amazing value
Great watch for the price :)
Sweet little watch. It's done right in almost every aspect, for instance the colours of dial, hands and indeces really work well together. It appears to be put together neatly. I even like the strap, although I'm generally not a huge fan of natos. The lume is OK. There is not a lot to expect from those tiny lumed dots around the dial but the hands do reasonably well. A compass rose would be better suited for the caseback but that's basically a non-issue. All in all this review has surprised me.
The watch surprised me too as I did not know what to expect. A lot of Watch for little Dosh!
It was slow to ship but just got it today. Good value watch. Mine came in a plastic shipping container.
Haha. Nice :)
How much time did it take for shipping? And at what price did bought the watch for ?
It's a good looking watch I'd prefer a vh31 thank you for all your hard work John I'm off to Scotland for holidays in 3 days wish me luck with the weather!
Ouch...you'll need it. Happy jollies though :)
Another great review. Can you get your hands on the new Tactical Frog FXD Solar Chronograph? Would love to see a review. Cheers
One I am looking at but tapped out as I have about 12 watches in for review haha 😆
Cool vid, and thanks for sharing. I already have a Bodberry micro-rotor, which I like a lot. I clicked on your Bodberry link and was UNABLE to find the sale price for either the titanium or bronze. Both watches were $20 more than your advertised price. The additional straps were pried as you stated.
Please read the description below the video :(
You're a cruel man, John! you just had to go and review a watch I've been wondering about for the past week! It's a really intriguing field watch, and for that kind of money I feel like it's a just a hell of a value. Might spring for the bronze!
Haha....I've been called Dangerous and now Cruel on the same day...gonna have to start looking over my shoulder! It is a fantastic watch at that price ;)
An interesting little Watch, I may start a miniature shipping container collection LOL.
Bank balance currently in ITU.
Haha...I am skint but have a cupboard full of new watches for review ...scary!
A ship's wheel seems fairly appropriate for Scottish fields.
Aye...fair enough haha!
Acabo de comprar la version con complicacion de dia y fecha con correa nato, creo que boderry esta dando mucho valor por tu dinero con este reloj, $87 dolares por todo lo que obtienes, sin suda una de las mejores compras por menos de 100 dolares.
👍🙂
...and they did such a nice job on the back 😂
Nice video. Do you think it will fit well on a 6.4 inch wrist?
You may be pushing it I think 🤔
Nice watch, but do you have a link to Norman's Shipping Container Joint?
Haha...perhaps I should call him back for a shipping news section!
I like the start of your video😅😅😅
We all need a laugh in this world 😂
We all need a laugh now and again 😂
When I tried to order one with a black dial because the lume is better, it was on sale for $79 but just before I go to pay, the price shot up to $97???
Tried it 3 times and did the same each time 😮
Remember you will have shipping and import fees. This is standard and because I am in the UK I cannot work it out for anyone ;)
Tried to buy the white/silver dial and it did exactly the same 😮
@@johnswatchjoint thanks John. Wasn't thinking properly for a minute there. Keep up the good work
Look at my reply
John has just reminded me to allow for shipping & customs fee.
I wasn't thinking properly.
Keep up the great videos John 👍
My one week old Boderry Voyager rattles when I shake it. Is it normal?
If it's on a bracelet then it will.
@@johnswatchjoint Don't have a metal bracelet. Definitely the watch internal is rattling. Operation seems normal however.
Return it.
@@johnswatchjoint Good idea.
Yup, he finally lost it 😂
A very solid offer, the bronze are very tempting, yet I think it would benefit a lot from smaller proportions, like 38 by 46.
Maybe I'm a bit tough but those lugs didn't skip gym days, they look big.
Aye...ye get all sorts here haha 🤣
Theres plenty of small field watches out there. I love that this one is a bit larger all around for those of us with larger wrists. I can actually pull this off with 8" wrist. Anything in the 30s looks like a ladies watch on me unless it has a really long lug to lug
@@dubester1982 Sure, to each his own 😁 in 38 I think you can put the Hamilton khaki in your radar, it actually has a good presence on the wrist compared to its pictures and mesurements.
@@H0kram that one has been on my radar for awhile, but the lug to lug is a bit shorter then I'd prefer. I can make that work but 48+ lug to lug works best for me. I do love Hamilton though!
At that price I assumed it was quartz. NH35 for less than 80 USD?
It's nuts 🔩!
Reloj muy bonito, pero la correa muy ancha, mucho mejor con una de piel cuero marrón o camel, de 22 mm y 18 mm en la hebilla.
Is there a VH31 version? 😊
No
@@johnswatchjoint Bugger...
Nice looking pieces but too large for a field watch. Max 38mm. Also, looking a bit too thick.
You're on your own , others welcome the size! But everyone has their own preference. Thanks for sharing :)
Really like the watch John. They have also done many different styles which is awesome. But u know my problem John.
Skinny wrist syndrome. 48 lug to lug will bury me.
Yes...I understand. It is an awful affliction. At least the last couple of years has been better for us with smaller releases 😉
Nice watch 👍
It sure is
Prices have skyrocketed since...
That's the thing with spot deals but use the link to have a look on their site to see when the Black Friday sales start....you may get a surprise 🫢
