Lol...his knife skills and the terms he uses are trademark of chefs. As someone who is married to a chef...I could tell right away that this man knows the kitchen, and not just as a hobby.
My dad always told me growing up that Korea was very beautiful & everyone was so nice when he was in the Korean War. Since my daughter bought your cookbook for me I have tried so many things. I'm putting gochujang in everything. Thanks so much for these videos, recipes, and yourselves. You both make my day a helluva lot brighter!!
Grandma from Canada here. Thank you for respecting mothers who cook for family😊. I have enjoyed my journey with korean cooking. Thanks to you , I have been able to introduce my family to korean food. My all-time favourite is veg pancakes. I make a stack and refrigerate for week for quick meals. The airfryer reheats beautifully. Blessings to you!
I love your book, Aaron. I've made most of the recipes, and the family are always so impressed LOL I keep telling them you wrote the recipes in such a way that not even I can screw them up. The Gyeran Mari are firm favourites in our house for breakfast or as a snack.
I wish more men pampered their wives and honored their mothers here in this country by cooking and appreciating them like you do. I hope you get your Play Station, for Christmas, Aaron! 🎄
I’ve often thought that if I won the lottery the first thing I’d do is hire a chef to make me wonderful healthy food all the time! Claire is so lucky 😊
I really appreciate having a whole menu planned for me. My family has been loving my efforts at Korean cooking, but I'm often stumped at how to round out a menu since the tastes are new to me too, so this is super helpful! The cookbook is on my Christmas list, but if Santa forgets, I'm buying it for myself! 😊
That was a feast of deliciousness 😋 👌 One of your best. Those knife 🔪 skills with the carrot🥕 that went into the eggs were impressive. I kept looking for Hodu to get in her bed but she never showed, lol. Take care guys & stay safe.🙏
Aaron, my family is hosting a dinner Christmas party for my mom's many sisters and their families. Can you please make a video for food ideas that would work for a group? Preferably one that would impress my family, make my aunts wish they were younger and my sister-cousins wish we weren't related.
I LOVE Oi Muchim 😊 There's a Korean market close to my house and they always have it fresh made along with kimchi and a wide array of assorted Korean pickles. I have a bunch of cucumbers in the fridge so maybe I should try making my own 😁
I love your channel so much! Just bought your book, and it's a great success with both me and mh boyfriend. I'm a food lover and I have korean roots, but don't know that part of my family, but it's great to be able to try out some korean food this way :D
Looks great. My Korean breakfast is scrambled eggs with ham, pepper cheese, bell peppers, unions and then a generous helping of homemade radish kimchi. Kimchi makes any breakfast spectacular. Mmmmm good.
I work the late shift and I'm bad at time management (not to mention washing dishes), so my go-to 'Korean Breakfast' from Aaron's collection is the very simple: leftover bowl of rice topped with runny fried egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, toasted sesame seeds, and, if I'm really organized that morning, green onion (to make it more beautiful, and therefore more delicious) It is👌 perfect 👌 That said, I can't wait to get a copy of his book and devote some time to actually cooking delicious Korean foods, like this meal 🤤
If I make a larger batch of the soup, like you did in the video, how long will it keep and can I reheat it with spinach inside? Thank you for the lovely cooking videos and all the best for you and Claire!😊❤
It can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and yes! You can simply reheat it with the spinach inside. The spinach will get more soft and tender and the broth will get much deeper as you boil, so I think you will love it more. Thank you so much for your kind words and enjoying our videos!!! 🥰🙌 (For more details or a list of ingredients, please check out the written recipe in the description or here. aaronandclaire.com/traditional-korean-breakfast-you-can-make-at-home/#google_vignette)
Cookbooks tend to be things you occasionally flip through and probably put back on the shelf without having cooked anything. Your cookbook is such a pleasure to look at and read through, I kinda get lost in it for hours at a time. I've tried the Gyeran Mari recipe, it was delicious! I'll give the spicy pork a try soon :)
As an American living in Korea this was difficult for me to comprehend, how one can eat the same foods for all the meals. On the flip side, it was difficult for my In-laws to understand why I wanted different foods for breakfast.
Hi! I'm from Poland. You have great ideas for delicious Asian dishes. I use your recipes in my kitchen, I cook for my wife. If you publish your books in Polish, I will certainly buy them.
