Yeah, I'm wondering about the translation. Like 24 mans are normally 4 bosses with a hallway and a couple trash packs between them. I feel like they don't want one long dungeon with Fausts, so they might cut them into just the arenas. Similar to cases like Innocence Trial and Extreme where the MSQ version has the "fat" form and then transition into the "Oh no, he's hot!" form, while the Extreme just starts you straight with his angel form from the start. Will be doing it and o actually don’t mind the suffering! Makes the clear feel that much better. Not gonna race but gonna go pretty hard. Would love to finish in 1-3 months.
There are a lot more people like this interviewer, just sadly they don't have the viewer numbers to be noticed in the creator community. I've seen so many generic interviews from media tour and various events which made me wonder where are the true, knowledgeable creators, why are they not getting invited to such events and why do we get to see so many interviews from people who's knowledge about the game is very limited so they don't ask meaningful questions? This interview is absolutely top quality, asking very good questions, would love to see more like this!
A savage alliance raid would be the perfect opportunity to refresh the CT raids, and let people actually see the mechanics that probably nobody remembers still exist these past however many years Still remember seeing hundred cuts on phlegethon that very first time and the entire raid lost their shit, learning that that’s where the criss-cross/grid aoe mechanic first appeared
Man I would absolutely love they call the Savage Alliance BCNM. For those who haven't played 11, means Burning Circle Notorious Monster. With seals, people farmed a hard mode version of instanced fights which tend to be pretty tough. The rewards tend to be hit or miss in same manner treasure maps are. Too bad they can't use Dynamis as the name since its taken
As good as this interview is, I still need to see more details on how this is going to be implemented before I get excited. YoshiP is still impossibly vague when he talks about this stuff, and it’s super frustrating. I’m beyond the point of “trust me, bro” and need some concrete details (because I suspect they have no idea what this content is going to be beyond the idea that it exists).
Anything scheduled for 7.1 would have to be pretty far into development, probably at the stage of being play tested and tweaked for the high difficulty content. I'm shocked that they haven't already done a live letter giving the details on what's coming in 7.1-3 and rough outline to 7.5 like they did near the start of endwalker, because there is so much dawntrail stuff that's only been mentioned in passing in interviews or at fanfests.

... what if. Echoes of Vana'diel completion... then Dynamis based one of the regions in Dawntrail for the savage. It would be a perfect connection, and a wonderful throwback.
i think it'd make more sense if the 24 man savage is tied to one of the bosses in alliance raids.. cos it seems like too much resources being dedicated to develop savage exclusive content if its like an entirely new thing (imagine if they introduced Delubrum savage without normal). so its not the same thing per se, but an experience that is derived from it, and finetuned. either that or something akin to a 24 man unreal trial
And then this new 24 man savage will not have what are believed to be adequate rewards which will lead to everyone who wanted it so badly complaining about it non stop and saying it shouldn't even exist in the first place.
There is Memoria Misera Ex as a preexisting case of they opening a relic-adjacent storyline with mostly solo content and an above-casual encounter, so maybe that's what they're doing.
yeah it's probably a one time thing like that to see how players react. That one had dyeable AF gear I think, so maybe some reskinned cosmetics for this with hopefully 625/30 ilvl so it's another gearing option. This one's confirmed for 7.1 though, so at least it's not tied to relic quest if we're building relics from the exploration zone as expected as that's .2x
@@DacianGradaMusic The dyeable AF also had decent-ish ilvl so it was good for gearing alt jobs. A new ilvl725 or 730 gear set feels like such a logical reward, besides any cosmetics or mounts that may end up attached to it. It feels a bit soon to say if it can or cannot be tied to relics, as the questline could start in patch .1 but only get the actual relics and exploration zone in .2. Is it admittedly unlikely? Yes, but I wouldn't discard the possibility outright. I do think it's more likely attached to Alliances in some way, however. Bozja's first patch came with a duty and Memoria Misera, not an exploration zone, after all. It did come with the first step of the relics, however.
Is it too much to ask for more EX grade content? It's a great middle ground between normal mode and balls to the wall savage and the game needs more of it.
