This workout was great. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a good mix of cardio and strength or even if you're more a cardio person and you'd like to get into strength training more. I don't even own a bench for stepping, but I did other cardio exercises instead (e.g. skater lunges instead of side hop over, jumping jack session, side squat-lung-hop combination or simply all movements without stepping bench, but putting more speed and energy into it) and I'm a sweaty right now 😅. It's all about movement, right 😉!? And with this workout, it's quite easy to find alternatives as there's no choreography involved. Thank you, Chris!
I'm 74 and have been doing Chris's step classes for several months. I had done step many years ago. Love the fast basic classes and just started step and strength classes. Thanks so much. Love, love Chris's classes. I'm so glad I found them.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis and Christine’s workouts tick all the boxes! Cardio, weights, quad strengthening and, most importantly, fun!! She helps me stay committed to my health and well-being ❤ Highly recommend!
I like the 3 minutes step portion with 1 minute strength segment. I do slow down the weight portion as I'm trying to increase my weights without sacrificing form. Keep up the great workouts!

Comment #2 I missed Saturday's live and I looked at the after party and decided I am not yet that caliber of step so taking Chis's suggestion of doing another workout and since I had book marked this workout as a favorite, I decided to do it again. I am a sweaty mess. WOW this is still a favorite. And if you are wondering, NO, it is not easier the second time, but all the fun is still there. My title to this workout would be GIVE THIS ONE A TRY, YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID.

I have returned to teaching Pilates 10 classes or more a week _ as well as being a full-time grade 4 teacher and when people ask me how do I do it I tell them “CDorner Fitness! I love step and strength workouts! They really get the cardio going on the off-days from strength training. Planks are hard enough as they are but then the added challenge is laughing while you demonstrate how not to do a plank!😂 Thank you!

Hi. I found your workouts because I don't want to go to classes and keep leaving my little 17 year old terrier home alone! They are brilliant and have re-awoken my love of Step which I've not done since my 20s. I'm now 60. Keep 'em coming and they keep Bandit happy cos his mum is home with him if not a little sweaty.

Loved this workout! Combo Strength and basic to intermediate step, I did it! As I said before I was just diagnosed with osteoporosis at 60 years old. Had broke my shoulder when fell on ice. Apparently a woman loses a significant amount of bone density and bone in early years of going through menopause. Some like me lost even more. Due to my age can only do treatments that increase bone density but can’t replace what bone itself lost. Apparently there are temporary treatments that you can discuss with your doctor if you are just into menopause that prevent the rapid loss of bone density and bone loss. That way you don’t end up like me. Happy Saturday! 🎉
Love doing your workouts early in the morning before getting ready for work... they wake me up and get me energized for the day! The step and weights videos are extra great because we get some cardio mixed in with our strength work. Thank you, Chris!
This was such a good workout. I have been doing the live workouts almost every day for just over a month. I started using 1 and 3 pound weights. Today I used an 8 pound weight for the entire workout. It's amazing what a "workout a day" will do. Thank you Chris for showing me how to improve without injury. The variety of the workouts have really helped me to improve posture, overall strength, stamina, balance, and mobility.
Returning to step aerobics after CrossFit became too intense, and this is the perfect mix of a fun step class and solid strength training. Love your sense of humor and your skill as a trainer!
I haven’t done step in years. I’ve been focusing on weights. This workout was fun with the step and weights. Easy to follow step directions. Nice challenge without being too technical to follow. Reminded me how much I enjoy step!

I’m recently retired and I set my alarm to work out with one of your videos because if I don’t start my day exercising with you, then my day gets away and I don’t work out. Holy moly!! I am a sweaty mess! I had to slow down the compound moves as I noticed I was losing form and sometimes using momentum. I would rather be slower and have good form and get all the benefits than to do them fast and risk injury. Thanks for this awesome class Chris! 🇨🇦💕