You can buy his book now as you can understand English. The book is really good and easy to understand. So it‘s a good way to support Aaron and Claire. The dishes are delicious.
I appreciate how so many Asian cultures appreciate breakfast, but sort of forget dinner. I am the opposite. My breakfast is a bowl of Honey Nuts. But I spend hours on dinner.
Finally, my local Tesco supermarket is selling gochujang (Sun Hee brand). Only in small tubs for £3 but my goodness is it delicious. Yes it's hot but not stupid hot and it has a really nice flavour too. So happy.
I’ve lived in namyoung dong for four years. So annoying when chefs in western countries change the Korean recipes to suit the host country’s palette. I like your recipes because it’s authentic. Thanks!
The egg omelet is great. I’ve done it 2 or 3 times now (getting better each time), and even my 20-year-old son made it. Thanks for the recipe! (And by the way my son gave me your book for Christmas!)
Спасибо за все рецепты что делитесь с нами . Спасибо что показываете все ингредиенты , соусы и пасты которые добавляете в блюда . Люблю ваш канал . Здоровья вашим рукам .
the day I'll do this much work for breakfast (which I usually don't even eat) won't ever come, but this will just as well work for a nice and different lunch or dinner and I'll be making this soon!
I love trying your recipes, youve introduced my house to new methods and it's so fun eating rectangle layered eggs. Its like im a kid again eating. love it. Videos are fun to watch too. I smile watching and cooking. haha. thank you both. stay fun.
Great video keep it up!! Congratulations on publishing your book!! Yeah!!! But chance will there be a Korean Language Version of the cookbook? I am learning Korean :) 파이팅!!
Aaron, could you do a video on how you sharpen your knives? I got two nice cleaver style knives that were made in Thailand from my local Asian store and the shopkeeper suggested using a whetstone but I don’t know to use one properly.
Just made another pot of soup, but this time with pork belly (pre-boiled and fat removed) and cabbage. It was even better than the last batch. Thank you, again!!
That looks so good. I want that cucumber salad! Hey Aaron, how well does the cucumber salad match with fried fish or shrimp? Feeling like some batter fried Perch (fish) and that cucumber salad looks like it will make me happy.😁
My copy of your cookbook arrived the other day and after watching this video I just had to try making gyeran mari. It turned out beautiful for a first try. Thank you for the tip about using two spoons! ❤
Mmm... That's so much more delicious than the oatmeal or bagels that are standard fare in America! Great tips at the end for how to do it fast - I'm going to try this! It will be fantastic!
Yes, it’s Korean spinach but it doesn’t need to be specially Korean spinach. You can use any kinds. (Baby spinach works great in this recipe, but I think the water spinach is too hard or tough for this soup.) 😊🙌
All of this food looks wonderful and I would love to try it. But also. If I ate this for breakfast it would probably kill me. Toast is too spicy for me first thing in the morning.
looks delicious! Even tho spinach is the one green I don't really like, I can't wait to try it. But, fyi, in the US boston butt IS JUST ANOTHER NAME for PORK SHOULDER... yeah! makes zero sense to us too.
They are coarse chili pepper flakes. Normally, we use coarse chili pepper flakes for all-purpose cooking and fine ones for a more vivid red color, but as long as it says gochugaru (고춧가루) on the package, you can still use it. Don’t worry about it! 🤣 Thank you so much for enjoying our recipes and even picking our book for your brother! So sweet of you! 😁👍
Claire is such a lucky girl! My chef husband rarely cooks for me. After work, if left on his own he will eat anything he doesnt have to cook for his dinner. Even if its just a few packs of crackers. So...im the main cook at home since the last thing he wants to do when he gets home from cooking for 14+ hours at the restaurant is cook in our own kitchen, lol....plus i dont want him to starve or subsist on packs of crackers and bags of chips while at home. Hes an excellent chef...but ive surpassed him with home cooked comfort meals, while hes superior at gourmet cooking and plating.
I didn't realize Aaron was actually a Chef 😮 I thought he was a comedian with cooking skills 😂😅😂
😂🤣 he's good at both
Lol...his knife skills and the terms he uses are trademark of chefs. As someone who is married to a chef...I could tell right away that this man knows the kitchen, and not just as a hobby.
Considering how much effort he puts into his corny jokes, this comment is probably the biggest compliment you could have paid him!
Aaron, you eptomize the saying;"happy wife, happy life"! 😉 Looks so delicious. 😊❤
😍😍😍😍😍

