Hey everyone! I know this is a different kind of video, but I wanted to try something new. I hope you can still get some enjoyment out of it, or it at least provoked your thoughts. Also: The book of Iona is the same thing as the Book of Kells, the book of Kells just originated in Iona.
This movie was great. So good that it doesn't need any morals.Because I loved it,but I didn't learned any morals from the film the first time I saw it.Thanks for the underrated video.
boy, I was going to watch your video, but I think I might watch the movie some day. But I was like, yeah. I'll watch it so that he can get the views and view time at least, so I muted it and set it to play in a other window after the "there will be spoilers" bit. :D So maybe after I see the movie then I'll return and watch you video with it visible and not muted. ;)
I respectfully disagree. Although "The Secret of Kells," is the only Cartoon Saloon film I remotely enjoyed (and yes, I've seen all their feature films to date), I can't say it blew me away. I wasn't impressed by the minimalist design for the film; I've seen classic Disney animated films and Studio Ghibli movies that ooze with more flavor, character, personality, color and roundness.
Aiden is not a biblical figure. What do you think biblical means? He's a religious man, like literally all the characters, because they're monks in a monastary. They're not villagers in a village. Brendan is a monk when the movie opens.
...why would he spend time recording and then editing a review for a movie he didn't even watch. Like please, even if he's wrong on some things, use your brain a little.
The mispronunciation is quite annoying though. I’m gonna put the stuff here because it was frustrating me: -aisling = ashling -crom cruach = krawm krooawk -abbot cellach = kellawk (These are not perfect; for one, one of the Irish pronunciations of ch is literally just untranscribable in English because it doesn’t exist, but yeah)
@@Jovici.MP3 Then why mispronounce names that are used dozens of times in the movie? Why not pronounce them as they are correctly pronounced in the movie? It's like watching iron man and insisting on calling Tony Stark, Tinny Stork.

it looks amazing :D
I have loved this movie ever since I saw it as a kid. It's definitely a hidden gem and I adore the music.
Cellach isn’t Brendan’s dad. He’s his uncle. His actual parents were killed by the Vikings Cellach wants to stop.
An underrated master piece
I’ve watched the Secret of Kells 4 times. I adore the scene with the one-eyed shadow worm beast.
That might just be the best part in the entire movie aside from the scenes with the Vikings.
Aisling is read as ash-ling
Crom Croach is read as kroom crook
"Brendan is like a monk which is ironic bc that's what he becomes"
Brendan: *literally was a monk from the feckin start
I love the way you made this video, it's really fucking good
For me it's literally nostalgia! But i forgot this movie somehow :/
Really great video. It's always great to hear other people talk about this film.
Although, Cellach is Brendan's uncle not father.
First thing that came in my mind after seeing crom is a viper fish
So agree, although breadwinner is better IMO. It just feels so real and everything good about Kells is there too.
Breadwinner doesn't have Aisling :P

I agree with everything you say, I love this movie!!!👍!!!
Oh,I've seen Song of the Sea.

I watched it with my mom and we just were like "eh" but I guess that's why it's an opinion and to each their own.
TRUUUUUUEEEEEE

fard
You haven't actually watched, have you? Why are mispronouncing everything?

False, you’re nitpicking, it’s bad, you’re bad, quit UA-cam, go back to making landbit.