Not at all but I think it's a decent enough bridge already, you start performing well in Ex and skipping mechs you can hit the savage DPS check. The Savage -> Ultimate jump in my opinion is where we need a bit more of a bridge to encourage more people to try it.
Honestly, savage alliance raids tend to be on the easier side of savage mechanically, so this might be what you want. Drs was mostly ex level mechanics, and it was only really it’s length that made it savage.
Since ARR relaunch, this is probably the most interested ive been to see what they do. I dont really care about difficulty. i just want it to be fun with fun characters from xi or xi adjacent with music and a storyline that is high quality as xi was. A Promathia fight with an actual prishe/ulmia story would probably make me never unsub from xiv. Its be awesome to get on roulettes
Do you guys think the savage AR will have 4 bosses? Or something like 2 or 3? Since it's not tied to anything they could theoretically not go with the 4 boss format.
everytime i came in ct2 im quite sad that all this people wont ever experience getting stoned on the first boss or the plattforms on the second boss , would be realy nice to see that again.
Not looking forward to Eden tbf, since Top was so ridiculous annoying to prog, I hope that Eden gets to be more like DSR or TEA.I will check it out for sure, but if I get the TOP vibes, I stop proging immediately cause my sanity is worth more x)
I'm all for more savage content even though it's something I'll never do, more for everyone is cool. As long as it's not filled with glam rewards that I want though :( its bad enough all the savage raids having the dyable gear in them without doing that to alliance raids too.
So 7.1 is going to technically have 3 raids from what I gather here... FF11 raid, 24 man savage raid and eden ultimate? That's going to keep us busy for a while on a weekly basis.
7.2 will be fine as long as 16 has nothing close to be released, because if that thing farts a dlc of any kind, I wouldnt be at all surprised that the most pivotal moments of cruiserweight will be break like an early access ps5 exclusive
If I understood this right, the 24m savage raid won't necessary be from the new alliance series or the exploration content. It'll be it's own theme at least, which is awesome. Still, would it be naïve to hope that it is Nier related? Yoshi-P did say that we'd get more Nier content in the future (And no. The minion from the mobile game (that's now been discontinued btw) doesn't count as content).
please no... as much as i like the nier raids compared to most people a collab without purpose in the game feels so bad. I guess when it's a one-off thing like MH it's fine, but even that has some loose lore ties; nier is just in its bubble and it just doesn't fit as well... At most I can see them adding mashups of the gear pieces with the double dye channels or something + maybe more mounts and minions if they really want to have more of it...
@@DacianGradaMusichonestly, the nier story was so batshit insane that I just want to see where it’s cliffhanger ending leads. 6.x and dawntrail’s stories were boring enough that I could use a bit of insanity to make up for it.
I'm looking forward to doing FRU, but I'm starting to worry this expansion will be a bit too content heavy for my personal taste. I like to feel like I've done the hardest content the game has to offer (group content). I've been on the unpopular opinion side during all the "FFXIV doesn't have enough content" rants whether it's from the Lynx Kameli video or a wider range of content creators speaking up about it toward the end of Endwalker. I kind of like my savage/ulti and chill in the rest of the time formula it's been for years. I like criterion for a for fun blind prog one and done, but not sure I really care about savage criterion existing either.
First off looking forward to seeing how they'll implement the 24-man raids in savage difficulty. But also is it me or does it feel like trying to find a balance to the game where everyone can be happy is incredibly hard to do. What I mean is that doesn't it seem strange that in the past they had to nerf some stuff because players said it was to tough. But when it came to Endwalker that it was to easy. Where do you find the balance between it so it can be both relaxing. But also challenging. Also sure people are divided over the story of Dawntrail. I'm one of the people who enjoyed it. Also feeling like this expansion is less at stake because we just finished cutting most of the ties from the Hydaelyn/Zodiark arc. So a breather like this is inevitable. But how does trying to stop a being who's using the Relic to go into other dimensions or reflections to absorb their souls so her people can flourish not have those higher stakes?