Can confirm, the cookbook is fantastic. I especially love Claire's notes!
I love your book, Aaron. I've made most of the recipes, and the family are always so impressed LOL I keep telling them you wrote the recipes in such a way that not even I can screw them up. The Gyeran Mari are firm favourites in our house for breakfast or as a snack.

If there is one of Claire's favorite dishes then you know it's gonna be great to try. Thanks Aaron for the recipes.
I asked my friend for Christmas your cooking book. I CANNOT WAIT TO COOK UR RECEIPTS ❤ 8:35
I love your cookbook! My husband bought it for our collection. We're really enjoying it- thanks so much!
Thank you so much for letting us know. It means a lot to us~! 😁🙌🙌

The taste test part is great and makes your cooking show stand out
That was a feast of deliciousness 😋 👌 One of your best. Those knife 🔪 skills with the carrot🥕 that went into the eggs were impressive. I kept looking for Hodu to get in her bed but she never showed, lol. Take care guys & stay safe.🙏
We’ll tell Hodu to show up next time. 😂😂 Take care & have a great weekend, Bonnie! ❤️
I love the recipes and Claire’s insightful reviews.
Hey Claire, I think Aaron might like a PlayStation for Christmas. Its just a guess, but I do have really good intuition. 😆
Thanks for the hint 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love this soup for breakfast! Protein packed and savory!
Yeah! It's the best for breakfast! 😍
Aaron make me breakfast in bed too lol 😂
Haha, sure thing! If only I could send breakfast through the screen. 😂🍳
That was my first thought too!
Thanks!

Love your channel. Saved me many times with the delicious recipes 😊
Thanks! I'm so glad to hear that! 😍
Looks great. My Korean breakfast is scrambled eggs with ham, pepper cheese, bell peppers, unions and then a generous helping of homemade radish kimchi. Kimchi makes any breakfast spectacular. Mmmmm good.
I've been looking for a "Korean breakfast" recipe and this looks perfect! 👌🏻 definitely going to be making this 👍🏻👍🏻
I'm so glad to hear that! 😍 Please give these try and let us know how it was! 😍

Looks good, honestly I clicked for the cucumber, I thought it was zucchini, looked like the first zucchini I ever wanted to eat hehe.
Aaron your knife skills are epic ❣️👋🇨🇦
Korean breakfast looks suspiciously like Korean dinner.
🤣🤣🤣👍
This breakfast looks amazing! Thank you for sharing.

Just made some cucumber salad. It was very yummy! Thank you! More importantly, I can’t believe how easy the recipe is!!!
Look so fancy ❤ like a special breakfast for special occasions ❤❤
you eat this and its nap time so you need a second breakfast and then more naps. SO GOOD
Claire, you lucky girl having a chef preparing your food. I wish I had that possibility.
As an American living in Korea this was difficult for me to comprehend, how one can eat the same foods for all the meals. On the flip side, it was difficult for my In-laws to understand why I wanted different foods for breakfast.
Thank you Aaron, yummy it all looks amazing 😋 Claire has a wonderful husband and she has the best job ever!! 😆 Fantastic 💓

So happy for you~! 😍
"even clare made it" such a confident boost, I might give it a try lol
It looks yummy! I want to make it for my kids. I might have to omit the spice for them or put only a little bit
To make it less spicy for your kids, you can always reduce the chili pepper flakes and skip the fresh chilies. 😊🙌🙌
Looks delicious!
Thanks! 😍

I think aaron is really trying to drop hints that claire needs to get him a PlayStation for Christmas 😜
🤫🤫🤣
What kind of spinach is that? Is it Korean Spinach? Or I can use spinach for salad or the water spinach?
Yes, it’s Korean spinach but it doesn’t need to be specially Korean spinach. You can use any kinds. (Baby spinach works great in this recipe, but I think the water spinach is too hard or tough for this soup.) 😊🙌

Btw Aaron... I love your cookbook. It's fantastic.
At this point Aaron is the cooking house wife now 🤣 This is an ideal breakfast for a good morning
Looks so yum😋

Aaron,
Are those course or fine chili pepper flakes? I want to send your book and some of the ingredients to my brother for Christmas. Thanks.
They are coarse chili pepper flakes. Normally, we use coarse chili pepper flakes for all-purpose cooking and fine ones for a more vivid red color, but as long as it says gochugaru (고춧가루) on the package, you can still use it. Don’t worry about it! 🤣

@AaronandClaire please make watermelon rind kimchi 🙏
Claire is the most spoiled wife in Korean-I hope you give Aaron lots of kisses to thank him. 🤗
6:09: "...mine is perfeeeect!" 😂
(My cooking skills are weak, so I rarely get to say that.)
Your cooking skill are gorgeous ❤😢🎉
돼지고기 제육볶음은 당연히 맛있어요!😀
Aaron, are you like a real chef?
Love it ♥️✨
Yummy ! ❤
