Just a word on tritium....its great!...i bought a Epoch Time watch for the sole purpose of checking out a tritium watch, and while the watch itself is of average quality and not very remarkable, the tritium kicks any other lume off the boat,it is amazing.

I would go for the Cadisen over the San Martin BB58 but very hard to decide between the seagull 1963 and the Baltany Tricomplex...seagull would probably edge the decision because of the sale price. What can you say about the Steeldive 1970 keeps getting better and keeps getting cheaper. If I didn't have one already this would be a sure buy👍
Thank you! The Seagull is mechanical and more classic, but also more fragile. If you are in need of a daily watch then definitely the Baltany is the right choice, then they are 2 very different watches, why not have both? I do 😁

I assume you are referring to the 3 homages. The best built quality I guess would go to the BB58, but it's very, very close, and the Pelagos homage has that on the fly adjustment that is just crazy good for the price.

Hi) I would just like to mention an amazing watch that I don't think you ever reviewed and it's an absolute steal. The Specht and Sohne "Aquanaut Chronograph" (Model SP0006) which is basically a perfect clone of the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph. It's a quartz movement (owned by Seiko). I already own the orange strap version and just ordered the newly released rose gold with the coffee colour strap.(which was my favourite colour combination but they only had it on their Automatic version (non-chrono) but for some reason only now they released it for the chronograph also. On Sale now you can get it for less then 50eur which is insane. This is an absolute blind buy and I'm daring you to review it😄 You can thank me later))

Au fait tu sais quel est le mouvement de la montre ? Je l'ai acheté parce que Merkur ne m'a jamais déçu mais ils ne sont pas très bavard sur ce qui tourne dans cette montre.... peut etre un de leur tanji ?

"Proper quartz". An oxymoron. If quartz was suitable for anything but disposable crap-toys, there would be plenty of "proper quartz" watches out there. As it is, there are lots of mfgs using the mecha-quartz movements, with or without chrono functions. And there's the big dollar crap Seikos with quartz that cost as much as an Omega auto. Knock yourself out. But a cellphone works better and is cheaper. I have that Baltany chrono. It's nice, esp the crystal, but the PT5000 Proximas and Cronos are nicer.

If you'd think of that a bit, you'd realize there are plenty of work and social situations where a watch is irreplaceable. I'm trying to find a good quality, field/pilot style quartz (not mecha-quartz) watch, but not overpriced (around $200 or less), for a present... few of them. And, believe it or not, it's pretty hard to find such thing. Tho, there are plenty of mechanical crap-toys out there, with every imaginable design possible. The Boderry Voyager watches are not shipping. I ordered mine over a month ago and the tracking has not moved. It's clear they do not have them.

@@Horologique It has the TMI VD53C movement. It's equivalent to the Seiko VK movement but not sweeping but still excellent.