But can we get an updated The Blackest Knight? At the very least, it should be free, the way that Bloodwhetting is free. And that move is about 4 times better!
I will be honest, i am not really fond of this. Endwalker was already a disaster with no midcore content and only content for hard core players and DT seems headed in the same direction. They really need to stop only think about savage/ultimate and start making content for the 99% other players.
I'm worried a 24 man savage raid is fated to become dead content. What incentives will they introduce to make people want to run these duties given the absolutely gargantuan requirement of coordinating 24 people? I don't see it happening after a patch or two has passed.
depending on the implementation they might have interesting glam options or just fun enough mechanics to make people organize groups like BA/DRS, if received well it might be the start of a new pattern of releases with another gearing option for the current raid tier. There isn't really truly "dead" content in the game anyways
When he refers to “completely different boss” does he mean a singular boss or is this a figure of speech as in English “x is an entirely different beast”?
I want the XI Alliance raids to require an item to pop it, and said item requires weeks of farming to get with 8 or so people. Then the raid needs to take 4-5 hours to complete, being completely mericless, and make people lose exp if they die. I need it. I yearn to feel the struggle.
@@andreluizxd2873Better reward structure and more uniqueness to the higher difficulties is all it needs, I wouldn't expect completely reworked 4 man content but rather better rewards and funner hard mode of what we got in EW.
@@andreluizxd2873but that's exactly the 4 man content 😂 i'll take those vs more normal dungeons as fun as DT ones were... Criterion is great, even Variant had its decent replayability with the paths and glam grind. Just fix the higher difficulty rewards and we're golden
kinda hard to have mistranslation when yoship had official translators as confirmed by the interviewer. There's also mention of "entirely new content"... We'll have definite confirmation in like a few weeks with the next Live Letter anyways
Why do people still want alliance savage, there is an mmo that already showcased how insanity inducing such a thing is. Do you all really want to deal with some dude with a foreign accent screaming at you in comms MORE DOTS or -50 DKP. And lets be real pf can barely coordinate with 8 people, whats making people think 24 man would be any better? lol
Bro just dont do it if you dont want LOL its optional having more options in content is never a bad thing for anyone literally complaining abt nothing brother
@@trapzirra4944 it seems a waste of resources to make this content when it being a dumpster fire is going to be the final result. Just hope they don't put anything significant in this sort of content (I.e cool mounts or glams) unless you want to deal with that dumpster fire lmao. Bozja and eureka like content are best suited for savage type 24 + content I dont see much reason to bring it out of these types of content and try to balance it out for normal play without the things you get in those Edit: It also solidifies the life span of that content if they relegate 24 man savages to that, putting it there means they can put in whatever they want as rewards since ozma already is a thing for that sort of content.
@@natebroadus8474 didnt read the edit if already said 24 man savage is good for that content more so delibrium because of the added actions and different stat weights you can get. Less so ozma because that only still works because of a dedicated group that you wont find in the wild of pf. If you put ozma in pf without that discord its a nightmare
DT has been praised by many people for the difficulty literally everywhere. The only mechanic people have complained about is the one from the first boss of Strayborough. It's pretty much common opinion that DT's saving grace is the work of the battle designers. Maybe *you're* the one that's part of the minority echo chamber that thinks the opposite lol.
it's quite the opposite. Dawntrail is basically Stormblood v2 it seems... Story is polarizing but not "terrible" and combat content is amazing and pretty much universally liked. You can't say that EW dungeons and trials were more fun and engaging than DT ones it's just not true. The combat design has been amazing and I can finally queue into DT dungeons without dozing off midway lol
@@DacianGradaMusic Eh, maybe after tackling a few savages and an ultimate, I might be just adjusted to harder content, but DT dungeons still had me snoozing on all 3 roles lol. 24 man savage outside of exploration zones sound interesting, but I'll certainly wait until live letter before I throw my hands up and go " huzzah!" because there is a few factors I'm wondering about. will it be as hard as DRS? will it have the same rez mechanics? what will the rewards be? one could assume gear, but it could just be a mount again.. which I wouldn't complain at all, but I know some people are looking for gear alternatives outside of 8 man savages. but if it is a break from the norm, I'm okay with it.

