Ordered the bronze with black sandstone dial and can't wait to give it a go. Stayed away from Boderry for a while thinking they were just cheap Chinese junk, then I saw the bronze and for $140 I figured why not give it a try. Won't be out very much if I don't like it and if I do then Ill get another in titanium. Don't blow it Boderry! Great video man, straight to the point.
Great review . I've got the white dial with bracelet on order so always nice to get confirmation with what you thought was a good watch . 100 pound all in on Ali , first titanium watch , I'm looking forward to receiving it
I own both the Bertucci and the Boderry field watches, I actually had three Bertucci watches but gave one to my grandson. After wearing the Boderry for 4 weeks now, I actually prefer it over the Bertucci. While it is scary close in design there are some notable differences that give it its own look. The taper going around the watch to the lugs gives it a better look in my opinion. The size specs are close but not exactly the same. You are stuck using NATO straps with the Bertucci but can use the titanium bracelet or a nato on this one. I agree that the gap from the pin to the case is a lot and can make a regular two piece strap look odd, but you can still use them on the Boderry whereas the solid lug on the Bertucci precludes that option for their watches. I will probably add at least one more Boderry Voyager to my collection. I agree on the date wheel color and may swap out the NH35 movement with the white background on the date wheel for one that is black, that is definitely not a deal breaker but would add to the overall look of the watch. Thanks for the video and review.
Great Video ! Ordered my Boderry Field Titanium watch on Valentine Day 2024 ! Replaced the watchband with the thinner NATO-TM strap... And added a Suunto button clip-on compass. Like the Automatic movement so do not have to worry about over winding the watch ! Only complaint is Made in China... Looking at the Bertucci watch in Titanium with Crystal and maybe Solar and Tritium (Assembled in the USA...). And if Timex could be a Triple "T" watch... tjl
Have received the bracelet version, now that is a nice watch. So light and the grey TI lok is awesome. Very happy with it, sized up right and it is not rattly, a nicer clasp would be good, but at this price point I am not going to complain. Will make a good daily beater to wear along with the SD 1954.
Too much of a clone of an homage? Stop copying my copy! I decided on the Boderry after spending an hour on the Bertucci site going through all their watch specs. All these faces are an homage to the old Bulova field watches made for the US military that go back at least as far as the 50's. From the train tracks to the font, it's a blatant copy although the train tracks can also be seen on 1940's British military watches. For $238 you can get the 38mm Bulova with a stainless case, mineral glass, and Miyota 8S20 movement if this is too much of a copy of a copy of a copy.
@@max420thc I have to agree with you on that. I have a few Bertucci watches and like them just fine, but find since I got the Boderry I am wearing that more than the Bertucci. I have added several watches with mechanical auto movements and find that they are my go to watches.
I just pulled the trigger on the salmon dial for 127 AUD which is unheard of for the specs at this price point that includes free delivery to OZ. For context, I have the Citizen Men's Super Tough Titanium Eco-Drive WR300 which is a beast but it costs five times more! The only gripe I have with the Boderry is the iAutomatic movement. The Citizen Eco-drive is solar with 6 months of power reserve in the shade better timing, and lume that would have Stevie Wonder begging for sunnies. If I was ever lost after a bender in the wild the extra investment would be worth it. Great review BTW
I had heard that this model use to show problems with the hands but it looks awesome to me. As you say it seems the Bertucci (USA watch with completely Italian name xD) but with better specs and for less price!!! I will consider buy one after your video, thanks a lot!
People have complained about seconds' hands stuttering in the first pieces, that used a Miyota 8215 which is prone to this issue (especially with the long seconds' hand) . Boderry then switched to the Seiko NH35 and the problem seems to be addressed.
I've always really liked the Bertucci's, so this one is right up my street..but..the reason why I never pulled the trigger was because of the long lug to lug - I think they would look waaaay to long for me. I'd love to see one of these watches with a compact lug to lug of 46mm. Oh and yup, it's another weird name I agree but still way better than Sportbagel 😁
