- Tool Live. 2002. Denver, CO. Full Concert.
This is one of my favorite recordings and probably one of the few I've listened to constantly for years. It might not be the cleanest of them all, but it's an extremely well done capture. Once again, as with all my attempts, "remastered" here means my amateur attempt to make the stuff just sound a little better. It's definitely one of the best 2002 shows and I've listened to it a trillion times, so I thought I'd give it a go.

I have no idea how people were able to get such high quality bootlegs back in ‘02 (and before)…but I’m 100% here for it.

pls pin this list ...
Brilliant
37:48- the song is clearly about dissatisfaction resulting from an IKEA purchase.
I know the pieces fit...watch the pieces crumble...point the finger, blame the other...bring the pieces back together.
it made me laugh so hard XD
Cracked the code, grats man.
sorry, but what the hell is Ikea?
Augusto Vitor google.will tell you, but you can only KNOW it by visiting it and leaving with a box
"IKEism" by Tool.
2002 was a great year to see Tool live
1998 > 1996 >> 1997 > 2001 > 2002
after 2002 they got repetitive , before 1996 they were still honing their sound/live presence
1998 = Greatest rock band of the last 40 years (imho)
My first Tool show(s) was 1992 & that was pretty entertaining as well. This 2002 show at the P-center was awesome as well. Have completely enjoyed every (over a dozen,) Tool performance I have been lucky enough to attend, always a good time.
@@sotool1531 YOOO Agreed
@@sotool1531 saw them In 93 ( 2 times ) , 94 and 97 for the Aenema Tour . The 4 gigs were sharp like a Swiss knife .
@@sotool1531 I think it would be more like 2002 > 1998 > 1996
I was fortunate enough to be at this show with an old friend of mine J.J. Foster. It’s was awesome!! So cool that I get to relive it again!! If you’re reading this J.J., thanks for taking me to that show my brotha! Miss you bro🎸🎸🎶🎶
The transitions between Reflection, Disposition and Triad are amazing.
I was there. Wasn't even a huge TOOL fan at the time but this show blew me away. They've been my favorite band of all time since 2004.
It’s 2020 and I’m just discovering this performance. Better late than never 👏😎💯
2020 is when we need this performance the most.
2022!
2023
The little variation by Adam at 18:22 made me so damn happy.
timboaf21 That variation is just amazing...sounds better than album version for sure!!! Wish they would play this live again someday.
Agreed
@@yvonrichard4824 Saw them play it live in 2016 actually.
I like the at 18:42 even more
21:12 HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SHIT
+Nicolás Riveros forget your silly whim, it doesn't fit the plan.
Nicolás Riveros Maynard going super sayan 4
Greatest outro of all time
God damn I thought there was going to be HD video footage.
Perhaps a sneaky positive way to school youngsters to sit back and listen...focus on the audio? Visuals, while sometimes may enhance, usually are a distraction. Listen...
The Patient is such an underrated song.
describes perfectly the last 10 years of tool xD it used to be my favourite on Lateralus
That song has very strong attachment to a very fucked up period in my life. It's one of the most bittersweet moments. It's my absolute favorite song by Tool, but its very hard for me to listen to. that song sounds like pain and loss incarnate
Brooks Stacks xx
Very Nice to play ön guitar 👌.
@@TheHive616 My mom just spent the last week in the ICU on life support, that song absolutely cooks. Check out the NYC 2002 version if you haven't already. and H. OMG
This isn't just a great tool concert, it is one of the greatest concert performances ever captured.
That show was incredible! My teenage son was wearing the T-shirt we bought from that show a few weeks ago.
I was at this show, this was one of the few times I've heard them play 4° live. Tomahawk was the opening band which was also fantastic. John Stainer (Helmet, Tomahawk) came out and played accompanying drums on Triad. Thanks for the memories
Holy shit. I'm about to cry... this is so unbelievably good...
One of the best versions of 4 degress ive heard. Thats a great song on its own, but really badass to hear live. they should bring it back.
