I love this video. Watched two others that went straight to the CNC machine. Thank you for making this with tools we have and/or can afford. This is what a woodworking channel should be all about. Looking forward to the next project. Keep them coming!
Thank you so very much! You are the person I make videos for. I'm not the best Woodworker in the world for sure, but I enjoy sharing a little and showing people how to make some pretty cool things without having to buy a complete high dollar shop with all of the most expensive tools.
Hopefully this is exactly makes this channel explode! We all have something to learn from each other. It’s not a matter of what I can build and you can’t, it’s lets build this together.
@@sparetimewoodworker1505 your my hero for making this video have been struggling with this project for some time , you broke it down in easy and understandable steps. Keep up the awesome work!!

No idea how I stumbled to this video, but damn I'm glad I did. Bad ass. Also do you think you can share the measurements like in a link or your Insta? I don't have Facebook & I saw that you said Lee Edwards has it on his. Thanks!!
Awesome job man really nice work I know you've been asked quite a few times about layout and measurements if there's any chance you can share it I would appreciate it I would love to make it for one of my family members thanks so much brother

I used a 36 grit flap sanding discs to rough it out. It is aggressive, but not too aggressive where I had to worry about taking too much material off. You can then work through finer frits or go right to the palm sander.
Thanks 🙏 I was wondering couldn’t you just share what you were looking at on your phone when you were making it? It looks like an outline and dimensions.
@@sparetimewoodworker1505 could you ask for his permission to share or his e mail. You were great at sending me what you had. But somehow I can't figure out the angles to get it right. I tried 5 times now. Thsnks again for this great video. Best flag ever

Gave 5 bucks for a sketch that looked as if a middle schooler drew up and no matter what I did the measurements that were on the diagram were by no means going to work out .
I'd seen a video like it 5 months ago, finally picked the wood up, two weeks later, drew the dimensions I'd seen on the video out, sat for another month waiting on weather, just carved out the waves and folds, now it sits some more for spare time, need to tape off and draw stars, but on a better note started and completes 4 other flags in the same weekend
LOOOVE the flag, and I'm usually not the safety police but people please unplug your tools before messing with the blade. Also clamping your material will help against kickback. Ive done these things the way you have so I know the temptation but it was just as stupid when I did it.
I just wanted to let you know this was great and there are a couple posers who created their video 2 months ago about this same subject. Real corny to. They act like they are figuring it out with pictures and drawings, math. What a joke. The sad part is they have more viewers and people will think they created it. Even if you didn't you just did it. Makes me mad. Thanks
Thanks for the video, but without much expansion doesnt domuch for someone trying to replicate what your doing. A simple voice over would have made this video great.
Honestly, the stars didn't come out that great. They should have been rotated more for a more realistic look. I just put the stencil down and started tracing where I thought they should go, lol.

What finishing spray did you use at the end?
It was a semigloss clear Rust-Oleum