You are comparing a Bertuccito a a Boderry, but that is a quartz watch vs an automatic Seiko movement for the same price. If I am paying around that money I will go with the automatic every time.
I hear a rattle when I shake my Voyager lightly. Was it always there and I did not notice? I had it for 7 days and it has been -4 seconds per day. Pretty good. The rattling sound worries me.
I am looking for a slim watch because I have a slim wrist. I love the style and colors of this watch but I’m afraid it will be too bulky on me. Any recommendations?
The Bronze Boderrys were all sold out . the green and orange dial with bronze did look good . So i went to the Boderry site rather Ali Express and ordered one . Will my mind be blown ?
Got one for 100 dollars and 80 cent, incl 10 percent discount. Free shipping. 8-12 days. Seems like a steal for an automatic titanium field watch. Thanks. If the van man turns up with it on his wrist I’m going to blame you! Sunday morning purchases, very dangerous!
Quickest 'sell' ever. Saw the video, bought the watch...15 mins max. Paid £70 including sale price and 10 percent code for the grey dial with day/date. Now to sell some stuff!
Who knows, with enough feedback, they could do another version? If this one is popular enough (which I'm sure it will be) I am sure we will see more from Boderry.
As a guy with an 8" wrist, I prefer the wider lugs and long lug to lug, and overall beefiness that they afford, and imo the bracelet suits it well. A lot of other field watches look silly on my wrist so this one was a revelation
The closest I'll get to Bo Derek plastered to my wrist. Looking forward to their F-91W homage. Still a cool watch though. Formex Field vibes with the hands and minute track perhaps.
I love these video's - had to laugh though that you thought the name Boderry was a weird name - Come on no name will ever sound as daft as Rolex for a watch name - sounds like a paint roller to me :-))
I'd get a Bertucci if the springbars weren't fixed in place and if it had sapphire crystal. I'm just not a big NATO fan. They look cool sure, but when I'm doing the dishes, with a steel bracelet or leather or rubber on a deployant clasp It's "click click" then into the back pocket. NATOs are a lot of fscking about really and just a pain in the rear end which I have no patience for. So I ordered a Boderry (Bo Derek?) and I'll have it within 24-48 hours. I have a chunky padded distressed-leather strap which is a greyish-green on a StrapCode deployant clasp which I'll stick it on. Should pair well. I'm getting the white (silvery opaline) dial version. The only thing I'm worried about is when I ordered, the website looked like I might have been getting a Miyota but the day after I ordered it had been updated to say NH35 so I don't know what I'm going to get - hope to God it's the NH35 and not the wierd-ass Miyota.
@ i have two dead ones in the sock drawer I bought in Vegas, one is titanium, both cost under $100. I do look at San Martin hard but right now only have Tissot, Orient, Seiko, and three Hamiltons. My resistance to Chinasium comes from all the other products we buy that don’t last, and are stolen copies of original products. I have a philosophical issue with theft. Like tin BBQs that look like Weber, light bulbs with CSA Approved stamps on them that fail in two weeks, Japanese labelled knives made of pot metal, trailer tires that blow out and end up in lawsuits, a d on and on. Makes me wary of supporting industrial theft and crap made to sell, not made to last.
When you think about it Rolex is a weird name. We are just used to it. So far I like my boderry voyager. Got the titanium bracelet with it.

I give this Boderry watch a 10 , just like Bo Derek .😊
The watch is certainly not a dud-ly as the watch offers Moore than most at this price point!
Two sets of spring bar pin holes is a nice touch!
I was surprised to see that!
Great review . I've got the white dial with bracelet on order so always nice to get confirmation with what you thought was a good watch . 100 pound all in on Ali , first titanium watch , I'm looking forward to receiving it
I read Boderry, I hear Bo Diddley. Decent for the dosh , nice work.

And the Boderry isn't quartz, it is automatic.
How about the fitting? I think boderry is around 40mm which is too big for a field watch for most people

Bertucci does not have a automatic watch . I love the solid lugs that do not use spring pins.
But I can’t stand quartz watches.

Better than "Teudix" and "Handlove"

I've got mine in bronze. It looks weird out of the box but I've ordered a new strap for it and can't wait for the patina.

Nice watch, but I purchased white dial. How can they afford the selling price with these high specs?

I think the Miyota doesn't hack while the Seiko movement does. So, it'd be easy for you to tell.