Amazing show! That guitar tone is so massive
Tool's live performances out do their studio work. The feel of making the music by everyone on stage comes through with so much more emotion. I'm glad you've shared this.
Sounds awesome! Thank you. The "added" part in Schism (41:55) its surreal, and let the song breathes
the intro to and the extended version of Schism gave me goosebumps. just Incredible!
ToolArchive -- As a 52 year old Tool fan since I first dropped the needle on my vinyl copy of "Opiate", let me thank you for providing one of the best live Tool recordings I've ever heard. I've been fortunate to see each tour going back to "Undertow", and I am hoping a new release will come out in my lifetime!!!!
Crazy, This was my first concert ever I was like 16. Dany Cary blew us all away and everyone was cheering all of the way back to their cars. EPIC first show!
Same age as Maynard!
Lucky you buddy. Im a Chilean fan who keeps dreaming that some day will be able to seeing them live....the closest was A perfect circle back in 2013 (Lollapalooza Santiago)....Its true that Maynard has lost some of the power of his voice, but to me it does not matter.....maybe 2020 with a new record uner their belt they decide that traveling to southamerica is a worthy "waste of time".
I knew the day I made this, it was special! At the Intermission was the first clue, then the Trinity! Capped by Lateralus. Man O Man! 18Years this year! BT
I hope you made it❤️
The sound quality is awesome. Great set list.
They sound incredible here!! I wish I could have seen them at this time!!
18:57 shows just how much power is behind Danny's playing.
Beautiful upload; thanks!
Sounds like a fucking explosion lol
Dude you are a BOSS for making this happen. Think I'll put another trillion on the odometer. This is one of the few listenable recordings on the weebs, and that's a pretty big place so...well done sir!
24:04 is the most intense thing I've heard in my entire life
Great upload again, ToolArchive. I just love you whoever you are!
This is mind blowing even being 100% sober.............................I got into Tool abut 2002/2003 and I live in Colorado but I never made any of the shows. Early 2000's too mid 2000's these guys sound unmatched.
6:50 this is one of my favorite variations of the Sober outro. The tone on Adam's guitar sounds so good.
I've listened to this for 5 years straight. Anytime I need background music I come here. This is a beautiful recording..
4 degrees, the grudge, 46%2, stinkfist, parabola, the patient,, shit I guess the whole thing was dope.
My blood pressure raised upon hearing this.
Thank you thank you thank you, I was fortunate enough to see this show and hearing this recording has taken me there again!:)
Ben Fullmer
I wanted to see it too, but lost hope when they sold out in something like 38 seconds.... :(
I was there too.
Thank you soo much for all of the content you post for us, its all awesome stuff and we all really appreciate all that you do for us die hard tool fans. You make the pieces fit
Thank you so much for making this available.
Wow, great quality and what a setlist! Thanks!
Never heard the grudge live. One of my favorites, didn't know the scream was possible live. Thanks for the upload
They are so damn good live
I was there! Great to revisit the epicness of the evening. Thanks ToolArchive!!
Sounds pretty fricking amazing here, many thanks!
Wow. This is beyond epic, amazing job dude.
1:47:10 Adam's solo in Triad there is fucking hype.
That was awesome, I hope there are lots more of these live recordings
21:12 This should be the best "The Grudge" that I've heard! Sad because the Maynard vocal blows and bursts sometimes... But every note is in their place!
"Sad"..
No way.
You are amazing, sir/madam. The usual thanks for filling me up with as much Tool as I could hope for.
WOW!! whoever you are, a million thanks for this upload! Best I've heard .. ever!
Jesteście dla mnie najlepszymi Ojcami, braćmi jakimi mogłam sobie tylko wymarzyć!
I've never been able to go to a show, so thank you so much for uploading these
Went to this show and sat in the luxury suites, thanks for bringing back a great memory and a wonderful evening with friends.
Such a great job on the audio. I played it through my car speakers and on my really good headphones. And it really sounds great. Full and booming. Like your actually there. Minus actually being there. Great job. Thank you.