A savage alliance raid better give some damn good gear
A savage alliance better drop the first ever 8 man mount that only ONE can get it.
@@Paraguai123 but we already have an 8 man mount?
@@guifmurb Keyword being DROP
You only know it won't. Yoshi P and the devs are scared to change anything gear related or dungeon/raid design.
@@dragonmares59110 I'd be happy with a generous dose of 720->730 upgrade mats
A savage alliance raid would be the perfect opportunity to refresh the CT raids, and let people actually see the mechanics that probably nobody remembers still exist these past however many years
Still remember seeing hundred cuts on phlegethon that very first time and the entire raid lost their shit, learning that that’s where the criss-cross/grid aoe mechanic first appeared
I have a feeling that this Ultimate is going to be big ouchie. Yoshi P is cooking something right now.
I mean they've kinda hinted that Fatebreaker is gonna be a very big phase in the Ultimate
It's possible it'll be 4 fights that are just load-in arena battles like Savages, just with 24 players instead of 8.
Contrast DR Savage which was a dungeon like the normal version, though on a different map, where you go through all the bosses in the one single lockout.
Definitely seems like the quote is one of those "Can we get an official translation, please?" cases.
... what if. Echoes of Vana'diel completion... then Dynamis based one of the regions in Dawntrail for the savage.
It would be a perfect connection, and a wonderful throwback.
If ultimate and savage 24-man are both in 7.1, I'd expect the 24-man to probably be 7.15 so it's a substantial time from FRU and 7.2 ultimate
i think it'd make more sense if the 24 man savage is tied to one of the bosses in alliance raids.. cos it seems like too much resources being dedicated to develop savage exclusive content if its like an entirely new thing (imagine if they introduced Delubrum savage without normal). so its not the same thing per se, but an experience that is derived from it, and finetuned.
either that or something akin to a 24 man unreal trial
And then this new 24 man savage will not have what are believed to be adequate rewards which will lead to everyone who wanted it so badly complaining about it non stop and saying it shouldn't even exist in the first place.
we can only hope, they heard the rewards complaints and are reportedly working on it...
@@DacianGradaMusic
The dyeable AF also had decent-ish ilvl so it was good for gearing alt jobs.
Orbonne savage would be my choice, especially because I feel like theres more to the Ultima/Heart of Sabik story they could dive into
everytime i came in ct2 im quite sad that all this people wont ever experience getting stoned on the first boss or the plattforms on the second boss , would be realy nice to see that again.
Any info when Alliance raid will come out?
Alliance raid is always on odd numbered patches
November, on 7.1
next one o 7.3 and 7.5
Not looking forward to Eden tbf, since Top was so ridiculous annoying to prog, I hope that Eden gets to be more like DSR or TEA.I will check it out for sure, but if I get the TOP vibes, I stop proging immediately cause my sanity is worth more x)
I'm all for more savage content even though it's something I'll never do, more for everyone is cool. As long as it's not filled with glam rewards that I want though :( its bad enough all the savage raids having the dyable gear in them without doing that to alliance raids too.
i can think by 24 player savage it is either like bozja or like a boss rush mode, like all 4 bosses without trash in between and surely enrages
Hell yeah Ken
My gut says we're getting Asmon (Savage) for real.
He is Kenough
Was excited for Eden since it was announced, but im a bit scared now. since my free time will suffer with 24-man savage on top XD
@5:25 Dang, just gonna oust your PR and Marketing teams as casuals like that. Sheeeeeeesh
now i want all 3 CT raids savage
But can we get an updated The Blackest Knight? At the very least, it should be free, the way that Bloodwhetting is free. And that move is about 4 times better!
It does almost seem like he may have mispoke though. He could have just meant the 24man normal and ultimate.