Thanks for your efforts putting all the videos together
Parabol and Parabola... Holy shit that blew me away.
Been listening to this live recording in anticipation of this weekend's show in San Diego.
Awesome show. Great job. One of the best ive heard done
AMAZING SOUND! thank you for share
I traveled from Chicago out to see this show. Still one of my favorites of all time!
My wife and I were at this show and this brings back so many memories. Best fucking band ever! Thanks for uploading and taking me back there.
My first concert and first TOOL show. Thank you so much for bringing it all back to me. :)
Was there too, nothing better. Standing outside the Pepsi center high as shit haha
1h49m5s you can hear Adam playing the riff from 10,000 days (Wings) in the background, unless it was added "artificially" (This is great since 10,000 wasn't out till four years later).
now THAT sounds TIGHT !!! THX
Sounds great, thanks.
Awesome....thanks for sharing. I was at this show. It was one for the ages (as they all are)
Freaking awesome, thanks!
Thank you so much
Beautiful thank you.
Best recording of parabol parabola. Thank you for the share.
Wow reflection..
Maynard talking and Adam playing an early version of the wings for Marie riff sounds so beautiful
Love how they changed up thier setlist through the months and years long Lateralus tour! A lot of us went to multiple shows so it was good to see the setlist change
old tool 😔
The tracklisting changes are a story they like to demostrate how the story stays the same even if the details are changed
The tracklisting changes are a story they like to demostrate how the story stays the same even if the details are changed
I just sat in my couch saing: "Daamm, that's a fucking great set list, Imma listen a couple of song while I make some homework". So I started banging my head to "Sober", now I'm half way of "Reflection" and I haven't done anything, I don't fucking regret it!
This is fucking awesome!
I was at this show..thanks for the upload.
2:27. Pure orgasmic bliss.
The edit puts me right INSIDE the dome, I wish I could have been there. (I was 7 years old though.) This is close enough, many many thanks!
Holy fuck that Triad
+lrn2swim Holy fuck, that 'The Patient' (but yes, holy fuck that Triad too, holy fuck it all)!
+lrn2swim holy fuck that whole show
+Nicolás Riveros Haha. Indeed. This is peak Tool.
I'd tell you, but I don't give a holy fuck.
Disposition made me cry
Glenn Scott it really is beautiful
So sad
saw them in Boston on this tour - brings me back. they were on point.
Yes. Such a fantastic show.

I check out tool stuff a lot, and have never stumbled upon this show. Nice. Thanks for posting it. Strange to hear a tune like 4 degrees In 2002 isn't it (?)
I also want to thank you for all the work you put into these videos for us. I personally would never experience any of this if it were not for you. Is there any way you can give us a download link? You did a great job, and I want to bring this with me!
Your God this is a superb performance!
The Patient!
Wow! What 👏 a 👏 set 👏 list 🖤
I was a sous chef at the Pepsi Center when they came here. I watched the whole thing.
dood, do you know CrispyChris? He mentioned you alot at fiddlers too!
In 4 degrees, at about 10:13, it sounds like he says "Life's too short to fuck it up!" Awesome. I like this better than the other lyrics.
Dude I fucking agree, coming from a guy with one tattoo that says 4° haha
Thanks man, peace
such a good recording, without the audio tearing this would probably be the best tool live recording of all time
Man this concert is unreal. Pretty trippy too. Only if i was there to get the full experience

Saw this show after having seen them in Colorado Springs a couple nights previously. Maynard was day-glo blue all over with fluorescent symbols adorning his writhing body.
F#@KING AWESOME! Thank You ToolArchive !!!!!
my first tool show. good times
Great Year For Seeing Them Between 2002 An 4 I Saw Them 7 Times That Lat Tour Had Like 3 Totally Different Stage Acts
Yeah this is awesome. Thanks.
One hell of a playlist too goddamn, envy those people who were there
i love TOOL :)
the recording of the grudge here is absoutely brilliant
This whole show is incredible, but Parabol and Parabola blew me away.