11 HYPE
What I learned is marketing and PR teams dps sucks while dev team are Chads
As a not world race ultimate enjoyer, I am scared with what they can do with all the eden mechs that we came across
I will be honest, i am not really fond of this. Endwalker was already a disaster with no midcore content and only content for hard core players and DT seems headed in the same direction. They really need to stop only think about savage/ultimate and start making content for the 99% other players.
Kinda scared how things are going forward tbh >.>, I like the DPS check in M2 M3 and M4, but M1 it wasn't fair to the fight.
I'm worried a 24 man savage raid is fated to become dead content. What incentives will they introduce to make people want to run these duties given the absolutely gargantuan requirement of coordinating 24 people? I don't see it happening after a patch or two has passed.
especially alongside an ultimate which your more dedicated players are more than likely still going to be busy with in the most part
eureka is still going strong and that requires even more people then 24 people.
People still do Delubrum Reginae (Savage) and the Baldesion Arsenal and organize parties for that.
depending on the implementation they might have interesting glam options or just fun enough mechanics to make people organize groups like BA/DRS, if received well it might be the start of a new pattern of releases with another gearing option for the current raid tier. There isn't really truly "dead" content in the game anyways
@@Lorkanthalyeah, BA is popular to this day. If the content is fun and has rewards, people will show up to it.
Sounds promising 🎉
Eden Ultimate will be the first ultimate I really tackle
Hey Mr Happy I’m watching it and I think
Savage Syrcus Tower??? Dear Twelve Preserve us all
If the boss is based on the FFXI raid, and the fight doesn't take 24 hours, then what was even the point?
When he refers to “completely different boss” does he mean a singular boss or is this a figure of speech as in English “x is an entirely different beast”?
I want the XI Alliance raids to require an item to pop it, and said item requires weeks of farming to get with 8 or so people. Then the raid needs to take 4-5 hours to complete, being completely mericless, and make people lose exp if they die. I need it. I yearn to feel the struggle.
and you have to schedule your raid time a week in advance
Baldesion Arsenal 2
Give us farming Dolls for Despot as the start
Pandaemonium Warden not being in the Pandaemonium raid was a missed opportunity
The whole raid should just take place in valkurm dunes fighting crabs
am i the only one that wants a new thing to be th 24man savage and not an old raid made into a savage raid ?
24 man savage in PF is gonna be the single most clown fest stupid thing ever im calling it now
It will be a disaster and it will be glorious
Oh boy, BA/DRS but outside a field op!
I love Ken W
Story wise Endwalker alliance raids were good, but gameplay wise they were so easy and Thaleia was disappointing.
4 man content, for god sake thats what we need
They already confirmed ages ago another 3 V&C Dungeons.
@@michaelell389 we don't talk about variant/criterion dungeons here
@@andreluizxd2873 Sounds like a you problem, V&C are great and with better rewards Criterion Savage would be great as well.
PF gulag, crying for my sanity
In short PF will be even more “PF”
I just dont want more arena only raids, that got boring.
I feel it was a typo or mistranslation and it was mean to be 4 man savage (criterion)
kinda hard to have mistranslation when yoship had official translators as confirmed by the interviewer.
There's also mention of "entirely new content"...
We'll have definite confirmation in like a few weeks with the next Live Letter anyways
Make drk great again
I hope yoshi-p don't overestimate the average skill level of FF14 players. If vote abandon happens in a 24man alliance, it's overtuned.
Bozja and eureka like content are best suited for savage type 24 + content I dont see much reason to bring it out of these types of content and try to balance it out for normal play without the things you get in those
Edit: It also solidifies the life span of that content if they relegate 24 man savages to that, putting it there means they can put in whatever they want as rewards since ozma already is a thing for that sort of content.
Because FFXIV's psychos are Disney compared to that maniac.😂
People still do Delubrum Reginae (Savage) and Baldesion Arsenal perfectly fine I think you're exaggerating. We already have a 24+ man savage.
Bro where are they getting their data? Who are these players that are liking these mechanics? I think they are listening to the crazed minority.
@@SilverwingedBat I must be the only one not enjoying this expansion.
Every forum and website has praise the battle content. It’s the story that is universally hated on and rightfully so.
it's quite the opposite.
